I've worn glasses for over 17 years.. I've had glasses made from Fedco (who remembers this place??) Costco, Online (Coastal), Lenscrafters.... and sadly this is by far the only place that I have been dissatisfied with. I got my frames from here, because I was specifically looking for TC Charton frames. Found a pair I loved & ended up getting my lenses done here. My glasses have been sent back TWO TIMES. I'm not sure what anti reflective coating they are using but it's horrible. Compared to all the other glasses I've had for YEARS, they are all still better than these. I've taken side by side pictures comparing them, and there's a definite difference. The experience has been frustrating, because not only do they not offer a refund on their items, satisfaction is NOT guaranteed. Funny enough, every time they are comparing my current glasses with their new ones, they compliment mine thinking it's theirs. How idiotic is that?? I thought supporting a smaller optometry place would be more beneficial than a larger chain, but I was wrong. I WANT TO WEAR MY GLASSES THAT I PAID FOR..... but yet its been going on for over a month, of sending them back and getting them back the same way. Five stars! Came across this place here on Yelp, and I'm so glad that I did. Everyone at The District Eye Care Optometry was so nice. My girlfriend came with me to help pick out my frames, and right when we got there we were offered coffee, tea, or cold drinks and they even let my girlfriend come into the room while I was having both my Pre-exam and the actual exam. Dr. Lori Yoo was very professional but also very friendly and incredibly accommodating. I really couldn't be happier with my choice of optometrist and I plan on going back again next year. read more

I love this place! Great atmosphere, the best selection of eyewear in the area, and super customer service. Reminded me a bit of my previous optometrist's store in Chicago that I miss dearly. I strolled in here randomly because I wanted to use my insurance frame allowance for the year, and was happy to find out that they took my insurance Blue View Vision. I am also picky about my eyewear, and I went to 3 other places in the neighborhood with a poor selection. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful, calling my insurance for me, and finding me the best pairs of glasses that fit my face well. I appreciated that she looked for a good fit for me, and not just grab the most expensive pair they had, nor did she try to rush me. Dr. Yoo is nice, professional, and gets the job done. She deserves 5 stars! However.... As for her assistant, the old Hispanic man...he's HORRIBLE!!! He calls me by the wrong name which I had to correct. Next, while he's doing my contact pre-exam, he forgets to do certain steps and is disorganized. He plays it off by laughing but to me, he was literally on my last nerve. Finally, which is the reason I will probably never return is when I was proceeding to check out, the old man tried to sell me a years worth of contacts so he can make sales and use all my insurance coverage. Ummm, I specifically stated I just wanted to get my contact prescription and maybe a box or two but again he sells me 6 months worth. So at that point I just wanted to leave because he's slow, stupid, or dumb to comprehend. Dr. Lori Yoo is fabulous. She treats you like her number one patient. I have never had to wait for an appointment they get me in immediately and once I arrive I NEVER have to wait!!! That is so hard to find. They respect my time and value my business. When Dr. Lori Yoo isn't busy with patients she even answers the phones to insure the clients in store are helped immediately by the other employees... So you are never left waiting around for someone to help you. They have THE best and hottest selection of frames from affordable lenses all the way up to high dollar designs. Crystal Rameriz has picked out all of my last frames for me!!! She looked at my face and knew exactly what would fit perfectly. They are constantly getting new frames in. I got some prescription sunglasses last year here. I took a script that was from another optometrist bec they they couldn't order Oakley's but District Eue took care of me. Then, recently I wanted to get a new pair of Ray Bans but I require Asian Fit. Nowhere online could I find anywhere it's in stock. I checked the chains nearby, no luck either. I emailed District Eye Care and I couldn't believe that not only do they carry my glasses they had it in store to try on. The staff set aside my glasses after talking over email. These guys rock! Entire staff is AWESOME and their selection of frames for Asian noses/bridges is also extensive and easy to find indicated with green dots on the glasses. The nicest optometrist office I have ever been too! The service is impeccable. Everyone is always so nice and offering me water. I even felt comfortable getting air blown into my eye (no one likes that test!). Dr. Lieu was very professional and explained everything she was doing. I never felt like she was in a rush to get me out. She too made me feel comfortable to ask any questions I may have. She gave me over a week supply of trial contacts (I wear daily disposable contacts) to make sure I liked the new prescription. Besides contacts, I wanted to change out the lens for my glasses. The staff took their time to explain my options and which ones they recommended for me. They even match costco pricing on contacts so that's a big plus! read more

