They have done a great job at preserving the beauty of this building and restoring it to it's old pharmacy days. The soda shop counter made me feel like a little kid. The guy behind the counter prepared an excellent chocolate ice cream soda treat. I loved walking through the back and seeing the old pharmacy section which still had old bottles, books, medicine and machines. What dismays me a little bit is that this shop is more of a novelty than a convenience. I suppose I would stop in again if I needed a gift or wanted an ice cream treat, but I don't see how the shop will draw regular customers. I feel like they could do well to include more convenient store items to appeal to the community. Or maybe they do so well with the tourists that it's not necessary! Either way, would hate to see this place close after they've fought so hard so preserve the nostalgia. If you're a fan of the movie 'It's a Wonderful Life', this is the closest you're going to get to visiting Old Man Gower's drugstore.

Although they do sell some(very limited) food items such as organic hot teas,etc I don't ever recall seeing a cafe here. On the other hand, this unique gift shop is welcoming & has a Earthly feel to the environment. I love the variety of crystals, one of a kind clothing and adorable lucky bamboo holders/plants. The jewelry selection is truly fantastic as you will not find anything else like it on the strip or in any department store. The selection of local art work (especially the photography) could be of better quality, a lot of the images were really grainy. Had they been printed in smaller sizes I'm pretty sure they would be stunning. The kitchen utensil jewelry, adorable mushroom purses and wind chimes make up for it though.
