We stopped in after a cheer competition and I cannot say enough about the food and service. If you like fried pickles, the pickle fries are an absolute must and the the dirty bird nachos were so delicious!!! The ambiance is is fun and trendy but the wait stuff really won is over. Oh My Gosh! The food here is phenomenal ! No kidding, their chicken tenders are the best I've ever had! The taste and consistency were out of this world "delicious"! We were a table of 4 adults and a baby! The waitress, though I can't remember her name, she was awesome! She was also hysterical! We'd asked her for a family photo and when she was done she told us to "look for a surprise later!" We'll she'd taken a silly selfie and it was there waiting for us! Oh My Gosh! Everything about this place from beginning to end and in between, went really well!! We even asked for a gift card for this restaurant and we live an hour away! The servers are always super friendly and helpful; even during this second shutdown due to Covid. We support this local business by doing takeout and the food and people do not disappoint. Given the menu, I was pleasantly surprised with the dirty bird. The (mostly greasy) menu items all had chicken, hence the name. Being a vegetarian I had to get a bit creative. The staff was very willing to recreate the Philly with no cheese, and give me the chicken on the side for someone else at my table to eat. The veggies were very well seasoned (although a bit oily) and the curly fries were delicious! We also tried to get fried pickles, which weren't available, and instead got onion rings and fries mushrooms. There are plenty of street parking spots available, without charge. read more

Stopped in during a visit to the area. Only ordered take out but what we did order, boy howdy was it good! We got the boneless wings with Dirty Bird sauce and the pretzel bites with beer cheese. The chicken was perfectly cooked with not too much breading and the sauce was amazing. Great flavor and it didn't over power. The pretzel bites were perfectly salted and the cheese was good. Great beer flavor to complement the cheese. Overall a great experience. And that was just from take out. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. Nice inside. Decor is fun. Food was good. Service was less than satisfactory. We were greeted promptly and taken outside to the deck. Once our drinks were brought to us our waitress disappeared for quite awhile. Almost long enough that we contemplated leaving. Finally she showed up and took our order. A friendly young man brought our food. As we were eating, our waitress finally appeared with plates and napkins and mumbled something. We were quite puzzled by this. We ended up having to ask another waitress for our check because our waitress disappeared again. She reappeared with an iced tea to go. I think she realized we were neglected the whole time. It's all chicken and I've had better. The price is good and the food is ok. It's not a Popeyes chicken sandwich but it's better than KFC

We were new to Dirty Bird , we had heard from friends that they were pretty good. So we tried to call are order in but they were not answering so we drove downtown and ordered 20 chicken Wings bone in 10 with BBQ sauce and 10 With the Bacon Sauce The BBQ wings were good the Bacon ones did not have much flavor. My friends had quesadillas, a salad, and the poo boy as well. Everyone loved the food! Our server was terrific, very friendly, and super informative and attentive! We had a lot of fun with him! I'm a fried chicken fanatic, I search it out when I travel. The Dirty Bird has some of the best fried chicken strips I have ever had. The breading is nicely spiced and they are moist and juicy. With the 5 piece meal it's a generous portion with your choice of fries and an apple slaw. The fries and slaw are also excellent. I'm not a big ranch fan, but their Cajun Ranch is fantastic. I love this place! I've been to Jackson a few times recently to visit family, and I cannot get enough of Dirty Bird's chicken! The tenders are incredibly moist and the seasoning is perfect!
