I have been a customer at this office for over 10 years but never thought of writing a review on yelp untill now, until I met Christine. She has provided me the best customer service I've ever experienced, and I don't just mean at a doctor's office. As an analytical person, I was doing some research to find out what type of lenses and coating I should opt out for my new pair of glasses. Normal sales staff would either try to sell me the premium package or just go with last year's order which is the easier approach. Christine not only has gone the extra mile contacting the lab to get technical specs for different lense materials, but also my insurance company to find out the details of coverage for different choices. In addition, she even helped me to get a set of replacement lenses for my old pair from last year free of charge. Came here for my eye exam a while back and the doctor was very nice (can't recall her name), the receptionist was whatever- I wanted either a print out of my eye exam or faxed over to the place where I got my lasik completed (due to my warranty, I have to have one yearly). Not sure why it was SO difficult to get my eye exam results faxed over but I finally obtained a copy myself and sent it in. I only gave this place a 5 star because of the doctor - couldn't lower a star grade just because of the receptionist - otherwise, it would have been a 2 or a 3 star. read more

Amazing, amazing! I went in to get new lenses for my glasses. Visited a few times (for inquiry, dropped off prescription, adjustment, etc) and had a chance to interact with 4 of their staff members. EVERYONE there is very friendly and helpful! A++ for customer service. They gave me an outstanding deal on the new lenses which really helped me out big time since I'm a broke grad school student. This place is a gem! I went to three stores prior to shopping here to find new glasses. Their selection is incredible. There are many designer brands (Cole haan, Oliver peoples, etc...) that I couldn't find at other larger stores. Everyone here is so helpful and patient. I had to re-do my glasses a few times as I got progressives and they are not easy to get use to. They were very patient and always explaining tips on adjusting to this change and anything else that would make my life easier. I have never had so much help from an optometrist office before. Horrible customer service, very disrespectful, they don't call you back you have to chase them down for a call return and they will argue with you and talk over you... to be exact the manager (Australian guy) im speaking about, he will hang up on if you try and tell him they made a mistake. Just poor customer service...he doesn't listen! So my story is We went to get an eye exam and contact exam and after letting them convince me to purchase my son's glasses there they ended up ordering the wrong pair and expected me to pay for them. Lucky for me the insurance company reversed my claim. However when i went to request my son's prescription for his contacts the manager refused to give it to me even though the insurance paid for the exam. The manager told me they are refusing to give me the contact prescription because we had the insurance reverse our claim for the glasses..... this said beware this eye place is money hungry and do not care about your needs (child or adult) and they will let you suffer if their staff makes a mistake...and the crazy thing about all this is after me telling the manager I ordered the same glasses for the last 4 years at target and never had any issue with the order he told me I was a lie and their staff didn't make any mistakes. Anyhow lucky for me Humana was on the phone with me going back with the provider and agreed they had horrible customer service and is willing to reverse everything for me so my son can get his prescription. read more

Best optometrist in town! I went in last year for the first time to get glasses and was AMAZED at their great selection of frames. Name it they probably carry it. Love that the location is very convinient. I cant say enough nice things about the staff. Everyone is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I was recently in to get fitted for contacts for the first time. Dr. Lieu was very patient and knew exactly the type on contacts would work best for me. After some research, I havent found any seller that matches their prices (they match costco). They will definitely be my go to optometrist for many years to come. I had the most wonderful experience with getting new glasses and refitted for my contact lenses here! I have not been to the eye doctor in some time and they made it such a stress-free environment. The office was VERY clean and there was extra steps being taken to ensure my health was taken care of. I want to give a shout out to Ted for being so kind and patient while I was choosing my new pair. He took so much time and let me try on what felt like hundreds of styles without ever feeling pressured or rushed. It seems like he knew the perfect pair for me after telling him what I was looking for as I ended up buying the first 2 pairs he handed me! He was also very helpful with helping me understand what my insurance was coving and what I was responsible for. Like I said before, I never felt pressured into spending more money than I needed to and he took great care of me when it came time to pay! Priced were super good too! My kids and I recently visited Dr. Yoo at the District Optometry. The staff and Dr. Yoo took their time to do a thorough exam. Dr. Yoo was very professional and took us step by step through the exam. My son was a bit hesitant in getting his pupils dilated, but she made him feel safe and walked him through the whole process. Came into District Eye Care on a whim and found a great optometrist and my new go-to place for my eye care. It is a small establishment, but by no means does that affect their selection. I quickly found the pair of glasses I wanted from the catalogue I perused weeks before, and after filling out some paperwork for the clerical staff (really friendly and easygoing by the way) I was given my standard checkup by Dr. Megan Lieu. She is a great optometrist, very professional and thorough with my checkup. I cannot express what a great experience I had. The best part was the efficiency of the entire staff. No lollygagging or random employees standing idly by (like some other locations I won't name). Definitely five stars for customer service. Will be coming again for all my eyewear needs! read more

A friend of mine went there to purchase 2 sets of frames. I was with her. I have about 20 years of sales experience. The salesperson fulfilled all the criteria of a professionally conducted sale. I could pretty much tell right away when I walk into a place and hear the first few sentences if they know what they are doing, and how much they care about what they do. I just know what to look for. Let me say that I wanted to nit pick this awesome record these folks have on Yelp, but I can't. There weren't even any fingerprints on the cases. The place in fact was immaculate in condition. It all looked brand new. I only have one suggestion... There is already probably more eyewear frames there than anywhere else in Orange County, but they don't carry everyone. There is room there for more frames. May as well carry everyone that makes eyewear frames. They are practically there anyway, only a few manufacturers left so might as well. read more

As a consumer I will naturally gravitate towards the lower price. Your staff is pleasant and the only downside to your office is the fees. Even though I am not an optometrist I know the difference between a $0 fee and a $100 fee regardless if it is being deducted from my insurance or out of pocket. read more

I was a first time customer of District Eye Care and unfortunately had a terrible experience with this facility. I bought a new pair of custom Oakley sunglasses and decided to have District Eye Care put in prescription lenses. Just before I was to pick up my order, District called me to tell me "some bad news" as they put it and that they would not be able to fulfill the 7-10 day period and needed more time. I said ok, no problem so I had to wait another 7-10 days. Toward the end of the second 7-10 day period they called me again, this time to tell me that the company they use for the Rx lenses "broke" my new glasses. District said they could call Oakley and have it replaced, I said ok no problem. I then get a call from District with as they said "some bad news", the sunglasses were no longer made but they could replace it with another pair of Oakley's. I told them I didn't like the other models but would try some out anyway to see if they fit. When I finally found a pair that I thought would look good, District then told me that Oakley was bringing back the style that was originally discontinued but would take a few weeks to get them in. I then get another call from District Eye Care and now they tell me they don't know when the replacement Oakley's would come in. So I went and bought another pair of sunglasses for them to put Rx lenses and the took a new 7-10 days to have done. This whole transaction started in the very beginning of March and we are now entering April. I finally just got my second sunglasses in but have absolutely no idea if or when I would get my replacement Oakley's back. As I communicated with the store manager and the owner to voice my displeasure with how they are handling my order, they seemed to talk over me as if my concern didn't matter. Come to find out, the second pair I had them fit for Rx lenses has the pupil distance too far that it actually makes me dizzy to use. I would strongly advise people to seek optometric care elsewhere. I can't even give District Eye Care a star because they broke my first pair of sunglasses and have yet to replace them and my second pair makes me dizzy to look through. Unbelievable. read more
