Queen Street Grocery is a quaint little breakfast and lunch spot nestled in the french quarter neighborhood. It's super popular, so be prepared to wait a bit for your food! There also is not a ton of seating, although we got lucky enough to snack a picnic table on their back patio. They had a range of sweet and savory crepes, and plenty of veggie options. I went sweet with brie and strawberries. They really loaded it up! I think it could've used a sauce and was going to ask for maple syrup, but it was so busy that I didn't bother. The crepe was also more crispy than I'm used to. I also had a smoothie here that was pretty good. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Famous for their crepes, queen street grocery is quite the hidden neighborhood gem! The crepes were freshly made on the spot with prime ingredients and large portions of good veggies, turkey, ham, and chunks of Brie! We tried the St. Helena, Murray, and Pawleys. Each was uniquely delicious, with the Murray being the star. The pesto was so good! Perhaps this restaurant would be better for taking orders to go, as the restaurant doesn't have the homiest feel in the seating area. There's also a large selection of locally made beers, sours, and seltzers in stock. We tried a kombucha that was locally made, and it was quite tasty! Parking is street parking in the neighborhood.

Overall: A charming neighborhood spot to scratch plenty of breakfast or lunch itches. The good: Fun atmosphere with lots of art and character; it definitely has a local vibe. Plenty to choose from on the menu with crepes, salads, sandwiches, and more. The cuban was crispy, hot, and stacked and certainly wards off a hangover, while the nutella crepe was filled with a generous amount of filling and delicious raspberries. Free coffee refills too! The not-so-good: Food isn't mind-blowing (cuban was a tad burnt) and the prices are a little much. Bathroom is cramped and uninviting. Service wasn't bad by any means, but wasn't very friendly either. Hours don't reflect what's on Yelp (close by 3 on a Sunday one visit that we tried). Food/drink: 8/10 Atmosphere: 8.5/10 Service: 8/10

This is the Murray that was supper good.

This restaurant was so, so, so good! Queen Street offers all of their selections for breakfast and lunch. We ordered The Mt. Pleasant, The Sullivan, and The Murray crepes, and a Bee smoothie. It was all very filling and delicious. The staff was kind and answered menu questions. The restaurant was decorated with funky with pictures and paintings. Just don't count on this cute little restaurant for a bathroom...it was pretty hidden, small, and sort of dirty.

There is a reason this has stood for 100 years; quality, variety and comfort. Queen Street Grocery has been part of the downtown narrative for so long and it just fits. From the amazing crepes to the just as amazing smoothies, you will leave satisfied!

I went here with some friends since had good reviews and it didnt disappoint! Sandwich was huge and good portion for the price which was about right for the area. Some seating inside and outside but seems more of a grab and go spot. Nice variety of menu items, would go back.

Great hole in the wall... the food was great, service was quick, and the feel of the place is so cool. The coffee station was cool and the cups were even cooler, It's a self serve station and great coffee.

I love the spot! It's been around for a while and it's nestled in an off the beaten path but close by King Street. I had the Murray and it was off the chain good. My father had a smoothie and Tuna melt. Everything had great flavors. On street parking always keeps it interesting but hey, that's Charleston.

Their crepe with fresh berries and brie cheese was delicious! The only thing they were missing is fresh orange juice .

Outdoor patio area for grabbing a quick bite!

Great little neighborhood "grocery" and cafe serving breakfast and lunch everyday. I usually hit QSG for breakfast and love their breakfast sandwich consisting of scrambled egg, cheddar/lettuce and tomato on a lightly toasted croissant. Always done to perfection. There are several seating options ~ inside with large and smaller tables and a counter area and in the front and back of the cafe. When returning from long walk I'll stop in and order one of their smoothies, which always hits the spot and is an excellent refresher on a hot day! The staff is friendly and efficient and deliver your food to your table. The coffee machine located in back of the main dining area is self-serve so refills are not a problem. I've noted that the lunch salads seem sufficient in size and all fresh and local ingredients are used here. Of course the usual sandwich favorites are offered as well. Always a pleasure to visit and quick and easy to get in and out of I'd recommend QSG ~ can get busy at noon and lunchtimes but it's worth the wait and worth the stop!

