If you want authentic, this place is it. The wife and I have been in search of a good Indian spot for a while now and although we've found some decent places, this one is by far the best that we've ever been to. I was excited to see a place so close to home and noticed that it was under new ownership. You can tell that the owners here have pride in their food. Upon walking in, the first thing that I noticed was that there was nothing but Indian people in the restaurant. It's like walking into a Mexican food spot and there's nothing but Mexicans. Jackpot. The food was not whitewashed like I was expecting which is probably why there were so many Indian people there. That being said, if you're not the type that likes full flavored/spiced Indian food, this might not be your favorite. My wife's favorite Indian dish is Mutter Paneer and that's actually what led me to try this place out. Unfortunately they didn't have it on the table today but all of the offerings were still very good. We tried several items that we had never tried before and were not disappointed. In comparison to Mehfil, which tons of people know about, the food quality far superior and they have much more selection as well. The only thing that they need to work on is service in general. Checking in on customers for drink refills, clearing off plates, etc. Outside of that we had a very pleasant experience and plan on visiting again soon. read more

It's been an year in Sacramento and I have been to almost 10-11 Indian restaurants and then comes this place in Rocklin call The Curry Leaves. Being a big time foodie I was thrilled to enjoy the authentic delicacies. And to my surprise I had the best lunch buffet in ages. Mouthwatering options and trust me all were delicious. Mine favorite from the buffet was Samosa Chaat, noodles and fruit custard. Podi Idli was definitely the best in town. Then comes the vegetable biryani, I was tired of searching for the authentic Biryani since I moved here and was disappointed from the places I have ordered previously. However, my hunger for Biryani was completely satisfied today. The place was very hygienic and were taking complete care of the Covid norms, staff was easily approachable and humble. Again, thank you for the delicious food. Looking forward to visit soon to try ala carte and Mango Mastani! Keep serving the good taste. read more

I would love to give Curry Leaves 10 stars but sadly I can only give them 5. My boyfriend and I decided to go out for dinner, originally he said sushi, but I won him over when I said Indian. Our normal spot was closed on Monday's, in hindsight I'm very thankful because had it not we wouldn't have found this place. We started off with the suggested order of chili shrimp (not on the menu) that are beyond the most magnificent flavor infused delightful shrimp I had even experienced. Blew both our minds. If you aren't one for spice, just know I'm pretty wimpy when it comes to spice but I managed to fight him away to eat half of the serving myself. For our main dishes we ordered some naan (staple) butter chicken, methi malai chicken, and a lamb biryani rice dish was the star of the show. All of the food was amazing! I've been actively seeking out Indian restaurants for over a decade, and in every state I've staved to (been to 27). In all my travels, and all the restaurants that I have visited NONE have been able to touch the depth of flavor curry Leaves was able to deliver. read more

The chicken tandoori was good but hard to go wrong on that one. The biryani rice was good. The butter chicken was below average for me. The yogurt is too diluted in my opinion. The Nan was good. Me and my husband LOVE this place for date night. They recently updated their menu and have added some Asian fusion dishes. This was a terrible $140.00 takeout experience. I was super excited because there seemed to be a lot of foot traffic and folks coming in to dine in just after the pandemic restrictions are being lifted. I thought to myself this had to be wonderful and delicious with so many folks dining in. I won't be returning to give the dine in a chance because the takeout was simply terrible. The hot and sour soup tasted like a campbell's vegetable soup that had sriracha poured into it. The masala dosas were burnt and I mean burnt... I showed them to the checkout person because I thought that they were plain dosas that were empty they had such little filling and they were so burnt; in addition, due to careless packaging both of my masala dosas were crushed. I ordered two of the tandoori grill sizzling platters at $19.99 a pop each... Each platter literally had almost half a tandoori chicken and some chicken breasts, lamb kofta, Not a lick of salmon (which was the whole reason why I ordered it... instead, they substituted grilled salmon with some weird white fish without warning), and literally two prawns. I paid the extra money for butter naan and received literally burnt naan - completely disgusting. Let's not even talk about the soups which were $4.99 a pop and served in containers that were not enough to even get broth into... Both the corn soup and the hot and sour soup were subpar. The chana masala was missing its tomato and instead was mostly cinnamon in flavor. The bhindi masala not very good could have passed on that too. The kicker was asking multiple times for mango chutney and mint chutney.... specifically mint chutney and instead getting two containers of ground up cilantro--- that's not mint chutney, folks! I just have to say never put a tip onto your bill when placing an online order before you see the quality of what's given to you I'm going to start marking zero on those auto-tipping systems. Somebody pull the chef and the staff aside there and let them know that when stuff comes out burnt they should not serve it to a customer at all. read more

Ordered ahead of time for takeout before getting there with our group, was told our food would be ready in 5-7 minutes. Our entire group's food came out before ours ever did. The lady we checked in with didn't ever go back to check on the status of our food though, just kind of let us wait... We waited 45 minutes in total... They were definitely understaffed, I felt terrible. The food was amazing. First time I've had Indian food. Can't wait to try it again. It was a Friday night, so it was super busy... Done, other than maybe lunch buffet. Again tried two more times. We were not in one of the big Indian parties. With the exception of the gentleman who helps bring food to the table, we were all but ignored while the other parties were helped. Not only that, but I'm the middle of taking our order face to face, we were told to hold on in the middle of a sentence so she could answer the phone and take a phone order. It happened s as well a few minutes prior when asking about drinks, but it was to tell about the hours they opened and to ask how many people were coming. We've come here many times and this just seems to be a pattern. The food, however, is absolutely fabulous and always has been. But damn, we just keep getting ignored. read more

We have done takeout from Curry Leaves several times now during the pandemic. Their food is very tasty, however wait times can be significant. I am not taking away any stars because of this since it's possible they have covid staffing issues, but I hope that improves soon. It appears as though they prioritize delivery orders vs. in-person takeout orders. The dosas are very good, nearly as good as Porotta's on Pleasant Grove Blvd. The orange chicken is something unique that we enjoyed. The butter chicken is good but a little dry. Overall definitely a solid choice if you want Indian food in Rocklin. Just don't be upset when your order takes an hour longer than expected. read more
