We passed by Everest Chill Pepper many times but never went in, until one day we were hungry for lunch and happened to be in the area. As a Taiwanese person, I was very curious and intrigued by the Indo-Chinese dishes on the menu. The shop was quiet and clean, there was only one other family there during our lunch. So we got seated and placed our order right away. There were several large screen TVs in the dining area playing various shows. One was displaying beautiful sceanaries from the Himalayas and that captured my attention for the longest time. Soon our food came. We ordered the steamed Chicken Momos, the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Naan and they all looked very good. We liked the curry, and the momos were fun to eat. It's a bit different but also very similiar to a Chinese bao. The Momo has much thiner skin and the filling tasted slightly different from a plain meat bao. To me, it feels kinda like a larger version of a soup dumpling without the pool of the broth inside. Needless to say, I found myself studying the momos while stuffing them into my mouth as they were quite delicious and easy to eat. Oveall, we were very glad we gave Everest Chilli Pepper a try as we enjoy the food and would like to try more Indo-Chinese dishes on our next visit. read more

Tried the Szechuan noodles and jhol veggie momos. The noodles were fantastic, too spicy for my kid. We both ate the jhol momos up. It's a tangy spiced tomato thin soup/sauce that goes so amazingly well with the momos. My child loves it with her garlic naan. Some of the dishes weren't to my taste: paneer dish was too minty but whatever not everything is going to be for me, nor should it be to be completely honest. This gets five stars for two of the 6 dishes :fish chili and lamb curry. Both showed superior skill, the lamb was falling apart to the lightest touch of the fork and it was to die for. Lamb isn't even something I tend to like, but you really should give it a try. I think it is special. Chicken tiki masala was very good as well. There are Indian menu and Indo chinese menu so we tried both. - Butter chicken: good. Although the bowl looked small, it had big chunks of tender chicken pieces. The gravy was creamy and it was more tomatoey for my liking (but it was still tasty!). - Garlic naan: perfectly baked a bit crispy yet still soft. There were lots of garlic on it so it was delicious! - Chicken pan fry momo: good. The momo pieces were big and juicy. The wrap wasn't too thick and the filling was full. Veg Pakora was the perfect blend of crispy and soft with a good balance of batter and veggies. Definitely recommend it. On the other hand masala chai was a bit disappointing- chai to milk ratio was off . Tasted more like elaichi dudh (cardamom milk). Paneer butter masala curry was on point! This one was hard to rate. Their service was amazing in that they made all the food from scratch to meet with my allergy. I understand that alliums are hard to not include, so absolutely five stars for that. Oh, I also noted that the bathrooms were clean and smelled nice. Not related to food, but a clean bathroom is an awesome sign of clean food. I wasn't the biggest fan of the food...as it had a lot of all-slice flavor that dominated everything. This is food you won't get any where else in Roseville. The family that runs the place is very kind and helpful. I've been to Nepal and the momos here are better than those in the home country. We've eaten here at least four or five times now, and have consistently had great experiences. The food is amazing, and the staff are very conscientious about working around food allergies. We are gluten free, and mentioned it while ordering; the kitchen switched to rice flour for one of our dishes. Everything can be adjusted to spice levels if your liking, and the saag paneer & butter chicken are the best I've had in the Sacramento area. Mango lassi was delish. Very thick, I could have prob added a lot of water to it (like 50% water, 50% lassi) and it'd have still been delish. Overall good food. Server had limited English but she was sweet, said from Nepal. But I was worried hubby might get sick in case she didn't understand the onion issue correctly. Wanted to try the momos but has onions. I would have gotten it for myself but I like sharing food w hubby. Overall not bad and glad he was able to eat some South Asian dishes. We ordered the chicken momo(dumplings), whatever chicken was on the lunch combo menu, garlic naan, and my husband ordered lamb chili. I'm not into lamb, so I was like, " oh gee! You eat half mine, and all yours!" But NOOOooo!! The lamb was BOMB I probably ate more than he did. The combo platter was fabulous, and so was the momo. The portions are really good. Definitely try it out if you never had Nepalese food before. I went to some in the Bay Area in the past and decided to try this place. The chicken momo were good and filling. The chili lamb momo lost its flavor due to the chili. I will have to go back and just order the steamed lamb momos. The family loved both the garlic and pesto naan. The chicken curry had really good flavor. The biryani was a little salty. I ordered with spice level 3. Usually I order my food spicy but I had to share with the family so I toned down the spice level. I'll get it spicier next time to see if it will still be salty. read more

This delicious spicy gem is a must try! It's been on my radar and finally tried it and it did not disappoint!! For those that don't know it's Indo-Chinese; a distinct style of Chinese cuisine adapted to Indian tastes, combining Chinese foods with Indian flavours and spices. The service is very kind and fast however if this place picks up they are going to need your patience to get you the best service. It's only been open for over a year and i hope they stay for a while. It was spacious and clean, my clothes didn't smell like curry at the end. Great service! I love the calming music, clean space and area to eat. Ample parking, lots of different items to choose from, vast vegetarian and non vegan choices. The chow mein was delicious, topped with the green onions and wonderful spice combo! The vegetable steamed momos were so good, but with the dipping sauce, even better. Asked for medium because I'm always worried about spice when I go to a new place, but could done with hot or extra hot. The goat was tender and fell off the bone so you could tell they knew what they were doing though! Garlic naan was fluffy but wasn't as garlicky as I expected. Still yummy and I can't have curry without naan but the price on the menu is per piece of naan, not for an order. Overall a great spot with flavorful food that won't break the bank. read more

Mom and I popped in for a late lunch. We were the only people there in the beginning. The restaurant was super clean. The menu was a mix of popular Indian food and popular Chinese food, but we wanted to try some things that we hadn't before. We ended up ordering the chicken jhol momo, and the lamb chili. The Momo was delicious. The bottoms were pan seared, and the filling was tasty. The jhol sauce was absolutely amazing. It was tangy with some spice, but not overwhelming. I could have eaten the sauce with a spoon, it was delicious. The lamb chili was reminiscent of Peking ribs, with more of a flavorful seasoning. The lamb chunks were cooked perfectly, crispy around the edges, but chewy and moist in the center. We also had some garlic naan, which was also fantastic. Sometimes you do things just for your mama. That said, my mom really loves Indian flavors and so I knew I would score some brownie points if I brought her to check out Everest Chilli Pepper, a new Indo-Chinese/Nepalese place in West Roseville. The restaurant is in the former location of a Mongolian BBQ, right next to the Almond Tree Lounge that once hosted the now infamous John H UYE (iykyk). Anyways, we walked in and were greeted and told to sit anywhere we liked and offered complimentary chai tea. I had mine iced because it was still in the high 90s outside. My mom is tougher than me so she had it hot. The menu does a pretty good job of separating vegetarian from meat dishes with "Veg" and "NonVeg" descriptions, but if you're vegan you'll need to clarify for sure. I had my heart set on vegan momos, but sadly I learned that the Veg momos here all contain cheese. What a bummer. Maybe management reads this and offers a fully plant-based momo option soon. We ordered samosas, Gobi Manchurian, Veggie Biryani, and Veggie Korma (they can make it vegan by leaving out the butter if you ask). The samosas were average, so I'd skip those next time, but the entrees were terrific! In particular, the veganized Veggie Korma was full of rich flavors and a real standout. The Biryani was loaded with veggies and some of the best I have ever had. We also really enjoyed the Gobi Manchurian that had a nice kick to it. I'd order all three of those again in a heartbeat. Service was good but they don't bring your check to the table, so be prepared to go to the front counter to settle up. We left full, happy, and with leftovers.
