Cameron was the absolute best bartender ever!! We came in close to close (not realizing) and he still took great care of us! This Sunday was super chill and we were the only ones sitting at the bar! I let Cameron experiment with some whiskey cocktails and they were so good! First, on the menu: the apple cider martini, second a harvest cider...both great! Food is 10/10 as always, and I'll def be coming back!

Slightly upscale Chinese food. Location was easy to find. Nice interior, does have a fancy feeling. We ordered their fried rice, lettuce wraps, honey walnut shrimp, and Mongolian beef. All had great taste. Family style dishes. Service was good. Our server was very attentive to our table.

    45 minutes waiting for desert.

The service at Fat's is comically horrible. We have been here for 2 hours for a quick lunch and are still waiting. The orders were wrong and nothing was done. There is obviously no management here.

Me and my girlfriend decided to come here for our 1 year anniversary and we were not disappointed! Upon entering, we noticed that the restaurant's ambiance was pleasant and not chaotic. The hostess seated us quickly and our servers, Dianna and Gabriel, were spectacular. We ended up getting the Genghis Khan Beef and Hong Kong Chow Mein. Both dishes were full of flavor and the portion sizes were huge. For the Genghis Khan beef, the wontons were crispy and had lots of meaty filling. The flank steak and veggies were cooked perfectly and the gravy was tasty and not too greasy. The Hong Kong Chow Mein was full of flavor and there was a good balance of proteins and veggies. The noodles maintained their crispy texture, which was a plus for us! After finishing our entrees, our servers asked us if we were celebrating anything special and after telling them it was our 1 year anniversary, they surprised us with a complimentary banana cream pie! The pie was out of this world! The bananas were fresh and not mushy, the crust was buttery, and the cream was light and not too sweet. I would 100% recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for some solid Asian food that is accompanied by wonderful service!

I should have lowered my expectations even before arriving based on the experience of others. To confirm this was not a reflection of this persons service abilities because they were pretty good but our servers hands were Disgusting. Splotchy with paint? Dye? Dirt? Handing me a drink where your hands touch the part where my mouth goes with hands of this condition completely turned us off our food. The employee also had questionable hygiene of their personal scent, hair, teeth, overall made it difficult to enjoy the experience. When it comes to the food, I was very underwhelmed by the offerings. All deep fried, pre frozen foods that I could just as easily buy at a grocery store and cook myself in a few minutes. The table, walls and doors were also quite dirty, sticky from fingers and traffic over time. I can't say I will return for the above reasons, and would definitely recommend managers discuss personal hygiene with wait staff as it does impact the overall experience.

As we walked in I noticed it was very nicely decorated with cute palm tree inside of the building. Of course we sat at the bar but what a big mistake that was. Service was terrible!! Didn't have a nice friendly greeting it's not like they were super busy. The girl has what maybe 7 other people at the bar. We got our lumpia and it actually was good. But when she brought our food out that had been sitting for a while she didn't bother to give us napkins or extra plates. I was so turned off by the service that we decided to leave. If service was a least a little better we would have stayed and ordered something else. So disappointing because I was looking forward to eating here. I will not be recommending this place. Jules at the bar. Please brush up on your customer service skills you are dealing with the public!!

Fat's is one of those "modern" Chinese restaurants just like a PF Changs where is all modern and clean , the opposite of a hole on the wall mom and pop Chinese joint. You can even partake in the full bar offerings. I'll have a cosmo with my wonton soup! Just kidding! Prices are kinda high, so I'm glad I'm on an expense account! I ordered the Singapore Noodles $23.00 described as stir-fried rice noodles with shrimp, barbecued pork, egg, and curry. I've had this dish before, but not for $23 bucks! Service was fine and the food arrived in a timely manner. I was by myself, so I just served myself off the plate. I gotta say this was a pretty good version, they got the curry balance right and not too much. It had a nice wok seared flavor you don't ever get at PF Chang's. I'm happy I ordered this dish,. but I'm more happy I'm not the one paying! Tax and Tip ... $30 bucks for a plate of needles!

Singapore noodles- not much protein for about $20. Plus the noodles were dry.

