Still rating it a four. I don't usually do updates, but I had to based on solely one item...if was the Freakin Pickle appetizer. A pickle wrapped in ham and cheese in a wonton wrap and deep fried ( I may not be totally spot on with the ingredients, so don't fact check me), but what ever the heck it was, you need to try these. Went here for lunch last weekend and had a good experience. The place is rather small but has a nice patio which increases the space. It seems like a family run restaurant with the daughters plus a few others running tables and the bar. Everyone was super friendly, the interior was dark but had a good theme, and the food was quite tasty as well. My party got two cups of chicken and dumpling soup, the Chinese chicken salad, the Bonnie melt, the BBQ beef brisket sandwich, and two long island iced teas. Everybody enjoyed their food and I was told the long islands were some of the best my parents ever had. I think I won out with the salad as the portion was a good size and the dressing was nice and tangy. I will say though that the chicken in both the soup and my salad was a bit overcooked and the bread on the brisket sandwich was burnt but those did not detract much from the taste. The Dillinger burger was delicious. The brisket shavings were tender and not dry, bun was almost too soft and pillowy, with the bottom bun absorbing all the delicious juices. My one complaint is that the serving plate was too small. I created a mess on the table trying to cut my burger. I didnt want to get my hands all dirty so I ended up eating it in layers instead. The thin fries were crispy and not overly salty or burnt, well done. The messy chicken sandwich however, was not messy at all. It was dry, overcooked, and needed a lot more sauce. Also, avoid the asian coleslaw. If I had to describe it in one word: sad. Clearly, not many ppl order it as the cabbage were wilted and soggy, making the entire side a sad sloppy mess. Overall moral here is that you came to a burger bar. Don't try being healthy. read more

We were on our way test out the terror train ok and we stumbled upon This spot located in a little city, right next to an vintage antique shop. It's a Cute little bar, outdoor and indoor seating. I didn't know what to expect - but the food was actually really good! And the drink prices were amazing! Friendly customer service. Pets and kids allowed. The playlist was awesome that night!!! Made me want to get up and dance! Hahaa - hope no one minded me singing to Livin on a prayer. Lol! Ordered pastrami melt, burger, fries and calamari. Everything was tasty, and quick service!!! Oh man this place was great!!! We ordered a bottle of wine and bunch of food that my sister and I split. The bisque soup was amazing!! The Mac and cheese bites were creamy and fun. The Tuna melt totally got the spot. The prices are extremely fair!! Would have given 5 stars if the server would not have disappeared at the end when we were trying to pay the bill. And watch out for the credit card fee they automatically add to your bill!! We were paying cash and had we not looked over the bill, we would have involuntarily paid an additional fee. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable servers that happily explain the menu and give suggestions. Ambiance is that of a bar. But few pictures on the walls but otherwise very plain. The food was solid. There is nothing stunning about the flavors. The prime rib melt was decent. The roasted peppers on it were also good, but the flavors didn't compliment each other. The creamy horseradish sauce was a yummy addition. When at a place that offers a dish named after themselves, you have to try it: The Dillinger is a burger with smoked brisket. The brisket had a really nice smoke to it, and sadly, they drowned it with BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce was so overwhelming that it masked the taste of the burger, which alone was tasty; together, it was good, not great. IMHO, leave our sauce (the brisket should be jiucy and speak for itself), and it's a winner. The Asain slaw was good but not very asain tasting. The soup was OK. Not quite creamy enough. The onion rings were good but skinny. Bottom line, go and ask for The Dillinger without BBQ sauce. read more

One of my favorite places to eat in Boulder City. I have a house in Boulder City, and vacation there. A full bar makes any drink you want. I go there for burgers, but other menu items are available. I would describe it as part restaurant and part beer joint. The servers have always been attentive, and it is usually quiet. However, it is a regular stop for tour buses, so sometimes it may be crowded. My favorite is the Dillinger burger because it comes with many different kinds of meat. read more

