Stopped by after a morning walk. The place was very busy, but the line moved very efficiently. Friendly and clean environment. Drinks were a little pricey but very yummy. The outside patio seating was nice and spacious.

Great atmosphere. Honestly one of the most laid back coffee shops. Indoor and outdoor seating. I love how none-pretentious this place is. I had the matcha latte that was just slightly sweet, just the way I like it. There is always a long line but it moves fast. Staff are friendly.

This is the perfect spot to drop into for a coffee, breakfast or light lunch. I love riding my bike here to sit in the courtyard and working for a bit on the WiFi. Mic drop moment: the breakfast burrito has tater tots in it! Counter service is quick which is good because it gets busy at peak times. They recently added Apple Pay so that's huge for when you're just out and about. The inside space is loud but lots of seating for a quick meeting or snack with the kids - outside is much nicer with umbrellas, couches and a fire place! It's also walled so you're protected from the breeze off the river. Another plus is the playground right next door for the kids to work off their sugary treats!

The Dime is the perfect stop for everyday or your weekend! Many coffee choices! My favorite is the Dirty Chai Latte. Also, The Dime offers Smoothies for non-coffee or caffeine drinkers. The Dime has a full menu, fresh bakery items and many prep/grab and go items. The Dime offers GF rotating loaf and this pictured donut which is amazing, along with a few other GF options. There is also little gift ideas inside to grab. There is ample seating inside and outside! They also offer pickup ordering which is usually very busy! The atmosphere is great because of the variety in seating plus a little walking path/green area next door for use as well! The location is beautiful next to the water! It's a must stop on our weekends! Ample parking lot across the green area.

I thought it was time for an update! I come to Dime weekly, and I will say while the drinks are still hit or miss on occasion, the staff is always absolutely wonderful! Would recommend if you're in the area, but be prepared for longer lines on the weekend.

Love the DIME! Got A smoothie and while it felt (slightly) overpriced it was absolutely delicious. Friends got a yummy iced tea and coffee. Great spot & location!

Beautifully located by the water, The Dime is a great coffee and snack spot. None of the menu options caught my eyes food wise, they have sandwiches, toasts, pizza, etc. I got a matcha latte with oatmilk + a honey cupcake with earl grey frosting, which was delightful. The frosting was delish, and honey cupcake tasted like a dense honey cornbread. Made for a great combo. Ambience is super cute, with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Looking for a coffee shop where I could charge laptops and perhaps do some work, I did not find it in The DIME. It's a lovely spot and with the big windows on three sides, full of sunshine. But the tables in the center are without outlets and the folks inside are eating meals and drinking coffee. It's more "restaurant" than "coffee shop." I had a cortado while I pondered the next step. No complaints and still five stars - the coffee was excellent and it's a great location. Just not one that's good for working. [Review 19456 overall - 1030 in South Carolina - 426 of 2023.]

The Dime is 10/10 for breakfast + lunch and a perfect place to get work done or meet up with a friend. The staff is sooo kind and friendly. I typically go for coffee and to work- the breakfast burrito is insanely good. Their wood-fired pizza is the best on DI. We love the margarita pizza & the fig and prosciutto. Could not recommend this place enough! Indoor and outdoor seating also.

We stopped into The Dime after dining at the Kings Tide. This was a beautiful little shop with coffee, chai, a variety of teas, and assorted snacks. Because we had already eaten, we just grabbed chai and a tea. My husband loved his chai, and I loved my tea. The tea I chose was Chamomile Rose. A unique flavor. that was perfect for the cold weather day. There is a wonderful little park nearby with trails and great views! The atmosphere is a fun little spot, busy but not overall noisy. We also went on a weekend so this might change. Please note that there were a couple pups inside so it appears to be pet friendly. We are cool with that but be aware Service was fast and friendly. We'd definitely return and try other goodies!

I'm always looking to try places I haven't been to yet so after I finished an early morning appt on DI I was looking for a new-to-me coffee shop. I walked into The Dime and was surprised by how big it was. We were about to get a big storm and folks were hunkering down so it wasn't very busy. I decided that I deserved a bagel sandwich to go with my coffee so I ordered a mocha and a pork roll, egg, and cheese on a bagel. I sat with my coffee and waited for my sandwich to go. I noticed that they have a beautiful pizza oven and you could watch the chef make the breakfast choices. I didn't even realize they did pizza as well. I love that the sandwich came out of that oven because it had a nice crunch on the outside of the bagel even after I got it back to my house. Now I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.

I had a great experience here! I enjoy the seasonal lattes a lot and the avocado toast was great. Dani at the register was super helpful with helping me pick an option for my meal and attentive to dietary redirections. I love the interior of the restaurant, and the location is beautiful and scenic. A staple on DI that I will definitely return to!

I removed most of the burnt areas but I think that's what still made me nauseous.

Went to Daniel Island with my daughter to pick up her glasses. Lunchtime and hunger hit us. She mentioned a Wood fired pizza place-Dime, so we decided to try it out. Placed our order at the register with very friendly server. People were in and out and we were served rather quickly after we decided on our drinks-many kinds available including FROSE', sandwiches & pizzas. Rather pricey! Gluten free options are available. Inside & Outside seating is available. It was a nice sunny day so patio seating was perfect. Good thing the patio was perfect because the food-not so much. The two that had Gluten free pizza had slightly undercooked pizzas. Mine however was definitely NOT undercooked, more like WOOD FIRED-burnt! Not sure if the oven needs to be cleaned ever so often but for your hands to be blackened after picking up your pizza is not a good sign. No pictures were taken which was unfortunate! Seeing is believing! From reading others reviews, looks as if coffee and pastries are your best bet. Handicap parking is available. Beautiful view of the waterfront park areas.

Always a sure thing for coffee or a bite to eat when on Daniel Island. Although not on the beaten path, go ahead and give it a go.

This store is so cute and relaxing to be in! There's a café/bar with a wide variety that isn't obnoxiously expensive and plenty of great books to choose from (and thankfully no Booktok section or ugly stickers covering gorgeous covers). There's a comfy seating area to read your book of choice and enjoy a delicious beverage. There's also plenty of unique and creative bookish gifts to get for your loved ones. Kind staff, clean place (including the bathrooms) and a great selection to choose from. 100% recommend!

I was charged for items that I never ordered or received. For example, I ordered a simple Americano and was charged for cold foam that was never requested and never provided. I strongly encourage everyone to review their receipt carefully before paying because my bill included charges that didn't match what I actually received. I also witnessed behavior toward customers that was completely unacceptable. One customer accidentally clogged the restroom, immediately informed the staff, and apologized. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the customer was mocked and humiliated. I personally heard the owner say, "Wow, the big fat guy took a dump," directly in reference to that customer. There is absolutely no excuse for treating someone with that level of disrespect. On another occasion, I witnessed customers being subjected to racist language. No business should ever make customers feel unwelcome or degraded. I also found it misleading that pastries were advertised as coming from local bakeries when that did not appear to reflect reality. Combined with the significant markup, it left me feeling that customers were being misled about what they were paying for. After everything I experienced--the questionable billing practices, the disrespectful treatment of customers, and the overall lack of professionalism--I cannot recommend this business. There are plenty of local coffee shops that value honesty, integrity, and treating people with basic human decency. I suggest supporting one of them instead like the Tracer waypoint coffee bar.
