The Dillinger Boulder City, NV October 2025

The Dillinger in Boulder City, NV was excellent. We both got burgers and both were excellent! The staff was friendly, helpful, and checked on us often - not at all overbearing, they were the perfect amount of attentive. It was like they had a sixth sense, their timing was always spot on! The outdoor seating was great and there were leash hooks. I highly recommend this place - especially if you like burgers as much as I do!

I've learned that when the place is amazing, I take 0-1 picture only because I'm enjoying every moment. That is the case for this place. Amazing staff, super rad decor, and awesome food! Plus great drinks, so we were all very happy. Everything was delicious but the highlights were - 'picklebacks' (the bartender will know lol), the smash burger, the gangster fries, the prime rib melt (5 stars), and the dillinger burger of course. Oh and the clam chowder! No one was unhappy with their orders and the staff were so nice and attentive despite being pretty busy. We'll definitely come back if we're in town again.

My goodness, what a treat this was! The food was delicious and served so quickly. We had the Chicken fingers and Chicken wings, both with fries! Absolutely loved it. The service was great, fast and friendly. The interior was really cool!

I finally made it to The Dillinger! Located in Downtown Boulder City this tiny spot has amble seating with a friendly staff. I ordered The Dillinger- minus the cheddar piled with applewood smoked bacon & bbq'd beef brisket. This is a Damn good burger! Hubs ordered the Pancho Villa burger - piled high with grilled Onions & Jalapeños including Habanero Jack Cheese & Jalapeño bacon- delish! For sides we choose fries & onion rings - both good. Full bar.

Came up with my husband and daughter for a quick work trip and of course had to wander around adorable Boulder City. We were starving and heard The Dillinger was a "must try" and now I see why. It's a quaint little pub style restaurant with a vast menu. My husband and I wanted to try everything! I could not believe the options. I ended up with the baby face Nelson burger with a side of their creamy chicken veggie soup. The burger was to die for! The mix of the melted Brie cheese with the fig was just *chefs kiss* I devoured it. To wash it down had to try a Nevada brewed beer and went for the Able Baker mango he'd draft. So tasty and flavorful. My husband went with an original smash burger, and my daughter did the grilled cheese with fries. All were great. Service was fairly quick and they were very attentive. Definitely would come back if in town.

Intro: On our way back to Phoenix from Vegas, we made a pit stop in Boulder City to grab lunch at The Dillinger. My friend recommended the spot and when I heard the name, it was all I needed to know. I'm a big fan of mafia/gangster movies. If The Dillinger doesn't ring a bell, it's time to do some research. Service (N/A): We got takeout so we only interacted with the staff briefly. They were quick and efficient in taking care of the bill and the food was ready when promised. No complaints. Ambiance (4.5/5): For a gangster-themed bar and restaurant, I had a certain perception in my mind of what it would look like. And I was on target. Some mafia-related pictures adorn the walls, wooden booths, and a small bar. Cool spot. Drinks (N/A): We got takeout so no drinks on this visit but they do have my favorite beer here, Delirium Tremens. Not a lot of places have it so two thumbs way up. Food (5/5): I love a good burger and The Dillinger specializes in burgers. I went with The Dillinger because hey, how can you say no to the name of the restaurant? Especially when you hear that it's a burger batty with brisket, bacon, and all of the fixings. This is a good size burger y'all that oozes with those good meat juices and sauce. The bacon is crisp. The bread fluffy. Everything comes together for an A+ burger. The fries were also great. Crisp. And a large portion. A better lunch than this would be hard to find for me. Overall: If I was living in Boulder City, I would be a regular here. We found free parking right across from the restaurant. If you're looking for a delicious lunch in a casual environment and you want to down a couple of brews, check out The Dillinger.

