I also don't mind supporting such a great venue and organization. We've seen a few performances at a couple of their theatres. My favorite is likely the most intimate space, The Black Box Theatre. The other larger space is well laid out, just bigger. I love the creativity and variety of their offerings. We've seen so many great shows. Def will return. And, the last time we were there, we learned about their spring plant sale that took place in their parking lot. Who knew? We went and really appreciated the local community collaboration. Check them out. It'll be a great experience.

Another favorite here of mine was Misery. The acting was superb. The theater itself is very clean and well laid out with some gallery rooms. You can buy drinks and being them into the theater, but they don't sell snacks. They only have two bathrooms so the line at intermission is a little long, but it's bearable since it's a small theater. If you haven't been, I highly recommend checking it out. Very talented performers, pretty art space, and wonderful productions. Also gotta check out the decked out truck in the parking lot, it's a piece of art.

There are just 5 rows and the venue holds under 100 seats. Lighting was good and hearing the 6 performers was good too. The sister Claire ( a alcoholic) was my favorite character. She was most colorful, interesting and entertaining. The play was ' A Delicate Balance' and 3 hours is too long for me. There was an art exhibit in the lobby and easy parking.

I may have never found it if it weren't for a friend's post that she was going to be in a show, there. The show was stellar! The caliber of acting was on par with anything I have seen at DCPA. The production value was exceptional. And, the ticket price was under $30 for front row! The show was so good that I bought season tickets for 2022-2023. The seating is tiered, so you don't have to worry about someone tall sitting in front of you. There is a large main floor area and balcony seating. They have drinks and snacks available for purchase before the show and during intermission. The drinks were moderately priced, way cheaper than DCPA. And, there is plenty of free parking in the lot.

They're so new, in fact, they don't actually have a traditional theater space. They partner with the Shaver-Ramsey rug gallery in Cherry Creek and hold their performances in the large room off to the side of the main showroom. The acoustics are wonderful, and the space works really well. The performance we saw was in-the-round, so there wasn't a bad seat in the place. They don't focus on one specific type of theater - you'll find dramas, comedies, even musicals. I suspect that anything you see will be quite good as they get some of the best acting talent in Denver, and do a solid job with their script selection. The CCT also offers refreshments before the show and during intermission, including wine, most of which seemed to just have a suggested "donation" amount. You are allowed to bring drinks into the theater - yay! They find places around the area (Whole Foods, for example) and bring in pretty decent bites. So, there you go - yet another theater in Denver you perhaps never knew was there. Check it out!

There's a lot of cement and dark paint and cinderblocks. There are no creature comforts except for a pot of coffee and a drinking fountain. So keep that in mind if you like a glass of wine before the theater. As always - the productions are usually classic and exceptional. So if you are a true theater aficionado, this is exactly what you're looking for! It is theater set in the rawest conditions, and there is something very artsy about that!

Also, I found the seating at Germinal to be much more comfortable than at a lot of other similar venues. So, what should you expect? Well, when they say they're a minimalist theater, they're not kidding! The sets leave quite a bit to your imagination, but (from what I've seen) the acting more than makes up for it. Insider tip: Check their website for specials, as they do run 2-1 tickets, meaning you could see a show for under $12. There is a small lot behind the theater, but just plan on street parking. Also, if you have a choice, bring your clunker. The neighborhood is a little iffy. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Germinal, and I'm looking forward to going back.

Logistically, it struggled a lot in my opinion. It is set in a room, which is to small for the structure of the production. About 30 minutes in, the guests are told to go to other "suspects' and gather information. In such a small room, this is difficult not only to move, but hear over the noise. About 45 minutes later, the actors go to each suspect and have them read additional clues, this is much better as everyone gets to hear and you are not trying to move around. Then 20-30 minutes later, you are asked to mingle and gather the clues. Them the end by the actors interviewing the suspects again. They should just use the actors to interview the suspects so everyone can hear and gather clues.

We were super excited about the show. We've always watched him on tv. Now let me say I was a lil disappointed in the snack choices; so popcorn was the choice. I live Reese pieces , water and pineapple juice. I don't drink so the alcohol was where it was. The staff was very attentive and trying to fill every order. There were so many people and they were doing their thing. The lines were long but moving quickly. I haven't been in the theater since 2008. So I did not like the seats an how close they were. I felt cramped and crowded.. The restroom was clean and the theater itself was neatly decorated and clean too. The first comedian that opened up was amazingly talented and great!!! He was funny and a principal.. I really enjoyed his and could see him again. He had the crowd cheering and laughing uncontrollably.. support this brother whenever you see him. He's worth the time. The dJ was fire he had the crowd amped up. He was dropping hit after hit getting us prepared for the show. When Ali came to the stage they erupted into applause and cheers. His mannerisms and demeanor were just characteristic and down to earth. He was funny and my side was hurting from all the laughing. We paid for the meet and greet and the line was long but worth the wait. He was so cool in person and love his fans. I would love to come and see him again.
