I gave the Flemington Doctor Is In 5 stars to be read. However, if I could have given them negative 5 stars, I would. When I visited them last winter, I was sick as a dog and had my formal negative Covid test results with me. Standing in front of the door, I called the number on door and got NO answer while looking at the person at the reception desk who ignore both my waving and the phone ringing. Next, I knocked on the door pointing to my phone. Finally, she answered my call and told me I need to let them Covid test me onsite, and only for CASH $70.+ I believe. Next, I called the Clinton office to see if this was a company-wide policy. The Clinton Doctor Is In was very helpful and deserves 5 stars. That office did not require that they perform their own Covid test for me to be seen. The Flemington branch my opinion Covid SCAM. Steer clear. Read comments from the many other one star ratings which describe equally frustrating experiences with this Flemington Doctor Is In such as, David R. 8/11 "This isn't medical care. I sprained my ankle and came in. Their x ray machine was broken, so after sitting in a room for an hour, the doctor came in and told me it was broken and GAVE ME A CHEAP ANKLE WRAP...I called to contest and they said "But they gave you a bandage!" I'm pretty sure the billing department gets paid commission for this. Please look at the $141 of charges for said cheap bandage they gave me. $125 was for literally putting it on and the $16 was the fee for the ace bandage. read more

The most impersonal doctor's office I was ever in. Receptionist is cold, filling out forms. Ridiculous as I have been a patient for almost 30 years. It is as if they never ever saw me before. I've been really impressed with this clinic every time I've visited. Dr. Randy Klein (Medical Director / Founder of 'The Doctor Is In') put it best when he told me: "Patients care about knowing what's wrong with them, what caused it, and how do we treat it?" I've appreciated that Dr. Klein (and his staff) always take the time to address each of these aspects with patients during sick-visits, explaining the logic behind any treatment regimen they're advising. I have never waited longer than 10 minutes to be called back to a room as a walk-in at this clinic (recent times I've visited: 8am on a weekday, 7pm on a weekday, and 10am on a Saturday). I'm sure it's possible to experience longer wait times if you're walking-in without an appointment though, since the nature of walk-in's is unpredictable. Besides Dr. Klein, I can also highly recommend Erica Gilroy (PA-C) and Destinn McKnight (PA-C) at this clinic. read more

So disappointed these days...This was my go to place when my kids were younger and we had to see someone and their pediatrician was booked...Since Cov-id they've been awful. I had to have 2 Covid tests done on my kids within probably a 6 mos period - 1st one due to contact trace; today my son was sick. Granted they did the test, but I asked Can you please have a Dr listen to my son's chest when it was confirmed he was negative. I was concerned about bronchitis - other things than Covid. They do not let you in their building, don't want to see you. What kind of Dr is that? They're terrified after negative test to let you in their building and do basic medical work!? I am a long time patient of the practice. I find the office professional and courteous. They returned calls and advised me thru a medical emergency. Having an on-site tech for bloodwork is a plus. I've been a patient of this practice for many years. Recently I've switched my PCP to one of their PAs Erica LaBish. I had been having some weird symptoms, and they were persisting. I had even gone to an orthopedic specialist and nothing was improving. She listened to my whining and went over every visit and test. She suggested a few more pieces of blood work and found the root of my problem. She called me at home as soon as the results came back and advised me of my next steps. She continues to guide me through my treatment and is very diligent about making sure she has all the results from the specialists, and studies them. She cares, is very inquisitive and persistent. This place is absolutely awful. Dr. Strauss is one of the nastiest people - yes people, not just doctors - I've ever met. This guy is outright rude. I gave him the benefit of the doubt once, but the second time he was worse. I'll never step foot in this place again They are close to home but from now on I'll go elsewhere. If I could post 0 stars I would but even that would be too many. The one time I went to the Clinton location was a much better experience, but the wait time there is generally interminable. So I had an appointment time of 2pm left work early for this appointment and still sitting in the office. I had no choice but to go here for work. The people are nice but the office is very slow. good afternoon .. this is the first time that i am posting a complaint on social media, but i felt that it needs to be put out there.. I have been very sick with Pneumonia since Friday. I went to the DR IS IN FLEMINGTON on Friday and then a repeat visit on Sunday.. The nurse brought me immediately back to a room and told me that Dr. Randy Klein would be with me shortly..i could hear him knocking on two doors, so i knew there were at least two patients in other rooms before me.. Here is where i have the issue.. after he saw the second patient he made a phone call and i could clearly hear him discussing scheduling issues ... i was waiting in that room for 45 minutes until i finally picked up my cell and called the front desk.. the receptionist politely told me that a nurse would come back.. the nurse came back and asked me what i wanted.. i politely asked her how much longer the dr would be .. she responded that she wasnt sure.. she left the room and i could still clearly hear him on his phone.. he finally hung up and THEN proceeded to discuss some kind of scheduling issue with his nurse, the same one who had just left my room.they started to get into a heated discussion right outside my door!! i picked up my belongings and walked out! i looked at the both of them and told them they were completely unprofessional. i will not be returning i went to another walk in dr that was open on sunday and they were absolutely amazing! There is a time and a place for certain things and that was certainly NOT the time, especially when you have someone SO sick waiting for such a long time to be seen! I took my sick self elsewhere and i am so happy that i did.. .. this is in no way a reflection of Dr Kleins capability of being a good Dr, it is about professionalism, making a patient wait for as long as i did while you tried to resolve work issues was totally uncalled for read more