Updated Review for Fats - Shoutout to Esther! We've always enjoyed our evenings at Fats, but this visit took things to another level--thanks to Esther! This was our first time sitting in front of a station where we could watch the magic happen, and she was truly an artist in action. Esther was working the hot appetizer station, and her speed and precision were nothing short of impressive. She moved at an incredible pace, yet every dish came out flawlessly--gorgeous, consistent, and absolutely delicious. There were no mistakes, no near misses--just pure skill and professionalism. The wontons, egg rolls, steamed dumplings, and coconut shrimp were some of the best we've ever had. Beyond her talent, Esther was also engaging, happy, and clearly took pride in her work. It's rare to see someone handle such a demanding station with both efficiency and enthusiasm, and she made the experience even more enjoyable. To management: Esther is a standout. Her skill, speed, and attention to detail make a huge impact on the guest experience, and she deserves recognition. To anyone considering a visit--if you get the chance, sit near the appetizer station and watch her work. You won't just get an amazing meal; you'll get a front-row seat to someone who truly elevates Fats. I wasn't planning to update my review, but Esther made such an impression that I couldn't just check in--I had to share. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Went to dinner Saturday night and got a few drinks. My Moscow mule was extremely full of ginger. We got the calamari and only one piece tasted like octopus. We also got honey walnut chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken fried rice. The food was really good. We then got a piece of NY cheesecake with raspberry drizzles and some coffee. The cake was delicious. The coffee was rough but overall it was a good experience. The service was great and we were the last ones in the restaurant. I'm sure we'll be back.

Came here for lunch the Friday to celebrate the Holidays; already busy right at opening (11:30 am). Temp felt like a perfect 72 degrees after coming in from the cold (52 outside). Warm and intimate lighting, but only a few unlit garlands and ornaments sprinkled throughout the restaurant (not a real Christmas feeling). All tables had customers doing gift exchanges and joyously having a great time. Definitely a place for meetings, gatherings and intimate dining. For our meal, we ordered the honey walnut chicken, which seemed small in portion compared to our other visits here. The wor wonton was hot and plentiful, and the crispy house chow mein was good, but a bit skimpy on the protein. Everything was tasty though; remember to order a side of the sauces (sweet chili, Chinese hot mustard, hot chili sauce). The latter 2 Will definitely add a kick to your dish and clear your nostrils! The finishing touch was a slice of their infamous banana cream pie...oh so good! Happy Holidays to all!

A great spot to visit for a birthday or gathering! Ambience was so beautiful and the waitress was very welcoming and friendly. It was clean and spacious. I'd highly de recommend the green beans and honey walnut shrimp.

For a more upscale and relaxed environment! Great spot! Fireplace for those that enjoy that ambiance which we do. The food can be ordered family style and is very tasty. It feels like an escape when we eat here. Thats the same feeling we get when we go to one of the local casinos, mainly Thunder Valley! Feels like an escape from the norm. Service has always been to my satisfaction. Bar area is minimal occupancy but enjoyable if you can get a seat.

Other 3 star reviews were spot on IMO - the food is mediocre at best and waaay overpriced. It's more like an Asian Fusion, similar to PF Chang's, thats been quite Americanized and lost the food's authentic originality. Taste buds were not dancing, safe to say. Then what exactly are you paying for? Why priced so high? You're paying for prime time location and environment. Not prime time food. This place is very classy, gorgeous internal designs, spacious seating, plenty of parking in its shared Plaza with business offices, fantastic customer service, ambiance is perfect for social or professional gatherings and dates (family friendly, sure, but definitely not bringing our restless toddlers if there's ever a next time), and modest attire (not a shorts and flip flops kind of spot). Highlighted items on their menu are their signature go to's, so we tried 2 of these - Bulgogi pork lo mein (mild spicy) and vegetable fried rice with shrimp. Mediocre, nothing special, and mostly on the bland side. Tried their Canton fish and lumpia - again, mediocre. I've had much better (and much cheaper) versions of both at hole in the wall fast food spots and at home! Both my wife and I were fine with the food, but nothing that stood out as a "Mmmm yummy!" kind of feeling. Don't get me wrong, this place is VERY nice for some Asian grub! Give it a shot and don't let the 3 star reviews deter you from trying it out. May even prefer the flavors more on the subtle side and you'll also enjoy their gorgeous layout. (Felt like I was at the Tiki Bar in Disneyland.) Just not our cup of tea and honestly we prefer to stay away from "fusion" restaurants precisely for the above reasons. Likely won't be back, but you never know!

