Okay, so I don't know a lot about darts, but I do know that on a hot day, a Ritchie's Slush can really make things a lot better, so that's what initially brought me into the unique store that is D.A.M Dart Depot. The shop is small and simple but the owner was super friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. He introduced himself to me, but I've already forgotten his name, of course. He shaved my slush instead of scooping it, so it was creamy and thick, more like and ice cream than Italian ice. Delicious. As he shaved, I perused the darts and boards. They have all kinds of darts; steel tip, soft tip, shafts in a variety of metals (including tungsten), and of course, pretty and colorful flights! You can even test the darts on one of the dart boards hanging on the wall. The website is very informative for dart fans and uneducated folks like me. Although I'm not looking for a set of darts myself, I have a friend who likes pretty much anything fancy or customized so on the next gift-giving occasion, I know exactly where I'm going for his gift. I had a great experience here selecting new darts with Dawn. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. She spent about an hour with me, first assessing my form and current darts, then having me try out several different options that she picked out with the first ones being a huge improvement for me and not the most expensive option either. I tried a couple others as well that I selected myself but she knew my equipment needs better than I did at that point and I left with a set of one of the darts she recommended. It's really nice to have someone knowledgeable about the game and the equipment with the patience to spend some time with you... you could spend hundreds of dollars to find the right darts through amazon or a bigger sporting store w/o a resident expert. You may pay a bit more here than you would online on a per item basis, but in the end I think it is worth it to support having a local business with experts where you can take a test drive. read more

Yesterday I met Dawn at the shop. She was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. She took the time to let me try many different things for the darts I already had. She would not sell me anything I did not need! I would recommend this shop for any of your dart needs whether your brand new to darts or a veteran looking for supplies. I'm sure the stuff they sell is fine. And I'm sure the people are nice. But, Ill never try to go back. Ever. Website and answering machine says they are open til 830. I drove 35 minutes to get there and they were closed with lights off at 745pm. I'll be going to woodway every time from now on as I was before. Came in here having a good idea of the darts I wanted. They were not in stock, but Dawn drove up to Lynn to pick them up for me. When she came back, she spent 45 minutes working with me to pick the right darts. Aside from all of the tips, she ended up recommending me a cheaper set than the one I was looking for. Seriously??? We were looking for a decent board and backboard, so based on these reviews we made our way to the Dam Dart Depot in Revere. Upon arrival, we were instructed by a hand written sign to ring a door bell. We rung the bell, and a man in the apartment upstairs yelled down that he'd be down soon. After waiting a while he finally came down. All this guy wanted to sell us was an overpriced Alien board, which we did not want (we prefer something a bit easier on the budget), and he fed us a bunch of BS the entire time we were in there about how he "only sells the best" and that this was store was voted the best dart store in the world. Believe me, this is NOT the best dart store in the world. If it's the best that MA has to offer, then that is pretty pathetic. Basically, I was insulted by his "used car salesman" tactics and his condescending attitude. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are just in dire need of some flights or something. read more

I have not played darts in over 20 yrs and just started playing again. Was tired of using house darts that certainly wasn't going to help my skills. I was so very pleased that I went to D.A.M. Darts to get my very first set. When we walked into D.A.M Dawn was ready, willing. And very able to assist me in getting the best feel for my first set of darts. She was friendly and very knowledgable and I couldn't have had a better experience. She was and is the BEST of the BEST giving pointters on what to do to get your game on. The very first game I played with the darts she recommended for me I was amazed how well I played and ok I lost the game but only by 1 bullseye.
