We used The Dessertist for our Wedding dinner and everything was amazing! She has a website to view all of the wonderful flavors to choose from & she makes everything custom to your desire! I ordered so much & the prices were so reasonable! I will definitely be calling to do business again & referring all my friends and family there! She delivers and sets everything up. She made everything so easy! Absolutely love The Dessertist!!!

We were in charge of my Buddy's birthday bash. I was assigned and wanted to get something special (It is not everyday you turn 67!). My bro told us about this bakery and we checked it out. The bakery here is nothing short of artistic masterpieces. They had a BIG variety of options when making your cake. You choose the batter, frosting and decours. The frosting can also be boozed infused to create interesting flavors. We had a chocolate with MARTINI flavored frosting. It was spectacular. The artist herself even asked us how we wanted the cake decorated. We trusted her and let her do hew own thing and she quite the talent. The birthday was pleased and have the Dessertist to thank. They also sell cake pops which allow to sample the combinations. Great place!

The most creative desserts ever. All nut-free and delicious. Cake pops and chocos are sooo good! Available at DeCicco's and Stew Leonard's.

We've ordered birthday cakes here twice. Both times were phenomenal. Samantha is a darling. Definitely our go-to bakery.

My niece had sent me pictures of a cake she wanted and I saw that Sam had done one very similar in the past.

They have a program to text when your table was ready, so we went for a walk in the neighborhood while we waited. A surprisingly short time later, we received the text that our table was ready! The menu(s) had a wonderful selection of food and drinks, along with some specials. They do use a QR code for their menus, but noticed they also had paper menus upon request. Our server was friendly and attentive. The other members of staff would also check in as they passed by. My boyfriend enjoyed the PB & J Latte along with the creole shrimp Benedict. He said it was seasoned well, right level of spice, stated the eggs were poached perfectly, and really enjoyed how moist the cornbread was. I indulged with the "Tipsy Palmer" which is an Arnold Palmer with Bourbon in it. To be honest, there wasn't much of a bourbon taste to it, if any at all, but for a summer brunch drink, it was refreshing. For my entree, I chose the chicken Caesar sliders. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed as the brioche buns seemed a little on the stale/stiff side. The homemade caesar dressing was delicious, but they only coated the lettuce in it which resulted in a bit of a dry slider. I believe the sliders would benefit from a bit of the dressing at least on the bottom of the bun. I asked for (and received) a side of the dressing to bring home to dress up my remaining sliders. Lastly, and I know this is extremely minor, but the silverware was placed incorrectly (knife and fork reversed with the knife edge in the wrong direction). Again, I am WELL AWARE this is minor, but for me, sometimes the minor details are the things that stand out. Overall, a wonderful experience and will try them again at a later date.

We arrived here around 12:30pm, I anticipated a wait due to the holiday (Juneteenth). We were told…read moreno more than 20 mins. We do notice two empty tables outside but understood that maybe they don't want to seat people and overwhelm the kitchen. After about 10 mins of waiting we're offered one of the tables that had been empty. (Which were outside). No menus given but we noticed the QR codes. Guy comes by and drops off cups w ice and a carat of water. Waiting... waiting.... Finally another server comes and asks if we'd like to order drinks. Yes, and our meals bc we've been sitting here for quite some time. We get our coffees and there's a lot of grinds at the bottom of the cups, server switches it out. We finally get our food and two of the three meals were not hot, not even warm. But we're hungry and eat but when the server checks in my sister says "honestly for as long as we waited we would've expected hotter food, these two (egg dishes) are cold." He apologizes and says he'll let the manager know. The manager, who I can only assume is Lisa (based on the responses I'm seeing here on Yelp) came out and said I hear the food is cold? And was very aggressive right off the bat. Saying everything comes right out of the kitchen and to the table, we don't have heat lamps. Offers to "reheat" the food (but how, the microwave?) we're already half way thru the dishes as we had waited a long time. My sister tried to express that after waiting for a table, service and grounds in the coffee that this was disappointing - the manager interjects w "well did you tell him did he give you a new one" She does NOT take criticism very well, she's abrasive and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. She then came out (after I assume finding out the whole story and how long we had been there) she said she would take the two items off the bill, which we weren't gunning for. As we just gave honest feedback when asked how everything was. We then noticed her come and check in on the other tables outside bc people who got there well after us also got their food at the same time... As much as I'd want to come back and try it again bc the promise is there. The manager was such a turn off, that I would be spending my money there, again.

Small but mighty, it was a lovely place to sit and read with a treat! My coffee expectations are usually low when I'm getting coffee at a bakery - but I was very pleasantly surpised, that's not the case here at all! I'd go back just for the cold brew (though how can you resist a treat?!) - strong and smooth, and with an add-your-own milk / oat milk / sugar situation. I got a filled croissant and it did not disappoint! I've been back again since, and my one critique would be that both times I think the croissant was slightly under-baked (but better than over-baked!) They have plenty of options, as well as birthday cake candles, sprinkles, spices, packs of cookies, and granola (which sells out fast, so it must be good!) Service was patient and friendly Also of note: LGBTQ+ affirming & single-use gender neutral restroom A lovely addition to town, and different enough from other local sweet treat spots - there's room for everyone!

The croissants are so flaky, so buttery, and with a light- as- air texture inside with a bit of a crunch on top. I am such a sucker for an almond croissant and Little Star Pastry's is easily one of my favorites. I love how much almond filling they put in it so the sweet almond flavor really comes through. They have so many other treats that I am so excited to try out in the future, but their almond croissants alone are why I have such a soft spot for this place. Coming here is such a treat, and it's a treat I intend on giving myself for many times to come!!