a closer look at Baby Face Nelson

The exceptionally fine weather spurred a trip into Boulder City for antiquing, art, big horn sheep watching, and admiring over-the-top Christmas decorations. But first, lunch at The Dillinger. Baby Face Nelson ($17.50): Hefty; the menu does boast of 1/2lbs patties. Meat doneness wavered between medium-rare (my request) and medium (restaurant default). Pretty juicy anyway. Toasted buns held together. The brie block was at a perfect melt consistency. I'd rather the arugula had fewer stems. Came with a tomato slice, lettuce leaf, and white onions on the side. Sweet Potato Fries ($2): An upcharge substitute for the standard included choice of fries/slaw/soup. Decent enough amount on the plate, most were crispy, a few softer, but all with fluffy interior, very tasty. Wasatch Brewery Apricot Hefeweizen ($7): Can, served cold with tab helpfully popped, plus a chilled glass. Value: Debatable. Prices seem high, but the burger at least was substantial. Atmosphere: Bank facade, bootlegger bar, tourist attraction. Tables were filled with used shells. Old-timey photos alongside colorful brewery posters on the walls. Music though was from the bygone classic era of MTV. Service: Super friendly and attentive from Adrai and Jacob. etc There was a 4% additional fee for credit card payment. I paid in cash.

Okay this local dive bar is pretty cool. Good selection of cold brews. Great Gangster Theme going. Good service. Outdoor seating available. The food was good, Eggrolls should have been hotter, just warm inside. But overall we would come back to try a Burger.

Franks wings. Nasty when you say you don't want franks.

The wings are drenched in nasty franks sauce... even when I said I didn't want that. To go order came with TWO celery sticks. That's it. Not worth $20. Disgusting sauce and wings. Photo is after wringing out every single wing of the nasty sauce. Also when I asked my server to describe a sauce- what it was like- she said I don't really know. I tried to help her- is it sweet, is it tangy, is it vinegary? She only said it's not like franks. Tastes exactly like franks. They should not have servers who don't know how to describe food selling food and wanting a tip. She got much too well of a tip because food doesn't come out until after you pay. She had zero clue about food. This world is insane.

So I've been trying to come here for month already after a video i saw on YouTube! Finally we decided to come for lunch and it had been a bucket list thing for me to try a food challenge one day. Lo a behold they have a challenge called " the Dillinger Gauntlet. The challenge consist of 2 Dillinger burgers they come with 1/2 lb patties applewood smoked bacon and beef brisket and of course all your veggies. The sides are everything they have which is French fries , sweet potatoe fries Cole slaw , onions rings a bow of ice cream and a slice of cheese cake. Now the catch is you have 20 minutes to complete this challenge if you finish in 20 minutes or under you get this 60$ meal for free if not then you pay obviously. The burgers were pretty juicy seasoned well and the brioche bun was great the brisket bacon were a nice and the bacon and brisket paired well. They said I didn't have to eat the veggies but I love my veggies so I had them as well. I finished both my burgers in about 5 minutes maybe less. The fries were nice and crunch seasoned perfectly. And I would guess it was at least 1 pound of fries. The sweet potatoe fries were not my cup of tea though. I'm not a fan of sweet fries they tasted really seasonal / Christmasy , that was a tough part of the challenge for me but I mustard my way through it. The onion rings were top tier!! I only got about 7/8 rings would have loved more of those. I'm sure the ranch was house made because it was bomb!! Nice and thick and creamy. Another item I was not a fan on was the Cole slaw I don't know what it was dressed with but it had no flavors and was kind of wilted idk if it was made at the beginning of the day or not. The peanut butter cake was so freaking good! I ate that thing up in like 4 bites!! The ice cream I literally had to pour water in the bowl to eat it because I kept getting a brain freeze ahaha. Hence I was eating outside because I didn't want to make this challenge a big thing. So I completed my challenge and I got my 60$ for free which I truly appreciate the staff of the Dillinger for honoring their offer!! The staff was amazing and my family was here with me for support! I'll definitely be back to try more of the items they have to offer! If anyone is in mood for a great burger I highly recommend this restaurant. Just 30 minutes outside of Vegas where my home is. Well worth the drive. Thank you so much !!