I finalized my eye exam including the dilation and pressure tests for both contact lenses and glasses. I ordered my dailies True Eyes contacts and love them! I have been using an Optometry in upper Orange County for few years now (bit far now and was fairly expensive for both frames and lens) and a colleague of mine recommended District Eye Care Optometry, so I gave them a try. I arrived nearly end of day for the business, but Christine took care of me with no rush at all. I did not require a new full exam as I was not due quite yet. They recommended options for glasses as well as fitting adjustments for the frame. Surely enough, my frames arrived within a few business days! I received a friendly text to come in for a pick-up. I have been coming here for several years and always recommended them, however, my recent experience wasn't very good. First of, my regular Dr. wasn't there and i was seen by Dr. Le who seemed amateur. She was not thorough like Dr. Lieu. Second, my contacts were ordered 3 weeks and I still have not received them. Same thing happened last year and i understood as it was during covid, however, this is unacceptable to happen again. I am down to my last few contacts. read more

Staff and Dr. Le were very professional and a great help. I had a previous Eye glasses RX from another doctor. Dr. Le was able to do my exam and use the old RX to prescribe me a trial pair of contacts. After 5 days she saw me again to make sure they were comfortable and working for me. The front staff helped me learn how to wear contacts and also placed my order when I was ready. Location is easy to find, next to Whole Foods at the district. Parking is no problem. I've had two annual exams at District Eye Care, and I am blown away at the quality of service every time I'm in there. Last year, I had an exam for both glasses and contacts. I am the most indecisive person you will ever meet, so you can imagine that I'm a nightmare of a customer when selecting glasses. Daniel helped me during the selection process and he did not rush me, gave his honest opinion, and was extremely pleasant for the whole hour and a half I took to make a decision. This year, I only needed the exam and contact lenses as my prescription did not change much. Dr. Yoo did the entire exam, lens fitting, AND pre-tests! She is extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable. After the exam, Crystal helped me with the contact lenses. There was a rebate available depending on how many boxes you purchased, and she calculated how much I'd be paying per box for each situation. I've also never had an issue with my insurance and/or benefits card. I pay my co-pay and what I'm responsible for on the glasses/contacts and it is always correct. The District Eye Care is all about their patients/customers. I have never experienced service like this at any optometrist's office, or even doctor's office! If you are like me and worry about cleanliness, you will love this place. They clean every piece of equipment right in front of you, down to the little plastic thing that you cover your eye with. They also have great hours (open Saturdays!) and scheduling an appointment is a breeze. Bottomline: This place makes me happy to pay my monthly premium for vision insurance. I wish more of my friends and family had bad eyes so I could refer them here! :) read more

I have been to quite a few optometrist offices over the years. The District Eye Care was by far the best. Their selection of frames was excellent, the opticians offered great advice and took their time to explain all the pros and cons of different types of frames. They were completely a hassle free experience, not trying to force me to buy more expensive frames or upgrade my lens. They were respectful of my budget and helped me find the best pair of glasses. If that wasn't enough to get 5 stars, my frames had a problem with the hinge about 6 weeks after I bought them and they worked with the manufacturer to send me a new pair. Highly recommended. Dr. Lori Yoo is excellent! I brought my 10 year old daughter in for eye exam and contact lens fitting anout a month ago. She was very professional and thorough. She was slso very helpful helping her pick out frames for an Asian nose. The staff is super friendly also. They were very accomodating scheduling and very informative about our insurance plans. I had my own eye appt there yesterday. I had Lasix approximately 3 years ago but noticed my left eye has been slightly off. She preformed a through exam and we discussed my options. She is knowledgeable regarding lasix and how to help correct minor issues like mine that sometimes happen. I'm still glad I had lasix but feel lucky that Dr. Yoo can help me with my minor issues.
