I've used this spot several times for their self-service dog wash. The staff is incredibly friendly and I've never had to wait for a stall. The price is great and the rewards card is helpful as well. Unfortunately, I had to take off a star due to the dryers. No matter which stall I choose, the dryers are inadequate to dry my pup and we usually end up leaving with him still wet. I thought it was just me but I've since visited other self service dog wash places and found this was not my experience anywhere else. Otherwise, highly recommend! read more

My regular groomer didn't show up the day of my miniature poodle's grooming appointment, I didn't realize this. My dog was handed over to a woman who clearly was inexperienced, unbeknownst to me...what a disaster. This person simply shaved every bit of my dogs hair right down to the same length. it will be months before it's grown out again so he can get his regular cut. They do offer nail and fur trimmings but he didn't need it yet. They offer towels, shampoo, plastic aprons that you can wear to protect you from the water and treats for after you're done! A bit over priced for me but they got the job done!!!! My super paranoid German Shepherd mix who has anxiety when going into any store or building and for a dog that used to be a service animal she will not put up with anyone other than me, my wife, or close family being in close contact with her. She used to get groomed regularly when I worked at Petco but for some odd reason does not like to go into those places anymore and will put up a fight that gets her kicked out of most places without doing any type of grooming completed. So like I said before they are a bit overpriced to me but their patience and ability to bath and groom my over anxious dog and my energetic schnauzer in under a hour and half from head to tail is well worth a five star review! read more

I brought my poodle here to get a trim, and to have her face and paws shaved. I was careful to express that I wanted her coat left long (it was about 1.5" when I brought her in) because it's winter and she's a small dog who will get cold easily. I showed them pictures of what I wanted too (fluffy body and head, shaved face and paws), and was specific about what I wanted. She was a bit matted on her legs, and her body wasn't matted at all. When I picked her up (and paid $60), I saw that she was the same length everywhere and that it's the same length I cut her to in the summer- very short. She's very clean and her coat is smooth, her nails are nicely trimmed, and her face and paws are shaved, but her coat is absurdly short for a winter cut. I can't take her outside without a sweater anymore, and she still shivers when she wears one. Everyone was kind and helpful, but I'm irritated that they didn't listen to my requests at all, and now my dog will be cold until her coat grows back despite my explicit instructions. read more

I washed my dog today for $13 and it was well worth it! The self serve is great and the staff are very helpful. We (Bentley and I) got there about 15-minutes before they opened and they let us in. The place is well-lighted, clean and the washing booths are huge- which is great cause my dog is huge. They have towels, a dryer, even a dog treat to help coax my big boy up the ramp into the washing booth. I brought my dog's shampoo but they sell it too of course. We will be back. read more

I can really recommend this grooming salon. Have been coming here for about a year or so. They always do a nice job and are very consistent. The workers are calm and focused. The best thing about this place is the time- they dont put your dog in a cage and make them wait any longer than they have to. My husband and I went brought our 2 dogs here to do the self serve dog washing. The place is in the basement of a strip mall, brightly lit and easy to find. The store is very sparse; they aren't trying to compete with PetSmart or anything. There were some treats and a couple various items for sale. The part that irked me was that I have never been to a self-serve place that didn't have the giant, economy sized shampoos for you to use but this place did not. The sold a few shampoos so we had to purchase one, Their website does not say it is a bring-your-own; they should include that unless they are banking on people having to buy the shampoos there. What would have been a $26 cost for us bathing our dogs turned into $53. The place itself is fairly worn and in need of better cleaning that what is being done. I have a history of volunteering in animal shelters and totally understand that things get hairy and dirty in the animal world but this place had holes knocked out of the drywall, the shelves around the tub had huge hair tumbleweeds stuck to them, which in turn stuck to anything we brought in to the place (purse, leashes and collars, etc) that we were attempting to keep dry. There were no dryers in the stall we were placed in which they say they have on their site. read more

Never again. Extremely disappointed. Our dog went in for a trimming and came out with hardly any hair which was shaved due to, we were told, matting on her stomach. Cut all the hair off including ears? It's going to take months for the hair to grow back. read more

We took our puppy twice. The first was for a "tidy up", he was 4 months old and it was just ok. They blew out my puppy's curls so that his hair was straight and frizzy. He's part poodle! A little rain later in the day started to solve that disappointment. The second time we took him, when he was almost a year old (after trying another more expensive groomer), I asked for a trim and to not blow out his curls. I was told that it wasn't possible to leave the curls with their drying system. What? When I picked him up, I could tell right away that it was an AWFUL grooming. The groomer (Susan) made excuses as to why his cut was uneven and why she had to cut him shorter than I asked for. I think she just did a bad job and was trying to blame it on my dog and how we care for him at home. I was so upset and even called the next day, they didn't seem to care. I will never go back there again for grooming. It is well worth the bit of extra $$ to use a higher quality groomer!! read more

