I especially want to recognize Alexa, who became my requested orthodontic technician throughout my treatment. I specifically asked to schedule my appointments with her because she consistently went above and beyond. I had an issue with my braces occasionally coming loose from the brackets, and unlike anyone else, Alexa took the extra time to carefully evaluate the problem, make the necessary adjustments, and ensure everything was secure before I left the office. Her attention to detail, patience, and commitment to doing the job right made an enormous difference in my treatment. Alexa never made me feel rushed. She listened to my concerns, explained what she was doing, and always made sure I was comfortable. That level of dedication is rare and deserves to be recognized. I was able to get an appointment in less than one week, valet parking is free and relatively easy compared to other places in Miami, and the waiting room was very efficient. All the staff members I encountered were extremely pleasant. The only reason I give four stars was that there was a little bit of a mix up with what I actually needed since I do not need new orthodontic treatment. That said, Dr. deRoode took a look anyway and did not force any unnecessary treatment / costs on me. In fact she was sorry for the mix-up and did not charge me for the consultation. I will definitely be back when I do need treatment because of how knowledgable, humble, and pleasant Dr. deRoode and her staff were.

She followed all instructions. When the braces were finally removed her teeth looked terrible and was told "we did not want to break her jaw" that was how it ended. It's now a few years later and we are getting Invisalign with someone else since she wore her retainers and looks like she has buck teeth and really my daughter is unhappy so finally we are doing something about it. In addition to my horrendous experience, I discovered I had referred a new Miami Beach family friend to Dr. Gohill (I thought he was good) and the family had relocated to Boca Raton I found out her son also had a horrible job and that the Boca orthodontist offered to finish the job for free when he saw her child while attending one off her younger children since he was so horrified with the work. I have asked Dr. Gohill for a 50% refund but he only offered for her to come back for a 3rd time for free and I told him I would rather pay and leave a factual review. Not only this he was unable to fix my deep bite. Throughout treatment, I don't recall the doctor periodically measuring bite depth or referring back to the ClinCheck to compare my actual progress against the projected plan. Check-ins generally consisted of him looking at my teeth for about 5 minutes. When I brought up that my deep bite hadn't changed after a year and a half, I was told that my body would not accommodate fixing it. I've since consulted with other orthodontists who told me my deep bite is treatable with Invisalign, which makes me question why I was told otherwise here towards the end of my treatment. I also found that asking questions about my treatment was met with visible frustration, and I was told this office isn't used to patients asking as many questions as I did, questions I believe any patient is entitled to ask about their own treatment plan. I have discontinued treatment. I'll be continuing my Invisalign treatment with a different provider. Disclaimer: This review is specific to my experience with Invisalign/clear aligner treatment, not the doctor's work with traditional braces. It's also worth noting that this office asks patients to leave reviews early in treatment, which likely contributes to its high volume of 5-star ratings, since at that stage patients have mostly interacted with friendly staff rather than seen the results of treatment.

I've been seeing Dr. Grussmark since December 2019 for what has been my second course of Invisalign…read moretreatment. He is extremely skilled at what he does, and I have no doubts that he is objectively/statistically the best Invisalign practitioner in Miami-Dade. He's generally a pleasure to interact with and I've never had anything less than a stellar experience with his staff, who are all very patient, professional, and attentive. Bonus points for the dental assistants in particular, who have made all drilling etc. experiences as comfortable as possible. The reason why my rating is presently less than 5-stars is that the doctor's bedside manner can be hit-or-miss. I have about six cumulative years' worth of experience as an Invisalign patient at this point (not including additional orthodontic treatment as a teenager), so I tend to have nuanced and specific questions at this juncture (I just finished my first set of refinements and I'm about to start a second; that's basically three sets of trays). Sometimes I'm able to get him to sit and listen to my questions, get thoughtful answers, and even get indulged to have follow-ups. But other times... It's like pulling teeth (no pun). It is very frustrating when you are being rushed out of the chair after only ~3 minutes of having been with your treater, during which they have done all of the talking, leaving little time for yours (once he literally walked away while I was mid-sentence). I recognize that this is a product of the volume nature of most Invisalign practices, which tend to have an (understandably) busy schedule, coupled with the software nature of treatment (you only know so much until the program tells you otherwise). But I hate leaving with a feeling of guilt/fault over having questions about cosmetic issues (I've had a chipped incisor for the past couple months), areas of focus that are important to me, the stage of my treatment, etc. I empathize with the logistical nightmare that must be trying to see 50-something patients a day, all complaining about the same thing ("when will I be done?" etc.). But for the time that you are in that chair, I think it's important that your questions and concerns be consistently treated as valid. I hope by the time that I finally finish my treatment that I feel differently about this issue and can update my review accordingly.

I've been seeing him since 2022 and man what a ride. At first, Invisalign isn't fun because of the changes you feel at first, but this office will explain everything to you to the T and will make you feel welcomed and pays attention to your dental needs as a patient. Would recommend this office over and over again because they really are the best of the best.
