It was Bossa Nova night at the AC Hotel. The Rooftop is nice, a bit small. Service is good. The appetizers were delicious and the best thing is that they were not too expensive. I thought it was nice that They even gave us a complimentary glass of Prosecco before the show started. The band did an awesome job that night. It was a lot of fun. The whole thing lasted like an hour. Music sounded great, view was nice.

False advertising! Spent $500 food was cold entertainment was not that. No VIP area! I don't recommend going when you expect a luxurious night and there were kids running around! I attempted to work out something with manager. I got no respect for the $500 invested! Elevar Wynwood

So after a yelp review of the tapas scene, I landed at Bulla Gastrobar in Coral Gables. A slight drive from the downtown area but proved to be so worth it. Once we arrived we were seated immediately and greeted by our beautiful, friendly and knowledgeable server Melody. After she explained the menu and made recommendations, she offered to course our plates out accordingly so it wouldn't arrive all at once. Five stars to Melody for taking great care of us. Now to the food... We started things off with the pan con tomate with Serrano Ham and manchego cheese. Although this is a staple of tapas dining in Spain I had never tried it and was impressed with the depth of flavor and the different notes that it offered. It was excellent and I highly recommend it. Next was the gambas al ajillo which are broiled shrimp in a garlicky pepper butter sauce. These were also excellent, so much so we ordered another batch, Then we tried the Albondigas which were Pork and beef meatballs, with manchego, tomate sauce. These were good but proved to be our least favorite of everything we tried. Next was the datiles rellenos which were bacon wrapped dates with a small salad. These were very good Lastly we ordered the Serrano ham croquettes which came with a wonderful fig jam. These proved to steal the show. Hands down 5 stars! Because it was happy hour until 7pm, I got a Spanish beer (Mahou) and a wonderful glass of Malbec for $6 each. The total bill for all this before tip was $112 which was well worth it for an extraordinary meal with great variety. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I came for the World Cup final game and it was so packed that I was in disbelief when the hostess found me a small table all the way in the back with unobstructed view of one of the TVs. Anyways, the Serrano ham croquettes are one of their specialties so I don't have to elaborate on that because I'm sure most of you have already tried them. They just melt in your mouth and you end up ordering more, right? RIGHT. The same goes for the Spanish omelette. One of their signature dishes and one they do really well here. Now as far as the cochinillo hash, I had mixed feelings about it. Take the potatoes and poached egg out of the equation, the braised shredded pork was either overcooked or maybe even burned a little. It was super dry and if it weren't for the egg I think I would have not been able to eat even half of it. It had a bitter after taste. Maybe I should've said something but it was too hectic in there to say the least. Perhaps I should've give it another chance. Ended with their famous and arguably one of the most delicious churros in town and it was all washed down with their refreshing red sangria.

While most of the South Beach restaurants are loud and crowded, this one is quiet and classy! The dining room has an old world charm and art deco vibe. The food was exquisite ! We loved their rib eye steak and short ribs. They were prepared just right and the portion size was great! To me, the short ribs can feed two people (as long as you are not big eaters). Service was marvelous as well. Our server Laura was graceful and attentive. The manager also came out to greet us and shared some history of the place with us. Overall a wonderful dining experience at a price point that I consider very reasonable for the quality and ambiance they offered!

After looking at the reviews I presented Mareva 1939 as my top choice. I contacted them and made a reservation for 10 people, and after the first reservation time I had to adjust with Mareva for people arriving in late because of flights. No problem for Mareva and they didn't need a deposit for the restaurant. It is in the National Hotel, next to where we are staying box 1 check. The place was beautifully decorated and staff all attentive throughout the night. That was my criteria not my boss' since the lack of good service can destroy a great meal. The food choices all were excellent but centered on tapas and Spanish cuisine which checked the second box. Served family style we all chose a number of different tapas and shared. Then large patella dishes, they were plentiful and all delicious. Lastly the price, which may seem high for those outside the area but not for those who know Miami Beach. The bill for the 10 of us that included several drinks person and enough food and desserts to leave us full came to $1,002 including tip and taxes. All boxes checked and my boss and team happy, Mareva 1939 was a huge success.

The bartender was easy to talk to and gave a couple suggestions without making it feel like a sales pitch. Both dishes came out pretty quickly even though the place started filling up during happy hour. The bruschetta had a nice mix of sweet and savory, and the avocado toast was fresh without being overly dressed up. I liked the overall pace of the service since nobody rushed me to order more once I finished eating. Service was also very slow, even when it wasn't busy. Everything took longer than expected and seemed disorganized. On top of that, the bartender was rude and unwelcoming. I was also charged for another person's drink without being asked or informed; which was unacceptable and felt careless. The staff seemed "blind" to how to properly run a restaurant. For the prices being charged, I expected much better food, service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Revelry is definitely a unique spot with a really fun atmosphere. They have different seating areas, including couches and traditional tables, and there are also games you can take out and play. It feels like a great place to hang out with friends and spend a few hours. One of the highlights was the live music. They had two different bands performing, one from 12-2 and another from 2-4, so there was plenty of entertainment throughout brunch. Although this wasn't one of their regular burlesque brunches, they also had a burlesque dancer come out between the bands for a short performance, which was a fun surprise and added to the experience. The brunch menu had a nice variety, including shrimp and grits, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and vegetarian options. My friends and I all ended up ordering the chicken sandwich, which was really good! You can choose your side, and we went with the breakfast potatoes. They also have lots of specialty cocktails and drinks to choose from. The restaurant definitely got pretty busy as the afternoon went on, so I would recommend making a reservation, especially for Sunday brunch. Overall, Revelry is a fun and different place to enjoy brunch, live music, drinks, and time with friends. I really enjoyed the tiki theme and the lively atmosphere and would definitely come back!