Fun and funky spot with a rich history. The service was great, order at counter and they bring it out to ya. There is lunch counter seating mixed with brightly painted tables, both inside and out. Very casual place. The people watching was great as the slammin' food attracts all types. We spent $35 plus tip for 2, got the El Cubano Sammy and the Edisto Crepe. Sandwich came with chips, crepe with delish greens and balsamic dressing. We each had a bottled soda too. Portions are very generous too. Great place to check out downtown/college area.

Queen Street Grocery is a small, historic establishment located within walking distance from downtown Charleston. We stopped by for an early lunch and, thankfully, were able to get an outdoor table (they only have a couple available). The lunch menu features a variety of deli style sandwiches and salads. My wife ordered the Hail Caesar (Chicken, Parmesan, Croutons, Romaine and Caesar Dressing). I went with the El Cuban (Pulled Pork, Ham, Swiss, Dijon Mustard, Dill Pickle on a Cuban Roll). Both of meals were delicious - the food was fresh and flavorful. I would have liked to see the portions be slightly larger, even if it meant the prices being a tad bit higher; however, we enjoyed our first experience and would visit again.

Do they use oil to cook crêpes?

We have a Krampouz crepe maker and use pam to soften the surface. No oil is added to the crepe maker.

I have been living in Charleston since 2010 and have been looking for a French restaurant for years. One day while walking around the French Quarter I noticed a quaint lil French bistro and put it on my "gotta try" list. So I came to see what all the 5 star reviews were about and boy was I disappointed from the get go. I try my best not to judge a book by its cover and lemme tell you I'm not scared of whole in the walls and the gems in different hodgepodge places, if it's got good eats, I'm there. I usually will try a restaurant 3 times before writing a review but helllllll no. The food and experience was so bad y'all! I have to tell you about my experience NOW while the bad taste is still in my mouth! I ordered the soup of the day which was she crab soup and a baguette. I thought cool French baguette is my fave and how could you go wrong with soup. No, I got 2 small slices of stale baguette top with some kind of cheese like a lunchable you can get at the grocery store and soup that was too salty to eat! So I said let me try something that you can't mess up. A croissant! A chocolate one well they messed that up too! How can you get a croissant wrong, and it was store bought croissants! Yuck! From a FRENCH restaurant, not made in house but if I'm wrong then those were the worst croissants ever!!!!!! Please people don't eat here! The serve staff did not greet us, ignored us and asked a white patron about his party of guests even though we were there 10 minutes before and the host knew he did wrong for asking to seat the other guy before acknowledging us because he caught my stare and we locked eyes and I did not back down or break the eye contact to let him know, yea fellow you totally ignored me for 10 minutes and asked the other guy how many in his party 1st! Even after the poor service I was dealt with in the beginning I still wanted to give it a chance, but after hearing how the wait staff addressed other patrons about how short staff they were and how horrible they had to do so many things I about had it. I was looking forward to a hot fresh French press coffee and was let down again. Weakest French press coffee just take my advice and walk swiftly past this whole in the wall. I can't believe this place is still open after so many years. Really Charlestonians!?! Really? I know we have more restaurants per square capita but this one has got to go. We ate some food because we were shopping and so hungry, but after that we paid and left fast

We came for breakfast and started with the banana bread with Nutella cream cheese -- absolutely incredible. We also split the cornmeal pancakes, which were so good we came back the next morning just to have them again. I ordered the B.E.C. with the home fries, and I can honestly say they may have been the best potatoes I've ever had in any form. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and they practically melted in my mouth. My husband had the turkey club and said it was fantastic as well. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and memorable. We loved it so much we went back the very next day. 10/10 -- highly recommend if you're visiting Charleston!

Everything was pretty standard and there was not something that we absolutely loved. The grits were a heavier dish while the avocado on the toast was more like a spread. The chicken and waffle salad had waffle "croutons" but it kind of just tasted like an older waffle dried up. The chicken in the salad was a little thicker than it should have been. The pimento cheese and crackers were very tasty. The ambiance is fast casual and it is very hush there. Our server Hamilton was very kind and helpful.
