In short order, with extra accommodation to the non-body work that had to be done, by collaborating with the engine people. And it all got done in one fell swoop without too much of my intervention. So while it's old in years, it's much younger if you base its "age" on odometer miles. And it's still a comfortable car with features you can't find today and it's paid off. So when I realized that it had growing rust under the doors, between the front and rear tires, on both sides, I was hopeful for rust repair and not replacement. After a few phone calls to other places, I was guided to Hampton Auto Body West, where I met Charlie. Charle quickly understood my goal - keep this car running as long as possible with minimal investment beyond normal maintenance items. Charlie's provided an estimate to repair the rust and we agreed for him and his team to perform the work and I'm glad we did... the metal under both doors is new, clean, rust-free, and looks great... so good that I'm tempted for them to paint the rest of their car, too... but that goes against that goal of minimal investment in the car.