I was a walk-in (no appointment), at 7:40pm, they close at 8pm. There were no other patients and they were clearly getting ready to close down for the day, but they gladly saw me. They were all very friendly too. I saw Dr. Messina - and I liked him. Even though it was the end of the day, and I am sure he wanted to go home, I felt he took his time to talk to me and check my symptons. I saw the negative reviews and was hesitant to go here but figured it was better than driving 45 minutes to another place. When I went there they were all super nice! From the receptionist to the doctor. I couldn't have made a better decision. I'm taking Dr. Klein on as my primary physician now. I have never had a doctor that was so nice and he really spends time with you and wants to help. I don't normally write reviews but it bothered me to see those negative reviews AND almost not go there because of them when it was really a wonderful experience. I don't know who trained the staff at the Flemington office BUT they are rude, nasty, disagreeable, incompetent, etc.... just to say the least. After over a month of going back and forth between them and trying to get get help from a Workers Comp injury, they still have not gotten anywhere and the injury is getting worse and when asked whats going on the people on the phone are indignant and condescending. So what.... wait until the injury is so bad that the next step is to be hospitalized????? They do no followup, won't connect you to anyone who would know what the next step should be and all the while the injury gets worse. They are a horrible doctors office and if it wasn't for the fact that my work sent me there I would never go there again. Even the woman in my office who handles insurance stuff dreads calling there. All they care about is when Workers Comp is going to pay them. Shouldn't you put the patient first and then collect your money. THAT'S HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK rather then let the patient suffer. I was fortunate to have Dr. Klein spend a "great deal of time" examining the wound and sharing a complete course of action (so very rare these days). He also spent time reviewing my health history. I've had Dr. Klein most of the times I have dropped in and he has always been upbeat, funny, informative, and quick. I had to go in today due to an unexpected breakout of hives and it was such a quick and painless visit. Doctor was not real thorough and upon going to a different doctor and getting tested further, a new more accurate diagnosis was made. New drugs were ordered and my condition finally improved. This place is extremely unprofessional and overpriced. I needed a physical for my phlebotomy course before doing my externship, so I decided to get it done at the Doctors In in Flemington since my primary couldn't see me before the form I needed filled out for the physical was due. I work 2 jobs and I go to school, so because I only have Medicaid they made me pay out of pocket for the appointment. I paid $160 just to get a form filled out saying I was healthy. They made me retake my PPD even though I had already had it done a few months prior for my jobs at the hospital where I work. I had to pay 35$ for the first PPD, not including the $160 I paid for the initial appointment. I had the second one done at my primary so I at least wouldn't have to pay another 35$. I went back to get my form back, and it turns out they lost it. Not to mention the receptionist is giving me tons of attitude and being rude to me since I'm asking for MY OWN information back. I'm extremely livid at this point. My best advice is DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. They're EXTREMELY RUDE and will most likely lose your important patient information. I feel like my patient rights are being completely violated, and if they don't find my form I want a full refund. I'll keep you posted on how everything turns out.
