I can't say enough good things about The Cut Barbershop. They are professional, welcoming, patient, and truly caring...good peeps. I bring my autistic young adult sons here, and anyone who has a loved one with autism knows that haircuts are not always easy. Sensory issues, communication differences, and sitting through a haircut can be a lot, but the staff here handles it with so much kindness and respect. Today, Maggie took care of Omar, and she was amazing. She was patient, gentle, and made him feel comfortable in the chair. That means more to me than I can even explain. Jay always takes care of Georgie, and he is consistently kind, professional, and great with him. This barbershop is more than just a place to get a haircut. They treat people with dignity, they care about families, and they create an environment where my sons feel safe and respected. But the main reason I comeback is because of PETER. He is really talented and humble with his work. He works with you in various ways. You can tell him what you want or ask for suggestions to improve your cut. He pays attention to the details and most importantly, takes him time. The short lady cut my hair and what I get is the simplest thing ever!!! all I asked for was a LOW fade and it ended up being a high fade. She knows I go to a different barbershop and she told me while cutting my hair to not come back if I know that they don't know how to cut. Attitude the entire time. Adding appointments screws over many walk-ins now. So if you are a walk-in and come at 9 and want to get to your favorite barber but he already has someone , but someone has an appointment at 10 and 10:30 you might be screwed for awhile waiting for the other walk ins who's in front of you too. This is ridiculous. I'll give you a suggestion: Make it an appointment ONLY rule or make it walk-ins only. You are looking at 3-4 hour wait. NO THANKS!!! I've been there, what, four times. Granted that I like to try a number of barbers before deciding that either I am staying or I am looking for a new place, I have to say this: my experiences being there has been unpleasant ones. The first time I went, I waited a little more than an hour and a half. I noticed the stylists take their time cutting each customer's hair, they take anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour and a half per customer. To put it into perspective, let me say it like it is, one time I was there at 4:00PM and did not leave until 7:00PM (well past closing time). All four times, the haircut was of good quality. But the experience being there is what killed it for me. The first time, the long wait times are always a drag. The second time I visited, it was fairly crowded, and I experienced something I've never experienced before. I had been waiting there for 30 minutes when this one guy simply walks up, sits next to me, and when the next barber frees us, this old lady says to me, "he was here before you..." and I think to myself, "no, he was not, I have been waiting here far longer than he has." The lady went on to say he had "left" for a little while to come back later. The third time I was there, I noticed that after every cut, the barbers were all taking breaks instead of calling me up to take a seat so they could cut my hair -- I don't care who cuts my hair, as long as someone does -- as if avoiding me! They were literally avoiding cutting my hair. This fourth time, and last time I will visit this place: it was 3:15pm, on a Sunday, and I was told that the place was already closed. Officially, the place closes at 3:30PM. I understand people run the place and they may want to go home and be with their families, but a business is a business (you post the times, and I, as a paying customer, 100% expect you to abide by those times), and I cannot attend a place that does not honor their business times. It felt like they turned me away for personal reasons (don't even get me started, I could, but I won't). Verdict: this is not my kind of place, I am not going back because I did not like my experiences. They have good barbers. The experiences I have lived there are absolutely unpleasant, and down right offending. Listen to the other bad reviews, they're not joking around when they say that barbers prioritize their "buddies" over waiting customers. Some of the "good" reviews are from the people who work there themselves, and that cut their kids' hair themselves, too, all while posting pictures of those kids and acting as if they are customers. read more

Honestly I was headed to a different barber shop and spotted this out of the corner of my eye. Figured since it was my first time in the city didn't matter which shop I went to, it'd still be risking it. I have a tough time finding a barber who can deal with my cuts since my hair is hard to work with when it comes to bald fades, especially straight razor ones. But somehow as soon as I sat down the environment of the shop said I'd get a good cut here so I left it up to Zeke to handle the cut and with that liberty he gave me one of the best cuts of my life and I personally enjoyed conversing with him as well.