Today was our first visit to the Dog Wash and I wish I had done it a long time ago. We took our two smelly Chesapeake Bay Retrievers for the self serve . They had everything we needed from towels, shampoo, brushes, water proof aprons , to a puppy treat in each station. Our dogs hated it but we loved it. I brought my 2 dogs a Shetland Sheepdog and a Golden Doodle to The Dog Wash. For both dogs we asked for a tidy. The Shetland turned out great but the Doodle was very disappointing. We asked for the groomer to tidy the ears, mustache and paws but instead we got a full body trim that was way too short and made our dog look like a mutt. As said before the body was trimmed and so was the butt, tail, underbelly and chest despite us saying we wanted it to stay the same. The paws were also still full of winter hair and were sloppy and looked like they had been rushed. Our regular groomer wasn't available. The desk assistant didn't help, when we told him we didn't like it and only wanted a tidy of ears mustache and paws. He then told us she was matted but she wasn't. She sheds a lot and we remember what she looked like because we take good care of her. She was not matted! We ended up paying 80$ instead of 70$ for the Doodle and were disappointed that we payed an extra 10$ for a trim we did not ask for and disliked greatly. read more

I like The Dog Wash. When my dog Dayna and I arrive, we are always greeted with a smile and a happy "Hi." We find a wash room that's open, and it always has two waterproof aprons, two towels, a face cloth and a doggie biscuit. I bring Dayna's shampoo, so there is no issue re: buying it from the shelf. I wash my dog, towel her off and dry her as best I can with an air dryer. If needed, I have a staffer clip her nails. The Dog Wash is not Manhattan. It is not a high-tone establishment. It has a perfect name for what it is. It is a place where you wash your dog, and my tub at home stays clean. read more

I have had my Goldendoodle for 8 years now. I personally went into the Dog Wash to discuss their experience with grooming Goldendoodles. They assured me they groom the breed all the time. I even saw a Goldendoodle there. On the day of my appointment, I went over specific details as to how I wanted my dog groomed. This is by far the worst grooming job of any groomer!!! everything we discussed, they did the complete opposite. I asked that the dog not have a Poodle look at all. They shaved the dog and completely cut his face to look like a poodle. When I picked up my dog and voiced my displeasure, I was dismissed. Excuses were made, but no apologies given. I went over with the groomer before she started. I pointed out that he had no matting and is brushed on a regular basis. she ran her hands all over him and agreed. Again, we discussed in detail the kind of cut I wanted. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I feel that I was entitled to a call from the owner or manager. EVERYONE in this place knew of my displeasure, yet no one followed up. Poor business sense and lack of respect towards customers. Of course I paid and went on my way, but felt as if I should not have paid a dime. I would never post such a negative review for anyone, but a week later, and still, many people have made comments of, "what happened to your dog"? I use their self service bath/showers for my dog and they are perfect for what I need. The staff is always great to help me get my oh so reluctant girl into the bath (the baths are off the ground so that it is comfortable for us humans to stands there and wash them, and there is a ramp to help get bigger dogs up there, but my girl doesn't cooperate lol). You will not get what you pay for: groomers say they will express anal glands and remove ear hair (necessary in some breeds to prevent ear infections), but will not do it, will not tell you they didn't do it, but will just skip out on it and hope you are none the wiser. We saw the vet 48 hours after the grooming and he showed me with an otoscope how my dog's ears looked and said that the dog had been poorly groomed. When I spoke with the owner she made excuses but never apologized or took ownership for the poor grooming job of her employee. I had been taking the dog there for a year and this was the final straw after a series of sub-optimal groomings (once they "forgot" to clip his nails, once they shaved his eyelashes (on his right eye only, so it was clearly a mistake and not an intentional "eyelash trim" as the groomer tried to excuse it as), another time they perfumed him so heavily that he scratched all day after his grooming (and he smelled like an elderly gentleman with excessive cologne), another time they did not trim his tail hair (he is a fluffy breed that needs his hair shaved or cut so that it does not get too long and matted) and the groomer said "oh, we thought you wanted it like that" when it was never specified. I would not recommend, and am sorry I stayed with this groomer for as long as I did. read more
