Mood- Burgers We were in the area and I will admit the hangry started to take over. I originally wanted to try another place and the line was out the door down into the street. As we were walking in the area with antique shops, I was surprised - that The Dillinger had no lines. So this was the day to finally try this place. It has always been packed every time I am on this side. Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered to sit wherever we choose. Drink order was taken and menus were given. We were asked if there were any questions. The menu is pretty straightforward honestly. We opted for the Dillinger, and the 45 Special along with a hot tea. Can I say the portion size of the Dillinger was insane. I almost am tempted to bring my big appetite friends here to see if they can handle the food challenge. And goodness the cheesy goodness of the 45 Special was just what I needed. Interior is quaint. There are few table and chairs inside along with outdoor seating as well. You are able to sit up at the bar as well. There was a television playing the game so I was truly in my happy place. Music was going in the background as well. Everything was very clean . After hiking, the old Historic Railroad Trail to Hoover Dam and back (8 miles in the sun), we decided to pop into the Dillinger for a burger to quench our ravenous appetite after this epic hike. I was struggling, yet this burger rescued me. I ordered the double smash with a side of french fries, a new burger on their menu, and this smash hits. The onions perfectly pressed into the burger, the bun soft and sweet, the onions and cheese oozing out of this delicious double smash. Woo boy! It was a fantastic burger. This is a spot in Boulder City that is great for burger nuts, especially those of you who enjoy strange toppings on your meat. The service can sometimes be slow but only because the place is packed, especially on a Saturday afternoon in beautiful Boulder City. I highly recommend stopping in here, as much as I highly recommend spending a day up in Boulder City checking out the breweries, antique stores and some of the other beautiful amenities they have up there that are nothing like we see here in Las Vegas. read more

Whenever we ride the RML trail (36 miles++), we work one heck of an appetite! Dilingers is a favorite good eats spot and watering hole. There's always something to satisfy your tastes and preferences. When it's a first timer, I will suggest the Dilinger burger and their deliciously crispy fries. The last time there, I enjoyed a Caesar wrap which was very satisfying. I also love that they have hard ciders on tap, I usually go for the blood orange option but if it's available, pineapple is my favorite. The service is always awesome, the staff is friendly and offers their suggestions whenever you're not sure what to order. Was in dire need of a burger one afternoon and decided to finally check out the Dillinger. It had been on our radar for quite a few months since finally visiting the good ole town of Boulder City, but it was almost always packed the times we had peeped it on the weekends. Came in on a Thursday night and luckily, it wasn't too busy. Was immediately greeted by our bartender/server who was absolutely delightful. The food runner/busser was timid/shy, but our bartender's energy made up for that. The food was amazeballs. My Bugsy burger with grilled jalapeños was on point, and don't even get me started on the Gouda mac and cheese bites. BOMB. Boyfriend got the Dillinger which was half a pound of meat + brisket, and he said it was delicious. Fries and onion rings were seasoned great. So so so good. We found this place using Yelp. We walked up and there was a young lady clearing tables outside. She told us to sit where we'd like. Her name was Sophia. A young gentleman took our order. He was very knowledgeable and willing to help us with any questions from the menu. Our food was served in a timely manner. I had the steak salad and it was wonderful. The steak was cooked just right and it was presented beautifully. Someone there cares about what they serve! My husband had the Yakuza and fries. He's not much of a fry lover, but said these didn't need ketchup! He loved his burger as much as I loved my salad. (I didn't get a picture of his plate, sorry) The food was great, and the service was even better. You've got to check this place out. The only negative is that they were out of Frickin' Pickles. So my in-laws were in town, and on our way to the Hoover Dam, my husband suggested we stop here. I guess he's been here a couple of times with his friends. Now I am upset he's been gate-keeping The Dillinger from me! This spot is incredible. The outside is charming, fitting right in with Boulder City. There are a few outdoor tables for enjoying the weather while you dine. Walking in, the decor is rustic and clean. It gives sort of a museum vibe. Very cool. All of the actual tables were taken, so it gets busy even on weekdays. We had no problem sitting at the bar, though. It was surprisingly comfortable. The service was great. Everybody was super friendly! But the star of the show was the food. I ordered the chicken finger salad. I asked for medium sauce on the fingers as well as blue cheese on the salad. It was pretty big and really yummy. The medium sauce was very good. I will say though, while finely chopped lettuce adds good mouth-feel, it's a little difficult to pick up with your fork. No biggie, I enjoyed it! My husband's burger though, was absolutely KILLER. I mean, I'd make the 40 minute drive here just for the burger ANY day. He ordered their new Yakuza burger. I was stealing bites from him, wiping up any bit of sauce he dropped... I mean, I basically