A real hidden gem in Erie. 24 Carrot Bistro is a farm to table restaurant in Erie Colorado making fantastic dishes from local seasonal ingredients. I've been wanting to check this spot out after visiting the equally fantastic Birdhouse close by. We came for brunch on a Sunday, and while they are busy, seating is readily available. First, I have to say that the drinks are fantastic. I got the 24 Carrot Magic, a tequila based drink made with carrot juice. It is perfectly balance and dang smooth. A really perfect drink for brunch. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp and Grits and my wife got the special of the day, chicken and biscuit. The portion size is perfect for both dishes. For the Grilled Shrimp and Grits, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy and the grits were buttery without being too rich and oily, which perfectly complimented the shrimp. The andouille sausage adds a perfect salty bite to the dish, and the fresh greens and crispy noodle rounds out the dish. As for the chicken and biscuit, the dish came out hot and juice. The biscuit is glazed with a jalapeño honey which compliments the dish perfectly. The biscuit has a nice crisp to it but still fluffy and buttery inside, and I think it's one of the better biscuit in the Denver metro area. The chicken is juicy and perfectly seasoned. Overall, 24 Carrot Bistro is a fantastic restaurant. The brunch menu has many attractive options, and I definitely will be back to try dinner. Additionally, as a farm to table restaurant, their menu changes seasonally and by their dishes on Instagram, this is definitely a restaurant I could see myself returning to check out new seasonal menu items.

If you have a thing to celebrate, or just want a delicious meal in a super cozy environment, definitely check out 24 Carrot Bistro!! The staff is super friendly, the owner is the absolute sweetest human, the drinks are unique and yummy, the menu is so diverse and I'm still drooling over the meal I had last night.

Ambiance is wonderful. We were at the farmers market walking along around 5PM on a Friday afternoon. We tried to get seats at 6PM so we can continue to walk around and was told that they can't guarantee seats for three people, so we opted to just grab our table. We sat down, got our drinks, food came out quick, the calamari and sauce was good, The mussels was definitely not fresh, it had an after taste. We've had better ones. It was not bad to the point of us getting sick, but they were definitely not fresh. Now the carrots were AMAZING! if you eat carrots and would like to have a variety, this place prepares them well and I strongly advise that you try it. It appears to have been blanched or boiled and then grilled with their raspberry compote and honey with the right amount of acidity and red pinions. It was just bursting with flavors Will this be a go to place for next time, maybe... it's a good place to try. Three stars for me..

My wife and I went here for a spontaneous date night in Downtown Erie. The restaurant has really good ambiance with the farm and rustic vibe. Food was delicious, staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Pricing also pretty reasonable for the farm to table. Calamari had the right amount of breading and was not over cooked. Super tender, flavorful and fresh. Only thing is that it was kinda salty. The barramundi is also super fresh. Meat was tender and buttery. Skin is crisp and added the perfect texture to the fish. Highly recommend it. Roasted duck was tender and juicy as well. The golden beets, sweet mash potatoes and pistachios along with blueberries that came with the dish added so much depth and flavors. Everything complemented each other very nicely. Absolutely loved this dish. Lastly the mini bites was the perfect amount to end the meal with something sweet. Absolute perfect date spot! I'd give it a 4.5 stars, only because the calamari was a bit salty for my taste. But everything else was delicious. Honestly the best part of the meal was the golden beets that they roast. It complements the duck very nicely.

In fact, we didn't eat anything that wasn't well seasoned, cooked to order and authentically British. Not an easy find, if you ask me. We sat at their bar, chatted with the bartender - who was really friendly and checked on us often. The place was packed, but we got in quickly and you'd never know they were popping. Their cocktails were amazing and after some chit chat about what I liked and didn't, the suggestions were fabulous. Loved the British decor as well. Such a fun place. It was a lovely evening and we hated to leave, but we'll def be back!

The location is kind of in the middle of nowhere but that's not a bad thing. Lots of parking and outdoor space to wait for a table or pull up a chair. The service is a little stiff and slow but what can you expect from a pub style restaurant. It can get pretty busy inside especially around holidays so definitely make a reservation if you plan on having a big party or don't want to sit at the bar. As far as English/Irish food goes this the only serious contender in the area, i haven't found another UK restaurant that quite mimics the pub atmosphere as well as this one. Check it out for some stick to your ribs goodness!

Now these top-end cuts have a price tag that I'm guessing most of us have to save up for, but they have some "regular" cuts that will bring the yum at a more affordable price. The seasonal menu highlights the freshest CO produce too, so don't forget to add some greens to the plate. Service is relaxed and friendly, unlike some of those "fancy steakhouses."

The drinks were definitely expensive, but we were happy to pay for a quality experience at an upscale restaurant. We ordered multiple appetizers, had several drinks, sat at the bar for quite a while, and honestly about to leave thinking this was a place we would probably come back to. That changed the second the bill arrived. Buried into the check was a 7% "kitchen surcharge." In other words, the restaurant decided to pass along kitchen payroll costs directly onto the customer without being upfront about it. If you're not paying close attention, you could easily end up tipping on top of that surcharge as well, essentially paying an extra hidden fee without realizing it. At a restaurant positioning itself as upscale and classy, this came across as incredibly tacky and cheap. Pay your staff properly and price your menu accordingly instead of sneaking surprise fees onto the bill at the very end. That's not hospitality. That's the kind of nickel and diming people expect from budget airlines, not a supposedly high end dining experience. It completely ruined what had otherwise been a nice night. We were seriously considering coming back before this happened. Now we won't return.
