Had a good experience here, but couldn't help but notice that a couple of the girls are running their butts off while others stand around and chat, obnoxious and louder than most patrons of the restaurant. One larger girl in particular ended her shift by slamming shooters at the bar. Also witnessed a pair of glasses found at a table that had been left and the glasses were passed around like a toy between a select group of employees, making jokes and wearing them. Easily the best pub in Leduc, not that there are many options. Good daily deals, very good beer and liquor selection, nice big open space that's not too loud, lots of TVs with great views, good food... I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the $2 Wednesday night tacos given pretty below average $2 taco offerings at other pub chains. This is an Alberta origin chain as well, which I value, and they have Canadian craft beer from Phillips and other west coast breweries on tap. As it should be! They also donate 50 cents to the local food bank for each pint of Big Rock; the only other chain which does something similar is Sherlock's and that's specific to one beer. I'm also impressed at the large clean washroom and a genius door opener where you can use your foot to open the washroom door and keep your freshly washed hands clean. Bonus star for that! Never been to any of the Original Joe's .. even though there is one just down the street from where I live. However the only reason I went to this one was because I was with a friend of mine and we wanted to go somewhere after playing a round of golf ( that's another story.. but to be honest we call the game something else ). Anyway.. we chose to sit out on the patio instead of inside. We were served right away and our waitress was prompt and knew what to recommend and what her favorite dishes were . She really liked the beef dip sandwich .. so we chose that.. both of us .. ( yeah I know right.. big menu.. and we both chose the same thing ). I have never been with anyone at a restaurant and order the same thing.. It should be a sin to do that... Beef dip sandwich with fries and coleslaw . A beer and a hard lemonade. I had the hard lemonade.. not a beer kinda guy. We got our ice cold drinks quickly. It was not very long and our food arrived... . hot and fresh . The only thing I forgot to say was I did not want mushrooms ( yuck ). So I ended up picking them out .. while my friend forgot to say no onions.. ( yuck ). The size of the sandwich was big and it was stacked pretty high. The fries were perfect . I was not a big fan of their coleslaw but it was good. $17.25 and it was worth it. Our drinks were pretty good as well.. and promptly refilled . Our waitress was super friendly and it felt like we were regulars. The food and atmosphere at Original Joes is always pleasant in my books. The restaurant is pub style with sports on the televisions and the staff are generally good. This location is not known for the speediest service, especially during the lunch or dinner rushes. Reservations can be made, but not on the weekends as far as I know. During my last visit, our waitress recommended that we order a pint of Raspberry Ale with raspberry slush and raspberries added in. I took her advice and I was in for a treat. It was about +30 out that day and this beer hit the spot! It was exactly what I needed. Definitely would order it again! read more

Original Joe's is a pub/restaurant chain that's been popping up all over Edmonton and now Leduc finally has a location. Original Joe's does not allow minors, which may seem unfortunate for parents, but there are many family oriented dining options in Leduc. But for me it's nice to have a dining option in town that's geared just for adults. While minors can't eat at Original Joe's it seems (from the sign I read outside) that you can order items for carryout. The restaurant itself is quite a bit smaller than the other Original Joe's I've been to in the city. I went in with a friend and luckily it was early enough we got a seat right away. On a Friday or Saturday night it might be a little harder to come by. Service was alright, friendly and pretty quick. I ordered the Jalapeno Mac and Cheese from the speciality menu. When it came out the portion looked much smaller than I had expected. But the dish was cheesy, spicy and very filling. I definitely couldn't have ordered any more. If the dish wasn't so filling I would have gotten an order of sweet potato fries, I always like them at Original Joe's. I guess that means I've got a reason to go back. read more

They took the chicken quesadilla off the menu a year or so ago & I'm still not over it. It was far superior to any chicken quesadilla I've had & I've had a lot of chicken quesadillas in my lifetime. Not to say this is the particular restaurant's fault but as a chain, they've changed my view on OJ's as a whole. read more