We only waited a short time for a table despite the smallish dining room. If you can't wait there was plenty of seating out front too. There were four adults in our group. Food came out promptly and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Onion rings, as they should be, hot, and crispy, and the onions were soft and sweet. Too many places give you crappy onion rings even expensive restaurants. These were made right. Five stars for that! I had the prime rib patty melt on grilled sourdough bread. A little smallish but very good. The meat was a little overcooked for a prime rib but very good flavor. I had fries which were lightly seasoned and crisp. Others had burgers and chicken. Some of us also had sweet potato fires. I should add here that we live in the Midwest, and have lived in the South, both regions that do sweet potato fries very well and in many varieties. These were lightly covered in brown sugar and cinnamon. My wife liked them I didn't think the dusting was needed. However, I prefer a more savory fry to dip in ranch dressing. They don't carry any ZERO sodas and like most places in Southern Nevada do not carry Coke products. My choices then were diet Pepsi (yuck) or water. The restrooms were in need of repair, remodeling, and cleaning but they were serviceable. The theme of historical bank robbers, thieves, and early mobsters was well presented and there were lots of things to look at while you waited. Also if you eat out front there are fans and misting machines to make it more comfortable.

This was asked four years ago, so wondering if changed. Do they take reservations? Above on the Yelp page it says yes.

Not that i am aware of, i just walk in.

Is it recommended or do they take reservations for a Saturday night?

They do not accept reservations at all. This is a very small place with limited space for eating and drinking.

This place has a legit small-town feel and serves some excellent barbecue. We ordered the Burger special, sliders (one pork and one brisket), and The Brisket sandwich. The sliders were huge for sliders and served on big toasted buns and piled high with coleslaw, onions, pickles, and pepperoncinis. Both meats were flavorful and tender. The brisket sandwich was outstanding: certified Angus beef cooked low and slow, seasoned with their Texas-style rub, sliced thick, and stacked high on grilled Texas toast. Very satisfying. For drinks, we had a couple Hazy Fox IPAs and two Huckleberry Lemonades that were on special for $5, which were a fun and refreshing choice. The sides were just as impressive. My family ordered the 50/50 bowl with half mac & cheese and half cowboy beans which was outstanding. The cowboy beans were especially packed with flavor. We also tried the fried okra and potato salad. The okra was amazing; crispy and delicious. The potato salad was just okay for me and a little bland, but I'm from the north, so I know everyone makes potato salad differently depending on the region. Overall, Fox Smokehouse BBQ was a great stop with delicious food, generous portions, and a welcoming hometown vibe. Definitely worth visiting if you're near Boulder City.

Wait Time: Between all three visits, there was an average wait time of 20-30 minutes. When we arrived to the window to pay on our first visit, we were told to take a lap around the drive-thru and that our order would be ready upon our return. It turned out we arrived to the window and waited about 20 minutes before we received our order. Order: With the wait time in mind, please remember that Rome wasn't built in a day--so don't expect a quality meal to be ready within five minutes. With that being said, we ordered the 1). double cheeseburger with fries, 2). crispy chicken sandwich with fries, 3). fish and chips, 4). chicken tenders, 5). a strawberry shake, and 6). a chocolate shake between our three visits. The quality across all three visits was consistent and detailed here: 1). The Double Cheeseburger was cooked to our doneness preference. The bun was toasted with light butter and a slight crunch to the bite. The patties were juicy and well-seasoned. The cheese was evenly melted on the patties. The condiments did not overpower the patties' flavor. The toppings were the standard lettuce, tomato, and onions--which worked harmoniously with the rest of the burger, making for one of the best burgers I have ever had. Upon first glance, it meets my expectations of what a burger should be. 2). Much like the Double Cheeseburger, the Crispy Chicken Sandwich was of excellent quality. All of its components worked collectively to deliver in flavor and texture, including the toasted bun with the slight crunch. It was a perfect Crispy Chicken Sandwich. 3). The Fries were flavorful (fry seasoning, salt), crinkle cut, and evenly fried throughout (i.e. you did not have some hard pieces and some soggy pieces). We recommend a side of ranch for dipping. 4). The Fish and Chips were your standard Fish and Chips--and I mean that in the best way. They were fried until the classic golden and served with tartar sauce. Again, everything you would expect out of Fish and Chips. 5). While the Chicken Tenders were good, they were not outstanding. We would not order them again due to the other superior items on the menu. 6). The Strawberry Shake was flavored with fresh strawberries and like the Chicken Tenders, it was not outstanding. The Chocolate Shake was a classic Chocolate Shake. If you are craving a shake, then go for it. Otherwise, there isn't anything that would separate these shakes from another good quality shake. Both shakes leaned toward a thicker consistency. Note: The medium sized shakes are huge. If we ever get one again in the future, we will order a small instead. Service: We felt welcomed during each visit and did not feel rushed at the intercom (all three of our visits were through the drive-thru). Prior to visiting, we were unsure of what to expect with the mixed reviews and ultimately decided that we would just find out for ourselves. We are so grateful that we made the choice to try Chilly Jilly'z, because it is now one of our favorite spots in Southern Nevada. We definitely recommend that you give it a try!

