Because of how they managed things, I feel confident our cats will have a better boarding experience in the future. We called an emergency vet and they said they would need to see what was happening to properly diagnose her, so they advised waiting and taking a video if she has another episode (which is a separate issue with another facility). Rather than risk a 30 minute drive to a questionable emergency vet, we figured Swift Creek would help. We were in the parking lot waiting when they opened at 8am. My husband explained the situation, and my dog clearly had seizures (we did take a video at that point), but they told us to go to urgent care. Even when told that she was now having seizures 3-4 hours apart and waiting another 3 hours for urgent care to open would allow time for another seizure, they still said they would not see her. They have been this dog's vet for all 5 years of her life and have seen all our other dogs over the course of 15 years, yet they turned us away when our dog really needed help. Fortunately, we found another vet that was open and willing to see her. They gave her a sedative and seizure medication. They did nothing that Swift Creek didn't have the ability to do, other than show compassion. Swift Creek might be fine when your pet is well, but don't count on them to help when you really need them.

Henry is always happy to go to the groomer, I book my appointments for the whole year in January (I book Jan the 1st week of Dec). One thing that I do think helped is on the advice when I purchased Henry was from the get go to take him in the bathroom every time I showered and used the hair dryer. The staff has even commented to me what a great boy he is when they are grooming him. He truly has been so much fun and I can say enough about the staff at Fuzz & Suddz they keep Henry always looking his best!

I visited the property and left my dog for a brief overnight stay the first time. She said that she let him sleep in their bedroom. I did not consent to this as she has other dogs and I didn't feel comfortable with him interacting with unknown dogs. The second time I left him in their care for 3 nights. My red eye flight arrived mid afternoon and went to get my dog without advance notice. This didn't give them time to hide the abuse they were putting my poor dog through. When I walked in, he looked anxious, miserable and significantly older. I noticed his tail hair was yellow--it was saturated in dry pee and on top of that he did not have any water in his crate and a bowl with scattered food. This is very concerning since I was told that the dogs are taken out into the backyard every 2 hours for potty relief. Also, my dog has a history of pancreatitis so it is crucial for him to eat his own food. I know something was given to him to entice him to eat because he had diarrhea and loose stool. Upon further notice after getting him home, he had a deep crate line on his nose that took a couple of weeks to go away. Lastly, the dogs naturally get excited anytime someone comes in so they start barking in their crates. The way that Mary yells at them to "shut up" is APPALLING and unprofessional. They try to tell you that the dogs they care for become comfortable with them shortly after the owner leaves. Almost every dog I saw looked anxious. This is no way that a person who loves dogs or animals would treat them. Please do not bring your pet here if you want them in a caring and trust-worthy environment while you're away.

Fortunately an acquaintance uses Happy Camper for her dogs and highly recommended them. After calls to other places and to Happy Camper it was clear Happy Camper would be the best place for my 15-year-old baby girl. That all the forms and sending documents could be done electronically was beyond fantastic. My Couscous came home, happy, healthy, and relaxed -- and maybe a little disappointed she wasn't still there. I recently had to go back into the hospital so again needed to board Couscous again with no planning time. Happy Camper welcomed her. I think the best thing a dog parent can hear about a place is what their dog says: As Couscous realized where she was going, she got excited and wagged all her rear body parts in excitement.

These ladies are great! Lots of dogs getting groomed. There is even a 'play and stay' area for short term doggie day care. All the dogs there looked relaxed and not stressed. She really listens to the pup and their needs. She takes her time and introduces herself to them and spends time playing with them. If your pup needs a break, she listens to them and takes time to play and rest. She also works hard to familiarize them with the process and tools. Even simple things like not putting them on the table. She lowers it to their level and encourages them to step on before hooking them in for safety and lifting the table. We were greeted by Austin with an infectious smile and bubbly personality. Bentley was super excited and after some sniffing around he went potty in the establishment. She assured us everything was fine, loved on him and cleaned the mess. We spoke about what were we're looking for and left. She took her time with my boy Bentley and made him look like the gentleman he is! We were able to choose his bandana and if we wanted a cologne spray after his services. We received a text that said Bentley would be done in 30 minutes. When we arrived our happy handsome boy was joyously lounging on the couch after some play time with her next pup. She went over our services, how much she cut off and payment. Super easy process. We were able to book with her online, and save my card on file for easy checkout in the establishment. She carries all natural treats for the pup and is a wealth of knowledge. No need for us to look any farther, we have found our forever groomer!