Came here several months ago and I had no idea what "Drunken Noodles" were, but thought I would give it a try as the menu stated it was spicy and I sure love spicy food. The cost was almost $15 dollars. Thought it would be a filling meal. When my order came I stared at it in disbelief. It was a very small bowl that was approximately half full of noodles. We thought we'd give it another chance after some time passing and some better reviews, as soon as we were walking in the door one of their bitchy staff with a blonde half shaved head pushed her way through us to get in the door and made a rude remark. We sat down and our server gave us coasters without taking a drink order, after 10 minutes another server (nice girl) came and asked us why he haven't gotten our drinks yet. It's alright, if you like the typical urban modern gastro-haus imitation food and service from barely legal, black dress wearing, ladies. But overall it does the trick for hip young folks for sure. Food is cooked properly, service is okay and the push to drink is on from the moment you sit down. I stopped in for lunch. Tried a Wild Rose Velvet Fog beer. Came with a wedge of lemon, needed it to give the beer flavor. Nice selection of draft beer so that would not stop me from going again. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with roasted veg and Caesar salad. It arrived way too quickly. I got one bite of the roast veg and one of the salad when the waitress asked how it was. Second bad sign. Well the veg was good. The salad was really uninspiring after four or five bites I did get one good one. Shortly after that i gave up and tried adding their Mexican sweet sauce. Very nice flavour. The roast veggies continued to be good. I tried the pulled pork.I asked for the apple cider vinegar flavour. It was vinaigrette for sure. The slaw had the sweetest dressing on it I have ever tasted. The bun was the cheapest hamburger bun you could possibly find. The pork... Well if ham has a mutton version this was it the stringiest driest pork I have ever had. Certainly not what I would expect a pulled pork to be, needed another 12 hours of slow cooking. A sad excuse for a meal. The decor was nice, the service was decent in spite of having to ask her to repeat herself repeatedly as the decent sound,music was too loud to make her out. There are a number of screens and it is obviously a sports bar. There is a patio which if they do not pipe the music out there might make it a nice place for a beer in the summer. Came with a group of five at about 6pm. Was not acknowledged at any point. Sat for about 15 minutes while I watched the servers washing tables and chatting up other customers. No one came to our table to take our order or even acknowledge we were there. As far as I could tell, there were four servers on and the place was about half full. Not worth the trouble. read more

to start.. the sweet yam fries was to die for! it comes with your choice of dill pickle or chipotle dip, i had the steak with a side dish of garlic mashed potato w/ gravy,the steak was juicy & tender, i loved it. my husband had the grilled chicken burger with mango pasta salad, the chicken was grilled just right but the salad was mediocre. we dined sunday night, the service was fast, our server was so nice & friendly ( forgot her name...) the place wasn't too bad, heard that other branches were better. price is not too bad as well... i'll definitely come back... read more

We try not to go here during busy points in the day (lunch/dinner/right after work). They're not known for their speedy service, but in the off hours, it's a good place to go for a drink, appies and a chat. It won't be winning any awards, but it's a solid place to go. The food is decent, and it's not too noisy. The portions are huge, and the drink menu can hold its own. The seasonal menu is usually a lot of fun. We'll keep heading there. read more

Great place to go if you want to hang out and chat with friends. Very friendly staff and are under new management now which seems to have improved the service. They've got an extensive menu with large portions. We love the mediterranean ribs appy (half price on Wednesdays), their fries with dill dip are a must, good burgers, salads etc. I can't handle the brewhouse across the street if you want to visit as tables are too close, it's too loud and too many tvs. read more

So we went to Original Joes in Leduc and ended up with the waitress from hell ! She brought us coffee and it was on the colder side so I mentioned it to her as politely as I could . Well the world ended right there ! She snapped at me and said it was steaming in the kitchen !! So then I get my food order and it's wrong ! Now I have to tell her and I'm thinking this should be fun ! So I told her and she offered to get the right meal made but I said it's ok I just thought you should know. I had an customer experience at this resaurant so hurtful, shameful and dissapointing I will refuse to give them my service from now on. On May 19th at around 3:30pm, my partner and I stopped in at this resaurant to share a glass of wine and catch up. There was only 3 other tables than ours and they occupied the otherside of the restaurant. We had a more private booth that had no other customers infront of us directly. My partner and I are affectionate and shared a few kisses in our private booth. Only to be extremely rudley SCOLDED AND SHAMED BY YOUR STAFF MEMBER, who was NOT our server. Her comment went something like "This is a family restaurant and you are offending customers and staff members, stop at once or else...." Her tone was harsh and shameful. Normally I would have something to say being spoken to in such a way but she diliberately embarassed me and my partner. I took this to heart and a direct threat to my LGBTQ & HUMAN rights. It made me feel ashamed of who I am and where i come from, as I grew up only a few Km away and frequent this restaurant. I asked several friends and strangers who are managers at other restaurants if her actions were justified and the answer was most definitely NO, her actions her vry innapropriate and in lack of better words, bitchy. I never got her name but she had orange blonde hair and was not the kind girl who served us. My partner and I did not react to this comment, just sat quietly (embarrassed & shamed), paid our bill, and left. NEVER TO RETURN. This still makes me so angry everytime I think about it and how I wished I would have stood up for us and said something about the way she approached the situation completely unprofessionally and rude. If shes a manager you want to rethink about who you hire to handle customers, as she is trash. I will only tell this story of all my experiences here, which is many. This WAS my favourite restaurant in Leduc, WAS always my first choice. But that has most definitely changed from the direct attack and offensive nature of this staff members approach. I can handle being told to stop, but the manner in which it is told directly reflects on your professionalism which has failed in monumental ways and still disappoints me everyday. Id love to give you my business and enjoy your food as I always have but in my heart I can't support this and have to stand up for our love and relationship in the only way I can. read more

Nice change to Leduc. Great pub style food and atmosphere. Never had anything we didn't like and so far service has been great too.

Dont go here for lunch if you are in a hurry. Food has never disappointed, however speed is lacking. Service is adequate.
