After a few phone calls to other places, I was guided to Hampton Auto Body West, where I met Charlie. Charle quickly understood my goal - keep this car running as long as possible with minimal investment beyond normal maintenance items. Charlie's provided an estimate to repair the rust and we agreed for him and his team to perform the work and I'm glad we did... the metal under both doors is new, clean, rust-free, and looks great... so good that I'm tempted for them to paint the rest of their car, too... but that goes against that goal of minimal investment in the car.
