Allan comes to the house to pick up Ripley (my dog) and take him for hikes and gets him out of the house for 2-4 hours. Ripley explodes with excitement every single time Allan meets him at the door--it's honestly the highlight of his day! Allan is an incredible communicator, always letting me know when he's on his way and when he's safely back with Ripley through the Yo Dog App and text. The updates he sends are the sweetest, with so many amazing pictures of Ripley having a blast with the other pups. I especially love that he posts his Strava recap after their adventures. It gives me a great sense of how far they've walked and what kind of exercise Ripley got that day. As a dog owner himself, Allan truly understands how important it is to care for other people's animals as if they were his own. We love Yo Dog! We were initially hesitant to send our 9 month old german shepherd (Remy) to daycare because we'd tried another company and he seemed to hate it. Luckily the staff at Yo Dog are all incredibly dog savvy and patient. Erik especially put in the time and effort to acclimate Remy to the process and make sure that he had a positive experience. Now Remy absolutely LOVES daycare (and especially loves when Erik comes to pick him up!) and pack walks and will happily hop to his spot in the van. The selection process is discerning but fair, ensuring the safety of the dogs. The scheduling is easy, prices reasonable, and variety of services is great. They also host open houses! It's cool to see the place, meet the staff and other dog parents, and watch your pup with their friends. Some daycares feel a little smoke and mirrors, but definitely not Yo Dog. We've now done day care, boarding and walks (including pick up and drop off while we're not home) with great results and without hesitation. Also the photo updates we get are hilarious! read more

I have been using Yo Dogwalker since my first dog was a pup and they've been amazing since day one. Whether it's walk, daycare or boarding, I always know they'll take good care of the dogs. I wanted to write an update about my second dog. When I got him, he was very nervous around new people. When Yo first started coming to pick up both the dogs for walks, my new guy would often run upstairs to hide. It has been amazing to see how much he has changed overtime with the loving care of the folks a Yo Dog. He has come out of a shell at daycare and it's so fun to get photos of him playing with all the other dogs. And he no longer runs away when any of his pals come to pick him up for his daily walks. Everyone who works at Yo Dog is amazing. Then, the other day, when I was walking the dogs myself, we spotted one of their regular walkers, Alan, on the street. We are coming up on our one year anniversary of sending Violet to Yo! So I thought it would be time to review. She goes 5 days a week when I'm working and has also boarded for a few long weekends and also a full week when I was out of town for work. The process has been pretty great because they pick up and drop off so that is very helpful, and when I'm traveling it is no different for her than daycare because she knows all the people and the place so I know she is never stressed out. And the daily photo updates are so fun to receive. I can see her enjoying playing with her friends and getting that energy out. Erik does pick up most days and he is patient with her when she is a little timid of getting in the van. (car rides used to be scary but I think we are almost over that) And I can always tell when Taylor is taking the photos and hanging with her because her smile is even bigger. Yo Dog Walker is THE VERY VERY BEST. My dog has been going here for a few months for dog daycare, group walks, hikes, and even boarding, so I say this with full confidence. The entire team has taken care of Julio like he's their own (better than I do tbh), and he is always running out the door into their arms the second they show up for pickup and never looking back, which doesn't hurt my feelings at all or anything. Bob and the whole team (I've worked with Jesse, Kate, Roxy, Mauricio, Jerry, and Ethan so far) have perfected the process of taking care of the dogs in their care, and staying in communication all day with photos, minute by minute updates on things like pickup and drop off, and my absolute favorite update -- the insanely adorable poop report. On the days he goes to daycare, he apparently has to be dragged out to leave at the end of day and comes back exhausted and happy. On walk and hike days, he is equally well exercised and a chill dude when he comes back. He knows the beep of Roxy locking her Prius when she comes to grab him so well that he'll wake up from a deep sleep to run and whine at the door. He's also become better socialized and a well trained gentleman on the leash because of the thoughtfulness they put into the pack they've curated. Also hugely helpful is the care they put into going above and beyond - my dude has been working on separation anxiety and managing the summer heatwave with his husky coat. On request, every