This place is awesome!! The decor has a 1920''s /1930's look to it dimly lighted. The outside tables have a glass top with bullet shells under the glass. Went for a late lunch today. Had been there once before, about year and half ago. Not disappointed, service was efficient but not rushed, they were busy. Tables inside and outside were being taken care of with three people, that's food and drinks. The menu has nice little quips after the description. Many choices. We stopped at The Dillinger on a Saturday afternoon after exploring Boulder City and having a few drinks elsewhere. We came here specifically because they offered outdoor seating and our dog could join us. We liked that. When we arrived, there was only one table outside open and we were able to grab it no problem. They had a few bowls ready outside for dog water bowls and were happy to bring water for our dog. We also were able to order him a plain grilled chicken breast so he could get some food too which we appreciated. They said they do it all the time! For our dinner, my husband was in the mood for wings so he went with that and I went with a Bugsy burger. Felt like I had to have a burger here! My husband thought his wings were just OK but he is really picky on wings. He did still eat them all up of course. My burger was yummy and cooked to how I asked for it. We stopped here after a morning at the Hoover Dam. We were hungry after all of that hiking! The Dillinger delivered. Not a very exotic or diverse menu but what it does offer (burgers and sandwiches) it does very very well. There's not a ton of seating... a bar with 12-15 bar stools and about a dozen tables, but we were lucky to be able to grab a table and service was prompt and friendly. We got sodas and my husband got a beer. Then we ordered sandwiches and the kid ordered chicken fingers. They do have a kids menu... notable for what is first and foremost a bar. The food was also prompt and made well. Not Michelin level but we weren't looking for that anyway. Reasonable prices, too. The tables filled up while were there and cleared/filled up again during our lunch. It's a popular place, and I can see why. Good food, good pricing and hey, there's beer! okay so first of all this place gets mad points for being in Boulder City. I love Boulder City. Also, they really embraced the like gangster theme and had newspapers on the walls which is a perfect touch for just outside of Vegas. We got a lot of different kinds of burgers and every single one was a hit. When we got our food it was just silent for a good five minutes while we all soaked it in. Would recommend the one with pineapple and teriyaki sauce. They did not skimp on the teriyaki and it was so flavorful and well prepared. The burgers are creative and delicious, every combination is amazing. The sweet potato fries were dusted with brown sugar for the perfect caramelized flavor. All in all, this place is a hit. There are so many highlights for this place based on my personal experience. We are locals ourselves and are big supporters of local businesses so we were very pleased to see that this one restaurant was open while other restaurants in the area had already closed. The Dillinger was already booming but luckily for us, someone had just left so we were able to get seated as soon as we arrived. The service was very personable. It just so happened that we were also celebrating a little bday for my father in law so decided on a bottle of wine to go along with our food. Staff kept our Riesling chilled behind the bar and would pour as requested. All hot sandwiches were great and I loved the sweet potatoe fries! In the end, our server surprised my father in law with a slice of cheesecake and a candle. It was nice little touch. It was the perfect late lunch and created the best experience for all of us. Prices are very reasonable. It may not be a fine dine place but it is more of a pub with a "Cheers" atmosphere. We decided to go to Boulder City and explore a little and just in time for lunch. The Dillinger was recommended to us so why not give it a try. The atmosphere was good and we were greeted right away when we stepped inside. The staff was friendly and we were seated immediately. The inside is dark and small but we got a booth in the back and it worked fine. Our server was very attentive and helpful. We ordered a few things and it didn't take too long to come out. We ordered a chicken sandwich and it was supposed to be spicy but it really didn't have much flavor, we also ordered chicken wings and they were spicy but even asking for them to be well done they were a bit mushy. The fries were good but not so hot , my mom's burger was far from gourmet it definitely seemed to be a premade patty and was on the small side. After hiking, the old Historic Railroad Trail to Hoover Dam and back (8 miles in the sun), we decided to pop into the Dillinger for a burger to quench our ravenous appetite after this epic hike. I was struggling, yet this burger rescued me. I ordered the double smash with a side of french fries, a new burger on their menu, and this smash hits. The onions perfectly pressed into the burger, the bun soft and sweet, the onions and cheese oozing out of this delicious double smash. Woo boy! It was a fantastic burger. This is a spot in Boulder City that is great for burger nuts, especially those of you who enjoy strange toppings on your meat. The service can sometimes be slow but only because the place is packed, especially on a Saturday afternoon in beautiful Boulder City. I highly recommend stopping in here, as much as I highly recommend spending a day up in Boulder City checking out the breweries, antique stores and some of the other beautiful amenities they have up there that are nothing like we see here in Las Vegas. read more

Mood- Burgers We were in the area and I will admit the hangry started to take over. I originally wanted to try another place and the line was out the door down into the street. As we were walking in the area with antique shops, I was surprised - that The Dillinger had no lines. So this was the day to finally try this place. It has always been packed every time I am on this side. Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered to sit wherever we choose. Drink order was taken and menus were given. We were asked if there were any questions. The menu is pretty straightforward honestly. We opted for the Dillinger, and the 45 Special along with a hot tea. Can I say the portion size of the Dillinger was insane. I almost am tempted to bring my big appetite friends here to see if they can handle the food challenge. And goodness the cheesy goodness of the 45 Special was just what I needed. Interior is quaint. There are few table and chairs inside along with outdoor seating as well. You are able to sit up at the bar as well. There was a television playing the game so I was truly in my happy place. Music was going in the background as well. Everything was very clean . Would most def recommend - pricing in my opinion for the portions was pretty good. The staff were very courteous and hospitable. My table was checked on continually and we never once felt rushed.
