Finally got into the famous Dutch Mill. Came in around 1pm for a to go order on a Saturday. The place was hopping. I heard the hostess say there was a 15-20 minute wait. The place was abuzz but not too noisy. The issue with a to go order, you are in 'competition' with phone ins and paying sit down customers. A to go order came out and just sat there for 2-3 minutes before I could finally ask the girl if it was mine. It was not. All told, my order took about 30 minutes. The good news, the guy that brought it out from the kitchen gave it to me directly. The cheeseburger was above average. Hot dog was alright but nothing special. The fries were very good. I will be back!

Sorry, we ate most of them before I could snap a pic. I crave these onion rings!

Decent for the cost. Burgers are most likely frozen. Good for the cost but strikingly average honestly. Better than McDonald's? Maybe.

After swapping presents we went down to the restaurant for dinner. It was pretty packed and we were concerned we wouldn't get a table, but the staff allowed us to move chairs around to make room for the 11 of us. Everything about our experience was great. Toya and Brandon were our servers and both of them are excellent at their jobs. They were friendly, engaging, fast and efficient. Somehow with a packed dining room and only a few servers on the floor they were able to keep us all happy and well served throughout the meal. Toya even went the extra mile and had the kitchen send out my daughter's and young nieces' meals first so they wouldn't have to wait or become impatient. The kitchen worked smoothly with us to provide delicious meals for a few members of our family who have gluten and dairy intolerance. All of the food was well prepared and tasty. My sister tried a margarita and said Toya mixed it to perfection. I also wanted to note how clean the dining room (and all of the hotel) is. This is my second stay at the Cambria and it won't be my last. This kind of overall excellence in service and quality deserves repeat business. My sister lives fairly close to Rock Hill and said she'll be back as well to dine at the restaurant. Thanks again for a wonderful experience at the Cambria Hotel/Loom Restaurant! Can't wait to visit again.

The entire place looked entirely different than how I remembered it (as Legal Remedies). Still very casual, but definitely more of an Irish pub vibe. I liked the Irish sports flags hanging from the ceilings...definitely added something fun to the ambiance. The menu has changed quite a bit too. I was bummed that they no longer had the Schnitzel, but they did have a tasty variety of items to choose from. My husband tried the Chicken Pot Pie, which looked good...and I had their Philly Cheesesteak. Well, I was surprised just how good my Cheesesteak was....beyond good, in fact. It was DEE-Lish!! I also enjoyed the drink, Monte Carlo. Small in size, but very, very strong! Service was good too. Despite how bustling it was, our cute waitress with green hair did a fine job. I actually didn't think I'd like the place at all...but their festive Irish vibe and the Philly Cheesesteak changed my mind!

I am usually surprised at how easy it is to get a seat. It's a big space which helps but the food is so good. I always anticipate having to wait. Unless there is a sporting event next-door, I can usually find a place at the bar or get a table. If you sit at the bar, hope Mariah is there. She makes a good cocktail and she's incredibly sweet. Food is consistent and very good. Their smoked wings must be the best in town get the lemon pepper rub in the house made blue cheese dip. You won't regret it. We were a little confused as to how to enter the restaurant, but I chalk that up to being tired. The space is wide open and airy, with large windows and skylights. The restaurant was nice and clean, save for something that was splashed on the wall in our booth - but it's a restaurant. There's going to be little picky things here and there and I'm sure it was wiped down by the end of the day! Our hostess was also our server and she was so knowledgeable about the menu. I took her suggestions at every turn and did not regret it. We started off with the Bang Bang Brussels Sprouts app and let me tell you - I could've eaten that as my entire meal. They are SO delicious and I'll be dreaming of them until I can return to Rock Hill. Holy cow, they were good - crispy on the outside, loaded with flavor and just enough spice to give the sweetness a little bite. So good. My husband had the country fried steak and he said it was very good. Not the best he's ever had, he said, but good enough. He wished there'd been more steak and less crust, but the flavor was right on. They were out of the salt and pepper flounder, so I changed my order to the ranch chicken. Ummmm....excuse me. Who says not to order chicken breasts at restaurants? The portion size is SO generous and the chicken is SO DELICIOUS that I, the girl who rarely bothers to take leftovers, boxed up what was left and brought it back to my hotel and ate it as a midnight snack. The grilled zucchini served on the side of it was delicious. If I ever get back, I'll ask if I can skip the potatoes in favor of more of that zucchini! We didn't really have room for dessert, but when we heard about the warm banana pudding, we were curious. DO NOT SKIP THIS DESSERT. If you're a banana pudding fan, this will blow your mind. Absolutely incredible! It's both warm and cool at the same time, caramelized bananas and a torched meringue topping were bowl-licking delicious. All in all, this was a fantastic experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

On a visit to Kounter in December, I was told by a waiter it's not uncommon to see some of the Friendship 9 eating at the restaurant. Drop by to ogle the menu and take in the historical display. Very interesting and a good insight as to where black people were back then.
