While I've been a frequent flyer around the Orange circle for a few years, none of the local bars have stood out as "my kinda spot" for various reasons. Although I've visited the District Lounge countless times previously last night there sealed the deal; The District will now be my go to. Everything clicked. My friend and I were out for her birthday, and wanted to karaoke. Check. We wanted wings. Check. We wanted great drinks without breaking the bank. Check. Ashley was our bartender and absolutely made the night. An excellent conversationalist and an A1 host all around. If you see her, ask for a Brave Bull (Tequila and Kahlua), it's her favorite. She made great recommendations- the wings are on point here and if your friend likes fruity drinks Ashley's got that down pat. If you're in town on a Wednesday night, be sure to stop in and belt out a few tunes. Shout out to Phil for being a superb KJ for the night; although I hear he was just a cover the man knows how to have a good time and make sure the room does as well. First of all, just visited the history district at the circle in Orange for the first time last year. What an incredible place to shop for cool stuff, dine and hangout! Last night I joined friends at The District Lounge. Awesome experience! Everyone was so friendly on their staff, from the man at the front door to our server Amber. A great bar in front, fun room in back and a great outdoor spot to hangout farther out back. There was an incredible band playing in the fun room last night, Ro Sham Bo, and they rocked the place with great sound and lighting! In addition to great service, drink prices were very good as well. We'll be back! The District is another great reason to visit this cool part of Orange! read more

This bar truly shocked me! I went with four of my best friends and I on Nee Years Eve and I wasn't disappointed! The staff was awesome and dressed up as the Great Gaspy. Update: So, the manager saw my review here and messaged me. We talked on the phone a few times and he informed me that he and the general manager took the following steps: 1) Spoke to the staff to remind them of their policies regarding physically touching/grabbing patrons 2) Reviewed the security footage (they looked at 15 minutes worth of footage) 3) reminded staff again that any instances of inappropriate touching would result in losing employment 4) Invited me and my cousins back with a promise to make the experience there more comfortable with a reserved table. I'm glad that they took some actions steps and I'm hoping this doesn't happen again. Original post: been to this place only twice. I love the music they played, and that the drinks are reasonably priced. However, I needed to write this as a word of caution to any women who may want to visit for a night out. I do not think this place is safe for you, and let me explain why. At closing time, my group and I left the bar, and found out that one of the employees of this bar grabbed my cousin by the waist, squeezed her waist, and pulled her towards him as he passed by her. I heard from someone else that they had seen the same employee do this to multiple female patrons. By the time I found out, the bar was closed and they had locked the door. However, I could still see inside through the glass door. I knocked on the door, and a young man on the other side looked at me and made faces at me while mouthing something that I could not understand. He didn't have any kind of uniform so it seemed like he didn't work there. He did not open the door to see what was wrong and he did not send an employee to the door. I don't understand who he was or why he was just seemingly hanging out there. A few moments later, the employees covered the glass with black boards, and I tried knocking again. This time, an employee answered and got the night manager for me. I spoke to the night manager to explain what happened, and to his credit he seemed sympathetic and bothered by what I told him. He took my name and number, and said he would give me a call if anything, and that he would take care of it. I asked him specifically to look at the security cameras. It's only been one day, so I don't know if I might receive a call later this week. I'll update if anything happens. Women, be cautious. read more

This is the spot for Brunch Sunday's One of my brunch faves are the Bottomless Mimosa's They're $15 with a purchase of an entree (2 hr max limit) & you have a variety of juices to choose from (orange, pineapple, grapefruit or cranberry). I have been coming here weekly for a year and I now only come on nights when Colin bartends. He's super friendly and always small talks. He makes killer drinks and keeps us updated on new items on the menu. Great prices, music and we get to shoot pool!! Only con is there are two female bartenders that are super rude and have flat out ignored me to help out male patrons. If I see them at the bar, I leave. We went in for taco Tuesday at approximately 4:45pm-5:00pm. We had no problem waiting, we asked the lady in the pink shirt if we can order some tacos and the bartender in the blue shirt brunette approached the lady in the pink shirt in a very condescending manner which turned us off in ordering food. This bar is so much fun!!! The bar tenders and servers in their district shirts are the coolest people around. They have such fun decorations for each holiday such as tiny yellow Christmas lights strung in zig zags across the ceiling and fun big ornaments for the Christmas season! Visited The District for Sunday Brunch for the first time and was happily surprised at how legit this place is for Sunday Football. There's plenty of TVs (and they have Sunday Ticket so you can see every game), the brunch menu is reasonably priced, service is quick, and the food is fantastic. Kind of wish I read the reviews. I knew something was wrong when I had a fruit fly fly around me. That means there are bugs in the liquor or something is rotting. The bartender.....pool she needs a good sit down on customer service. Took 5 minutes to come say hi to me and my sister, had an attitude. Never came to check on us after. I went up to pay my tap and get my free tater tots and she had an attitude just from me walking up. Nothing about this place is welcoming or inviting. I will not be back. read more
