We got there earlier than most and, despite the many reservations, the staff (specifically, Amirah) accommodated our (many) requests.

After a little searching, I came across Elevar Wynwood and I'm glad I did. One of the first things I appreciated was finding parking right out front. The rooftop sits atop the AC Hotel Miami Wynwood and offers a spacious, clean, and well lit atmosphere. The views are decent and the overall setup is impressive. There are plenty of tables, comfortable lounge areas, a full bar, a grill, cabanas, a pool, and even additional lounge space to spread out and relax. What surprised me most was that it was not overly busy for a Saturday night, which made for a more laid back experience. My bartender, whose name I unfortunately forgot, was excellent. She was sweet, personable, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout the evening. We only stopped in for drinks. I ordered the Bourbon Night, made with Bulleit Bourbon, raspberry, peach, orange bitters, and rosemary. It was flavorful, balanced, and definitely had a solid bourbon kick. My friend ordered the Paloma, which comes with tequila, grapefruit, lime, and grapefruit soda. He later switched to a vodka version and enjoyed that one even more. Overall, we had a great time. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was excellent, and the venue offers much more than just drinks. If you are looking for a rooftop spot in Wynwood that is comfortable, clean, and not overly crowded, this is worth checking out. I would absolutely come back, and after seeing the property, I would even consider staying at the hotel on a future trip.

I had the carne asada tacos which were grilled in front of me - they were fresh and flavorful! The food is cooked to order on a small grill, so if it's busy it would take a while to get food. Also, they seem to run out of items, like guacamole. Pro: fresh! Con: limited.

So a tikeasy!…read moreSure, it took a couple of tries, and maybe asking the wait staff at the Irish bar next door, where the tikeasy was hiding. You enter an immersive world that really outshines any tiki bar to which I've ever been. The magic radiates out of every nook and cranny. That was complimented by our bartender, Billy, knocking out some perfect killer classics, like a real Mai Tai, and Navy Grog, that, post the 1950s became kind of sugar filled, over-the-top mockeries of the Tiki cocktail arts. No mockery here. Just the old school magic. It's a very analog, and thankfully honest, unhipster revival for a generation who knows not of Bali Hai, Don the Beachcomber, the Mai Kai, and San Francisco's once-great, now seedy Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar, at the Fairmont Hotel, on Nob Hill. The crowd, including the regulars, were a lot of fun. In all, a really awesome evening! Five stars, for all of that, and a sixth for the memories.

And best of all the staff is really excited and genuinely happy to bring the tiki experience to their customers. But, really, it's more than just a special place. When I came last weekend the vibes were great, it was just extremely packed to the point that everyone was grinding up against each other. Which in that moment I didn't care because I figured it's at capacity and that's normal. Although, I realized when I was leaving the bar that someone had opened my purse and taken my entire wallet. I was bummed because I couldn't continue partying up the night. This led me to message them on Instagram, which was great because they told me to come in and drinks would be on them for the inconvenience. We got to the bar and I spoke with the bouncer and he said to go to the bartenders, that they would direct me to Rensel the bar manager. He was absolutely lovely, provided my friends and I a round of cocktails and told us to look for Sophia for another round. We didn't end up getting another round because we were exhausted from dancing the night away. It was still very nice and accommodating that they did that and we appreciated it. Sophia was very bubbly and attentive as well. Overall, if you are looking for a bar with a disco ball!! This is a cool spot to come to, they have so many different specialty cocktails. They are all delicious and unique! The music is great, the dj really keeps the crowd moving. For parking, there is a lot in the back of the establishment or street parking as well.

Loved the comfortable lounge like seating and scannable menus. The Sylvester has a great happy hour. Great cocktails, wine and beer choices. Looking at the menu, they have interesting cocktails. Seems like they put a spin on the traditional mixtures. Two that stood out to me were the whiskey sour and French martini. Delicious mixtures by bartender Robby. He was attentive and able to answer questions about their cocktail twist. Especially loved that he mentioned their 18% gratuity was already added to the check. We added a little something extra just for honesty :-D Overall loved The Sylvester. Great service, delicious drinks and in my opinion, perfect ambiance.