The Chicken Shack (Don't harass people please)…read more Ambiance/Atmosphere: 4/5 - So, one of my family was feeling a little bit hungry and wanted to try this place in Boulder City for some food. I wasn't feeling too hungry after Last Stop Travel Center, but I ordered something anyway. - The inside was, to be honest, pretty calm. It was a bit dirty, but not to the point of it being really bad. - Not many people, a little empty but not bad. - It also has weird answers from famous figures on the immortal question of why did the chicken cross the road. Some of them like Lennon and Nixon are not good people. Service: 5/5 - Service was pretty good. They were nice and answered my question when I asked if free refills were a thing allowed (they were). Prices: 4/5 - I forgot to get a picture of the prices, but it is indeed a bit expensive, but they are much more fairly balanced than Last Stop (and don't charge $8 for a Hotdog). Food: 5/5 - You know what, after eating at Last Stop, this was a pretty good meal. Even by itself, the chicken and fries are solid. - Fry sauce reminds me of Cane's sauce, but it's pretty good as is. - Also, I tried to get Chili Cheese Fries just to compare to Last Stop, but they unfortunately were out of chili. Overall: 5/5 Stars Final Thoughts: For my first time eating at a Chicken Shack, I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered some food. This honestly feels like a completely different experience from Last Stop, and I wish this was the stop where we went to eat originally. I do not see a meaningful distinction between the two groups in this regard.

I finally had the chance/time to stop in here & check this place out!!!…read more When my mother was in her early 20's she worked @ an A&W joint so I had asked her "Ma, what is good?" & she told me "the burgers." As much as I wanted to grab a fried chicken sandwich I went with a Papa burger. I found it to taste very salty but I'm also one who doesn't add salt to my food. The french fries were good but I didn't like the ketchup, it definitely wasn't Heinz....lol I did get some honey mustard to dip my fries in & they had Heinze packets & that didn't taste good either, it had a strong vinegar taste to it. Of course I had to get a Rootbeer float but watch out guys because there must be some secret to drinking it without it foaming up & the rootbeer spilling all out the glass & onto the counter/table. This happened to me as soon as I put my straw in the cool, glass A&W mug. I started chugging it down as if I was in a drinking contest trying to get it to stop from overflowing. I made a mess on the counter in the process. My friend had the same problem & while we were sitting in the dining room area this elderly couple had it happen to both of them & then this guy who was by himself. I then saw a young boy with a float & thought OMG its going to happen to him too!! It was actually entertaining to watch people drink their floats but this boy must of been a professional....lol I watched him & he first slowly pushed the scoop of ice cream down into the glass & started to eat that with a spoon, it wasn't really touching the soda and then he slowly put his straw in & started to drink away with no over flowing......I can't tell you the last time I had a soda (I don't drink soda anymore) but coming here I just had to have an A&W float.....This drink should come with instructions.....lol The decor inside is super cute & I even got some random lady to take a picture of me with the A&W bear. Someone was cleaning the restrooms when we got there so they were clean. Even saw some guy come to empty the change out of the PacMan machine. The guy taking our order @ the counter seemed a little slow & confused. My friend had placed her order & told him that she would be paying for our other friend when he asked "is this all together?" I told him I was separate. After my friend put his order in the kid was asking me what I wanted, I had to remind him I was separate. Once you have paid for your meal you get a pole with a # on it that you bring back to your table. Our meals came out quick. It's a pick up after yourself dining area. I'd definitely come back for the Rootbeer float challenge & see if I can drink it without it spilling....I'd like to try out their fried chicken sandwich or tenders (I'll have to bring my own dipping sauce) & an ice cream cone. I did find their prices to be expensive but I liked how you could get a rootbeer float as your drink in the meal combo. My burger was big & my whole meal had me feeling full and I was having trouble finishing the burger. I'll be back!
