Husband had added=cost gravy for his fries and mushrooms for the steak. He remarked that he liked the fried onion strings on top. I had a couple of the fries and they were the coated type that I think should be banned forever, but he was fine with them. The gravy was reasonable without being memorable. We had the sticky toffee dessert to share and the server was kind enough to take a photo for us to remember the special day. The decor overall is pleasant resto pub style with seating arranged to allow for private conversation. The staff all seem focused and professional in their work. There were three of us and the first two were at least half done before mine even arrived. Those were the bad points, or the problems that need corrective action. On the positive side the cook (who I think is the owner) did a good job of cooking tasty meals. He was slow but he knew what he was doing. My partner's omelet look unique and she really enjoyed it. My wrap was good too. The cook understood English much better than the server and had more personality on display when he greeted his customers. Hopefully they will resolve the service issues.