licked his plate. I believe there's an aoili on the burger, as well as a sweet teriyaki type of sauce. I never would have found this lovely hole in the wall establishment had it not been for a fellow Yelper. We have made it a habit to come here after our hikes and other adventures in Boulder City. We are usually dirty and famished- lucky for us, the Dillinger is able to accommodate us while we rest up and fuel up with some tasty hamburgers and fries, and sodas. The place is small,dark, and loud- there are seats outside if you want a little more light and have a big group. Service is quick and a bit sassy, but in a fun way. Came here due to a local recommendation. We were in the hunt for a good burger. They have a good burger list and everything is very reasonably priced. Got the jalapeño hot burger, pretty tasty thought the bun was a bit cold and didn't match the burger. Kiddo really enjoyed the kids burger. The best thing we had was the prime rib patty melt. Super tender and delicious. All the food tasted almost home made, not greasy or over salted like most pub food. We recently moved to BC and this was one of the first places that we decided to try. We moved down here from Reno and one of our favorite places to go up there was Virginia City. The Dillinger could be a place right out of VC! The staff is exceptional. They welcomed us to BC and told us how much we would love living here. We have visited twice now and I got the Chinese Chicken Salad, which was fresh and delicious. The calamari appetizer was also very good and served with a spicy cocktail sauce that made it unique. The sweet potato fries are crispy and hot! Dad must try the Reuben everywhere he goes and he gave this one two thumbs up. This place will be one of our regular places to visit, for sure. read more

I only heard good things about the burgers, but my smash burger patties were extremely thick, mother in law wanted the same thing but they prep the patties with onion and the server was unwilling to tell the kitchen to make a smash burger with no onions. Speaking of server, we had a nice gentlemen taking our drink order but knew nothing about drink menu so he couldn't answer any of our questions about drinks and slipped in a "you're asking the wrong guy I can't afford the drinks here." only to find out he wasn't our waiter, just doing our waitress a solid while she runs around, which I think was a nice gesture for teamwork, but I still think it would benefit the team if he was more knowledgable about drinks if he were going to take our order. My family and I decided to try this place per the reviews. We come into Boulder City every weekend as we go to the Veterans Memorial Cemetery from Vegas. As a server myself, this place was terrible. Service was lacking in every aspect. Was only checked on when we ordered food, had food dropped off, and when presented with the check. The food was also awful. It was apparent that the kitchen was behind (probably lacking in staff). Onion rings were soggy. Calamari was sad. Seafood bisque under seasoned. It is rare that I tip anyone under 20% as I know the value of tipping as I work in the service industry. However, because everything was so bad I could not justify leaving 20%. The staff was great, so glad we stopped by on our way home to Scottsdale from EDC LV. Food was amazing and the place was clean. You could tell there was a lot of love put into the vibe and small details. The owner (I believe it was at least) was in there which shows his level of care. My new favorite lunch spot in Boulder City! My more health-conscious older son (13) got a chicken wrap that he devoured and loved. My youngest (7), who's picky about burgers got the Burger Jr. and onion rings, none of which remained at the end, and about which he raved for a while in the car on our way home. My wife got a burger with brie and fig jam that she enjoyed, washed down with a tasty bottle of Kentucky Brewing Co.'s vanilla cream ale. I had to order the signature burger, The Dillinger, and added the avocado from the chicken wrap. Delicious! Warmed up with a local favorite, Bluffing Isn't Weisse from Bad Beat Brewing, and I washed down the burger with Dogfishhead 120 Minute. Service is pretty bad everywhere these days, it was horrible for us, jaw droppingly rude two different times. but it was actually the older manager lady that finally drove us off. Outrageous! What a sad life that must be. People want to spend their hard earned money and tip and the staff makes it impossible. This is a really cute place. I loved the old time "gangsta" decor from the front door handles to the vintage posters. I'm a tourist, never been to Boulder City before, never been to Nevada before. The service staff was helpful and attentive and sweet. I'm a super picky eater and if I eat half of anything I order, I'm doing well. I cleaned my plate. I had the first item on the sandwich menu, the BBQ Brisket sandwich. It was off the chain marvelous. I would order it again in a second. My only regrets are that I am 2,000 miles away and have no idea when I will go near that part of the country. If this place was closer I would go back and order everything on the menu. I've had two different ladies and they are very personable and funny. Small little place but busy both times, but not busy enough we couldn't find a table for 6. I ordered the Cuban sandwich the first time and it was delicious, but sooo messy it made me not want to finish it. This last visit, I ordered the Philly cheese steak and added the creamy garlic sauce, 10/10 I highly recommend. I'd say I'm fairly picky about my philly's, too dry, too wet, too much bread - but this one was perfect I ate every last piece (which is rare for little ol' me).
