Initially, this felt like a triumph. Then the drama began. While we were waiting to order, a spectacular shouting match erupted between a customer and a food runner. The argument spread quickly, drawing in a server and the hostess. The customer appeared to be the primary author of the hostility. Nevertheless, watching uniformed staff members engage in a loud, public shouting match is an uncomfortable way to begin a morning. It is disconcerting to sit at a table wondering if you have accidentally wandered into the climax of a workplace dispute. Order was eventually restored and the food arrived. In my home state of New Jersey, pork roll is treated with near-religious reverence. I ordered the Pork Roll, Egg, and Cheese, which cost eighteen dollars. What arrived was a small, sad slab of meat and egg resting on a roll of questionable freshness, accompanied by a modest pile of uninspired breakfast potatoes. A neighborhood bagel shop five minutes away routinely prepares a far superior version of this exact sandwich for less than half the price. My nine companions were similarly uninspired by their plates. People understand that casino establishments charge extra for proximity and convenience. However, paying a high premium for mediocre food served alongside screaming matches feels like a poor trade agreement. We were seated quickly, which was nice. Inside Harrah's casino. They have a spacious dining room and a bar area with a few high tops. The bar is first come first serve. We sat there. Peachy was our server. She was trying to do eleventy million things. Very friendly and attentive (even when nobody refilled or made coffee or did prep work to help her). The menu had breakfast and light lunch choices, such as BLTs. We ordered a side of scrapple extra crisp (it wasn't - still think and mushy), and a BLT that was great. Highly recommend that. Came July 5th at around 10am and there was 5-8 tables available with no line. Seated straight away and the waitress was super friendly and was very attentive through our experience. The restaurant is located outside the pool club area so it can be loud depending on the crowd that's there. Started w/ coffee & water alongside giving our orders. Getting seated was frustrating and slow but the overall experience was solid. This and Starbucks were the only two places open for breakfast at Harrah's so not many choices. The interior is very dark. This is clearly a dinner spot that doesn't serve dinner anymore, only breakfast and lunch. Saw multiple using their phone flashlights to read the menu. It took a while for stuff to come out but they're huge and crowded. Waitstaff was fantastic. In the best way possible, the breakfast potatoes remind me of Taco Bell but better. More like 3.5 stars but I'll round up to 4 just because we've been lucky with terrific service. When we stay at Harrah's it's the spot we hit up for breakfast. Plenty of seating with nice comfy booths. Can't go wrong with the eggs benedict, blueberry pancakes, or build your own omelet. Our coffees and waters are filled consistently. The servers are friendly and we usually have good fun conversations with them. We've also done dinner here which is also good. Not a cheap place but it is in a casino. Expected. The woodsy modern decor is pretty cool too, especially the ceiling areas. Check out the bar area later in the day for happy hour specials and people watching across the way at the pool. read more

Ate breakfast here Saturday morning. We waited 20 minutes to be seated because according to the Hostess "don't have anyone to clear the tables". While the line got longer the Hostess continued to chat with her coworker rather than trying to resolve the problem. When we finally got seated our server Yahay was very attentive and apologized for the delay. Never a word from the Hostess. Though the service can be slow, we've typically had very nice servers when dining in. We come usually come for lunch - my husband loves the pancakes, and occasionally gets the omelettes, while I enjoy the open faced Reuben sandwich (and the bone marrow when they had it). This is super yummy! The bread is buttery and toasted, the sandwich is nice and hot, and everything just mixes very well. It's even good to take to-go and heat up in a toaster oven. I've also tried their lobster dinner special with 3 courses - salad, main, and a dessert which was pretty good and we've also had the BBQ chicken dinner with mac and cheese and corn. Overall not bad and a decent selection. I have never had anything from the bar, but when I order for take-away the bartenders were always nice. So I can here with my son. We had to wait just to be acknowledge by a server. Then we had to wait for drinks. We then had to 40 MINUTES for our food. I asked to speak to a manager and she looked in my direction, muttered a cuss word under her breath and then proceeded NOT to acknowledge us. She came when the food came out and did say it was a 40 min wait, from the time the ticket was put in to the time we got our food, but didn't apologize. They are really on the only place to have a decent sit down breakfast in Harrah's. While we were sat pretty much right away, we had waited for awhile for our drink order which was really just coffee. They were not super busy so I'm not really sure why the food/service was taking so long. I ordered the pork-roll egg and cheese. It came with roasted red potatoes. I really enjoyed my meal. There was the perfect amount of pork-roll and not a ton of scrambled eggs. The potatoes were nice and soft and seasoned well. I had asked for hot sauce and had to ask another server to get some for me because our server disappeared. Some of the other dishes ordered at the table were country fried chicken benedict, an omelette and SOS. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the SOS was made with cheese. Not what you would expect to see but it was not bad, but it does make the dish cheesy. We were practically done our meal when she offered to fill up our coffee, I'm hoping she was just having a bad day. OK, when you're stuck in the hotel for a convention you eat the hotel's food. I've had some pretty bad hotel food in a lot of places, but this was surprisingly good! I had eaten here two years ago (same convention) and enjoyed it much more this time. My husband and I had breakfast here and we were very impressed. I had the eggs benedict, he had the salmon benedict, and we both enjoyed it. He wanted yogurt as a started and when it arrived it was in a huge bowl! We wound up sharing it and leaving some because there was so much. It was a mountain of delicious Greek yogurt with granola on it. Coffee was great, service was excellent.
