Great spot to hangout and work! They had tons of different seating options and plenty of tables. There was also seating at the bar. Was not impressed with their market price drip coffee, it tastes like the beans from Costco (which are fine for the price you pay at Costco) and was not a fan of their variety of pastries (looks like ones from a grocery store). I would not come here again. read more

Not bad at all. However, I did walk in to have a coffee and a savory snack which they didn't offer so I opted for tea. After I sat down I noticed three different random people walking by stop in to ask for coffee or espresso. Lots of foot traffic with the neighboring restaurants and the cafe could def benefit from offering coffee after 5pm. read more

This is my new favorite coffee shop!! I use this as a study spot, but there is plenty of socialization without being too loud to focus. There is tons of seating (tables, booths, seating at the bar, etc). The employees are all so kind, and they even ask you to taste your coffee before you leave to make sure you like it. I've tried a few different lattes and they have all been amazing. It also has a free parking lot outside which is a rarity in downtown Charleston. I can't begin to describe what an exceptional experience we had at Blum today! I was looking for a special space to host my daughter's graduation party. I thought that planning such a special event from10 hours away would be difficult but Maureen and Leeanne made it incredibly easy and stress free both prior to and on the day of the event. The space is gorgeous and has the perfect layout and flow. Their drinks and food are delicious but the customer service and genuine joy they exude make this shop a step above all of the rest. I enthusiastically recommend Blum for a great cup of coffee and/or breakfast but also as a venue for a party or meeting. read more

Came to Charleston for the weekend and found this coffee shop walking distance from my hotel. We were immediately greeted by Beverley who has unmatched energy. She was funny, engaging and beyond helpful. She offered a level of customer service that would immediately make me a regular if I lived here. We ordered the Blueberry Cobbler Latte and MoCoconut Latte. Both were really good. The blueberry cobbler latte taste exactly like a blueberry muffin. On our visit we tried out the Passionfruit Matcha. It was refreshing, light and not too sweet. Shout out to Beverley for these amazing drinks. There's plenty of space with beautiful plants everywhere you look. The greenery is a nice touch. If you love good coffee, great service and cool plants, this is the spot for you. Now that I have been a couple of times, I will finally write a review haha They don't take names or provide numbers for your coffee order, which has not been an issue for me, as it wasn't crazy crowded when I've stopped in for late afternoon caffeine pick-me-ups! They don't have a huge list of flavors, but my most recent order was an iced salted caramel latte. I'm a fan. The previous time I was provided a large glass, as it was to enjoy while there, but my most recent visit, I was given a regular plastic, to-go cup. I preferred the glass, but the coffee was still tasty either way. They don't seem to have a ton of food options, but I did buy a brownie once and it was delicious! I just wouldn't plan for a meal here. The other half of the space is the wine/beer bar. I tried a cider during one visit, but I am definitely a coffee over alcohol person, so it's probably going to remain the reason for my visits. They have lots of tables/chairs, some couches, and a large bar, which I always see a ton of people (seem to be students) there working. They have games/cards to play, if interested, as well. Overall, it's a cute spot with a nice little variety of drink options and they have parking, which is really nice if you're able to find an open spot. read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shops, located further down on Meeting Street. Their space is the biggest in downtown that I've seen, and they offer free parking and Wi‑Fi. If the lot fills up, there's paid parking right across the street on the grassy area. I ordered their matcha latte with oat milk, and it was delicious, more matcha than I usually get at other cafes, which I'm not complaining about. My friends ordered chai, and they said it was the best chai they've ever had. I'll have to come back later in the day for their wine bar. Service was great, and the baristas remembered me since I've been there many times. The space is generally quiet, with people wearing headphones and working on their laptops. read more

I haven't had an issue with parking thankfully as they do have a small lot. The workers have always been kind and the atmosphere is great. Not dead silent but not hectic. The drinks have always been a hit for me. I ordered an iced Dubai pistachio and chocolate latte - amazing and refreshing. Not a super big coffee girl but this did hit the spot. 4 stars because parking spaces designated to Blum are limited. I asked if it was ok that I parked in an unmarked spot and the barista said "They don't typically tow until after closing". So, let's hope for the best?! Love that you can bring your own cup and receive a discount and there is ample space to work for a while. The Chai latte was good. On the sweeter side. The wine cooler by the bathroom is noisy, so I'd sit on the other side if you want to avoid the noise of it kicking on and off while you are there. read more

Phoebe, the barista, went out of her way to talk about the space and their pastries with me (the blueberry muffin was the perfect rec), while also graciously attending to the residents coming in for their morning cup before heading out for the day. The service is great, I've been twice now and loved both baristas. My issue is that the wifi never seems to be working properly--this could be a me issue, but it's happened twice, so I'm not sure. I had a pistachio latte, and, to be blunt, it is not the best in the city, especially for the price (about a dollar more than my fave in the city). The atmosphere is great, if the wifi issue wasn't a problem, I would work here on weekends regularly, despite the slight price increase in coffee. read more

My first time at Blūm and I'll definitely be back. I needed to get some work done on my laptop and loved the amount of space inside. They have tables, couches, counters and so many windows to fill the space with natural light. Absolutely perfect place to get some work done, meet friends for coffee, having a little reading date or even a date date. I ordered an iced chai latte with oat milk and you save $0.50 if you bring your own cup or use one of their glasses to stay in the store. I wish they had soy milk and maybe make the switch to not charge for milk alternatives but I understand. The staff was kind and the space was very quiet for all the people working. Very trendy coffee bar with plenty of space for groups. Coffee was good. Didn't really have much of a selection for food... A few muffins and some prepackaged salads and sandwiches. They need to fix the ordering process because they only take the type of drink order and not include a name and too many people order the same type of drink and it can be very confusing. I had to go up a couple of times to find out what happened to my drink as people that came in after me got their drinks before me and the barista basically lost my drink order. However, the staff was very friendly and kind. Parking was difficult due to construction. So we had to park in the garage down on Columbus Street. read more

Parking was a real challenge to get intoBlum. There's a lot of construction going on all around this area but if you live within the walking distance, it's a great place to go. They have a nice outdoor seating space as well as a more upscale indoor space prices are a little high, but that's to be expected in downtown Charleston. The baked goods were good nothing over the top but good. My latte was made well and with the correct milk choice. There service was polite and inviting however they need to learn to process orders as they come in and not jump all around there were people who came in well behind us who were getting their own drink orders before we were. read more