We ordered the cheesesteak rolls to start, and I had to try the popular Bubble Bliss drink. When the drink arrived, the waitress made the experience even more exciting by infusing the bubble right on top of it. Shortly after, our appetizer arrived. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the rolls were, as we weren't quite sure what to expect from a cheesesteak roll. When our entrées arrived, every single one of us enjoyed what we ordered, so we decided to share with one another. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. At the end of our meal, I was offered a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a thoughtful touch and a great way to end the evening. Overall, this restaurant is absolutely fantastic. From the beautiful decor that's perfect for taking selfies, to the delicious food and drinks, and down to the excellent service, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We had the fried calamari appetizer and it was delicious, not greasy at all and had fried green beans and onions mixed in. Wife loved her grilled salmon entree. We both enjoyed our cocktails as well. Service was fairly good overall, although it took a long time before our server came to take our order and service was just all around slow. Very friendly though. Cons: My entree was not good. Ordered the pappardelle with short rib ragu. This was NOT a ragu as it is commonly known, it was more of a cream sauce with some meat in it. The pasta was swimming in cream. And I hate cream sauce. I never would have ordered it had the menu description said it was a cream sauce. The server offered to make me another entree but I did not want to wait another 30 minutes so I choked down what I had. Value is not good. The burger is $20, for example. Prices are a bit too high for the experience you are getting. Verdict: We may be back, as 2/3 of the food was quite good, they just failed on my pasta dish. But it's pricey, so who knows. Moderate recommendation.

Q1227 easily became one of my favorite dining experiences in Sacramento…read more We started with the lobster bites and broccolini. The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.

And I hate to even mention this, but it was definitely a thing for us... the musician, whom I LOVED for his talent and music... was just too loud for us. Not sure what to suggest on that. We enjoyed the music, but we couldn't hear anything else. We couldn't hear each other... we couldn't hear the waiter more often than not... the horn (clarinet) just blasted us out. We weren't RIGHT next to him, we were a couple tables away... but the same side of the room as him. In the future, I'll try to be seated further away if I'm with a group that wants to talk. I ordered a medium and got a medium. Not a pickle fan but loved the in-house butter pickles. The fries were exceptionally seasoned. I requested for mayonnaise and made a pink condiment with the ketchup. The California Cabernet Sauvignon that came with the Burger & Caymus pairing was a blend that I'm probably buying from our local warehouse store. It's not as expensive as it's snobbish Napa Cabernet cousin, but tastes as full bodied with soft tannins. Review's looking lengthy, so I'd just say that the wagyu dog and the crab bites weren't slackers either. Add-on note. All this plus tip is a comprehensible $90+. Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.

I was excited to finally try this place with my husband. We came in for an early dinner during the…read moreweek and it wasn't busy at all. We had a very friendly waiter. I didn't want to write this review but I had a concern about something about the menu. I ordered the tequenos de pollo as an appetizer and the menu didn't say anything about it having cheese in which was perfect. I got the order and it in fact had cheese. I'm lactose intolerant and really sensitive to dairy so I asked about the cheese being in it. He confirmed it was in there, so I asked if they can just take it back- the waiter said no. I then asked if they can just take it off the bill because I couldn't eat it. He said no to that too. My husband doesn't eat meat and my son is lactose intolerant so it was going to be food wasted and money down the drain. I was pretty shocked because I've never been to a restaurant where they can't reasonable accommodate the guest. I then ordered my entree and the chicken was very dry and overcooked. I was not satisfied but I knew they wouldn't let me swap it for something else. Unfortunately I'm not going to rush to come back. The waiter was friendly enough but not accommodating. I get nervous when it comes to food allergies because now I know that some restaurants aren't disclosing food allergens which is actually not allowed. There are folks out here with life threatening allergies, so these places need to be careful. I'm glad I'm not one of those people but it's still disappointing.

Staff did not smile which left a cold unwanted feeling upon entering. Feedback Summary: Service & Process Optimization Overall Impression The Good: The food quality is excellent and stands out as a major highlight. The Opportunity: The current staffing model, pacing, and table management are falling short of expectations, leaving guests feeling overlooked and detracting from the overall dining experience. Key Areas for Improvement Table Attentiveness & Flow of Service Observation: The service lacked a natural cadence or proactive checkpoints. There were no routine visits to check on the dining experience, refresh drinks, or see if the table needed anything, which ultimately made the table feel neglected. Recommendation: Implement structured touchpoints throughout the meal (e.g., a check-in after the first few cuts of meat are served) to ensure guests feel looked after. Section Staffing Limitations Observation: Assigning only one server per section created noticeable delays. When that primary server was occupied, neighboring tables were left waiting without any cross-coverage from other staff. Recommendation: Consider a team-service model or assigning dedicated assistants to support section leads during peak hours so tables are never marooned. Rodizio / Meat Service Pacing Observation: The rotation of staff carrying meats through the entire dining area was too slow, leading to long gaps between servings. Recommendation: Optimize the floor routing. Dividing the dining room into smaller, dedicated zones for the meat carvers could ensure hotter food and more frequent tableside visits.