team member has gone out of their way to turn on the AC, get him fresh water, pull a Kong from the freezer, and even put it in his crate when he adopted a fun new habit for a week of eating my shoes out of boredom. Breadsticks, as she's been renamed by the Yo team, loves her hikes, camp and overnights. She's been going to the Zone for three years. The staff sends updates, pictures, and Breadsticks runs to see them when they arrive. The pick up and drop off is such a gift. Bob and his team care about the health of all of the dogs. I also appreciate the eta's for pick up and drop offs, so helpful! I live for Breadsticks making an appearance on the Yo ig! My baby is a little introverted and the team has helped her come out of her shell a bit. I'm grateful for the level of care and love they provide. Their services have made it possible for me to have a dog during grueling residency training and filled in a critical gap in dog care with an unpredictable schedule including 24hr call since I don't have family locally. I trust them unequivocally with my red fox Lab, Orlagh, who goes on hikes nearly every day of the week with the Yo! pack. She's been making progress from these weekly walks; easily worth the price! An added bonus is the extra socializing with so many oppas and unnies; she literally looks up to grown up dogs and feels safer in a pack. Once she hears the door knock it's "bye felicia" to the pawrents and she is gone down the sidewalk. She comes back tired, happy, and a smile for a mile. They have requirements standard for the industry: vaccinations (side eye to anti-vaxxers with dogs) and a temperament pre-screening interview. The staff takes these very seriously; the safety and health for all doggies is a serious concern for the business. YDW uses the Time To Pet mobile app; pretty basic yet simple and effective. Scheduling is done via the app too. Yo Dog will send a photo or two from each walk. And their insta-story will have a video collage of various walks from the day. LOVE this company so much. Bob, the owner is fantastic and he and his staff really care about dogs. Pre-Corona they would pick up our dog, take her on a 45 min walk (with her doggie friends) and drop her back off. We consistently had Rob for our area, and our dog Robbie loves him. But, all the walkers are great and very professional and trustworthy. They also offer daycare and overnights, which we utilized as well. Note - during corona we can't have anyone come to our house obviously, but they do offer contactless drop off for daycare and overnights on a limited basis. Call for details. But if you or your doggie needs a break from all the craziness, I'd highly recommend a trip to Yo. I have never been so disappointed by a company before. I have been a longtime customer, since early 2021. My dog has gone on a pack hike once a week for nearly a YEAR. Her walkers have always had amazing feedback about how Dara behaves during these WEEKLY hikes. Today, Bob, the owner, who I have truthfully always disliked (the walkers are WONDERFUL) sent me the messages below. Bob is dramatic, abrasive, and rude. Bob's attack on Dara after I pushed back kindly on a schedule REQUEST feels reactive, retaliatory, and reveals his long held bias against my Pit Bull breed dog. Not to mention, Bob has posted recently on social media wanting additional new clients. You're a sad excuse for a business owner. I truly hope that the amazing employees: Shay, Mauricio, Claire, and Jeremy find somewhere else to work or start their own company. You know how to work with dogs and have wonderful energy. Because of this, I cannot in good faith recommend this service. In response to Bob: I did not say I would take to Yelp and social media because of the scheduling request. As included in my review, I called you AFTER receiving your response that said you no longer wanted us as customers. Please stop lying, Bob. Also, I have not taken down the screenshots of the messages you've sent me. I will continue to post them. The screenshots are clear as day, you gave no option to work together as your response implies. We know that this came down to money and this gave you an opportunity to push us out. You told me on our phone call that I give you "$180 a month" and it's not worth it for you. As I mentioned, if I could have afforded more per week, I would have done so. We used the service for three years. Originally the service was excellent, with well intentioned owners and high touch communication. Lately staff turnover and overworked employees have led to dog fights and kennel cough. Poor training, failure to adhere to protocols, and too much growth have caused us to leave. The service is insanely expensive for dogs fighting and catching diseases. Poor communication and cruelty just compounds the problem. Hard pass. read more

The only place in LA I feel comfortable leaving my pups when I'm away, and far and away my favorite daycare. The dogs go BOUNDING out the door when they see the (very convenient) pickup van, and they come home happy and exhausted from playing all day.
