We went here with friends for supper. It was excellent as usual…read more We split a bunch of food to share - Coconut Shrimp which contained coconut tempura shrimp, salsa cruda, corn salad and lime . This were vibrant with a pop of tropical flavour. A great starter to share. Mushroom Flautas which were baked flour tortilla shell, wild mushrooms, jack cheese, garlic and avocado crema These were my favourite from the evening super rich and decadent. If you love mushrooms then try these. Mezcal Adobo Mussels - mussels, mezcal adobo sauce, grilled crostinis This dish was also good, and an interesting take on mussels. Finally Queso Fundido which contained - oaxaca cheese, pico de gallo, pork chorizo, mushrooms and tortillas. This was excellent (we ordered two) and incredibly rich. They also have a decent wine/beer menu and a great cocktail menu. Service was good.

I came here for my birthday dinner and overall had a great experience!…read more We started with the House Salsa Tasting, which came with black bean refritos with cotija cheese, salsa macha, salsa roja, salsa borracha, salsa cruda (pico de gallo), and agave totopos. Every salsa had its own unique flavor, and they were all delicious. The chips were fresh and crispy, and we even ended up using some of the salsas with the rest of our meal because they were that good. Next, we ordered the Beef Quesabirria, which came with braised beef, Oaxaca cheese, salsa cascabel, birria consommé, pickled red onion, white onion, cilantro, lime, and flour tortillas. These were absolutely incredible. The beef was tender, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The consommé was honestly a 10/10 and tied everything together. We also tried the Chicken Tinga Quesabirria, which came with chicken tinga, Oaxaca cheese, salsa cascabel, chicken birria consommé, pickled red onion, white onion, cilantro, lime, and flour tortillas. These were just as enjoyable! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked really well. To finish, we were surprised with complimentary churros because it was my birthday, which was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture. It was a great way to end the meal. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and the outdoor patio has a great atmosphere. The only downside during my birthday visit was the service. We waited over 15 minutes just to get our drinks and another 15-20 minutes before anyone came to take our food order. There were quite a few long gaps throughout the meal. Our server was friendly, but I expected quicker service, especially for a Wednesday evening around 7 p.m. That said, I actually returned a few days later, and the service was much better, so it seems like it may have just been an off night. Overall, the food was outstanding and definitely the highlight of the experience. I'd absolutely come back for the quesabirria and salsa tasting!

Went here for supper one night. It has a good cool vibe…read more Menu has a lot of diverse interesting items including some items for vegans. Good cocktail and craft beer selection as well. We orded the Pineapple Jam and Ham and The Brah for pizza. I also ordered the Jungle Balls as an appitizer. We also ordered some cocktails. Service was spotty and slow. Pizza was okay. Totally found the pineapple jam and ham way too sweet. Crusts for both were good. The Brah was decent. It seems like it is one of those places where the food when being described sound better than when actually on the plate. The Jungle Balls we not good in texture and fell apart easily, however, the flavours were delicous in them. Pizza was pretty expensive compared to other places. I may try this place another time, but I am sure not to run here.

I've been on a weight loss diet for 12 weeks, so I found myself ravenous for a pizza…read more I searched some pizza menus for a cheeseburger pizza and found the perfect one at Pink Gorilla. The "Royale With Cheese". I placed my order via phone. I was told 15 minutes. Pick up is in the back. There is a large patio area out there. One couple found the shady spot. During this heat-wave , I was not going to eat outdoors. I chose a regular crust. As I suspected, it was doughy. It got pretty tough near the end of my nosh. The toppings were great. Ground beef, crumbly bacon, diced tomatoes, mozzarella, cheddar cheese, mayo, ketchup and mustard. A large slice of sweet, juicy pickle topped the affair. I'll probably order again. Maybe eat a thin crust hot out of the oven next time. Pick up orders are 25%off. Quite attractive.
