The guy got my order wrong. Did wheat bread when I asked for white. Asked him to redo it and he didn't even respond, proceeded to remake my sub but clearly didn't try to make it well. It was ridiculously sloppy and cold. I was the only one in the place and it took 15 minutes just to get the 1st sub. Horrible experience. read more

Meatball sub as delicious as the pizza melt but I did not enjoy trying to eat my lunch with not 1 dog but 2 dogs barking in the restaurant and management won't let workers say --it's a health violation to bring non service dogs in restaurants! It has been my go-to fast food restaurant nationwide for over 10 years. I have eaten there hundreds of times -- and I get the same thing EVERY time. I love their meatball sandwich with extra sauce, Italian seasoning lettuce, and tomatoes. When I stopped today to a rather empty store, I noticed what seems to be a new staff. No worries, or so I thought. I ordered my sandwich, as always, and slid down the counter. They I was asked what sandwich I ordered. and I said a meatball with extra sauce. He grabbed my sandwich, and I told him that I wanted seasoning, lettuce, and tomato. I looked over the counter and noticed a dry sandwich. I asked if it had extra sauce as I requested, someone (a manager, I think) behind the guy said that they were low on sauce. I said I had not been told and asked if it had any sauce, and was told it was under the meatballs. As he flipped the sandwich to wrap it, it OBVIOUSLY did not have any sauce AT ALL. When I asked to see the sauce, he told me "It would be an inconvenience to open the sandwich" for me. I told him that it would be an inconvenience for me to buy something that I do want to eat. I walked out! All of this in context, it appears the old staff all likely quit because they can see the writing on the wall. It also seems obvious that the managers are training these new employees to lie, and cut costs. I also noticed a half-raw tray of bacon splayed on the counter that looked rather gross. I presume it was served to some other unlucky soul after I left. I feel sorry for them! And also for anyone who owns a gift card who will be unable to spend it in Jackson soon. I have seen this all before! With a brand new Chick-fil-a less than 1/2 mile away, loaded with happy and shiny people, it is destiny! read more

Dang this food is good! The Mac n cheese is really good. The workers are very nice! Never had such good food.

The food is very good, but also very pricey. Staff is hit or miss on the kind of service you get. All in all not bad.

Went through the drive thru 8/16 at 11am. I told lady my order and she left out the soup. When we got to the window I was missing my chips. She shoved the bag of food at me and didn't say "have a good day" or even hello. I pulled around again to get my chips and she just shoved those in my face and closed the window. Love potbelly's but sadly this one was just dry and burnt bread sadly. They were slammed at the lunch hour but I still demolished it and it tasted fine but not worth the 35$ these days. Oreo milkshake was quite amazing I must add. read more

I have just discovered how wonderful the food is at the Jackson, mi Potbelly sandwich shop! Where have you been all my life? The chicken salad sandwich is perfect! It tastes homemade and all of the soups are delicious, too! My husband loves the hand dipped chocolate shakes..and the cookies are super. I can't say enough about the quality ingredients used to make everything. The bacon is very high quality and the chicken is so tasty. I am a very good customer...0lease do not retire the chain. I sent a complaint to the Potbelly website about the store in Jackson, MI months ago. I did not get my concerns addressed and got the run around and slightly nasty response when I tried to follow up. I like the food but will not be frequenting this establishment based on the treatment I received from the website. They are lacking critical customer service skills. read more

I grew up in Royal Oak and loved all the great places you could find to eat there and was so happy to find Potbellies open up in Jackson over the last year. The food is fresh and the broccoli cheddar soup is honestly the best I've tasted. Sadly they do run out because it's so good they can't keep up with orders. But no worries because all their soups and sandwiches are excellent. We've eaten inside which is very clean and the staff are very good. It does take a bit longer to get your food but I find the food here a higher standard then fast food and I do believe you get what you pay for. I'd rather pay more for quality food then your standard fast food you get in the area. If you aren't worried about carbs or calories then for sure try one of their yogurt or ice cream smoothie read more

Potbelly is new to Jackson. I wouldn't say it's a new food type to our area but their quality of ingredients are better than some of the other chain sandwich shops. It's pretty cool looking inside and they do have a drive-through! I was able to get my food and get through the line pretty quick! Overall a good addition to the Jackson area! read more

The food here is delicious, but the service is lacking. Each time I have gone, the staff messed up my order and were very slow at both the drive-thru and at the counter inside. Food is fair but the staff was pitiful. There were only two customers in the place and I was left standing waiting for someone to take my order. Not impressive with at least 4 people behind the counter and the other customer already had their food. When I went pay for my order I had repeat everything to the person that took my money. That person gave my soup so I sat down. For some reason the person that took my order did do any thing with it. I had to repeat everything again to the person who took my money and that person made my food. I was beginning to wonder where my food was when I noticed a bag on the counter. I was at a table that was directly across from the cash register. The person who made it didn't say a thing just tossed it up there when done. This gives you an idea as to how friendly the staff was. I will come back to this location. I've be been here twice and service was poor on both occasion. A customers should not be treated like they are inconvenience the staff.
