As anyone who has animals will agree...the trust and love of their pets is an unconditional bond that fills our lives with joy and sunshine. So as I write this review..I realize that this is more a heartfelt request to avoid and NEVER put your trust and the trust of your dogs into this buisness The Dog Wash Too ...A house of HORRORS and its owner and groomer Helen! It is here I will begin to relate our nightmare....Our two dogs Romeo and Juliette...5 yr old Shih Tzus and life long companions (actually they are brother and sister) and the very joy of our lives. Both are the sweetest..happy go lucky balls of love! They never snap..nip ..bite or growel. They are so trusting and never have met a stranger they didnt love..and the likewise.That said..we brought our dogs to Helen..owner and groomer of her buisness. Like anybody that handles animals as a living..You fully expect them to know and understand and love dogs!NOT SO! Helen..this woman...was the meanest..most hateful individual we have EVER experinced in our lives! When we went to pick up our dogs..she was yelling at tge top of her lungs to another unfortunate customer to " Sit Down And Dont You Leave!..I Have To DEAL With These Two!"..meaning myself and my friend. This customer looked both terrified AND mortified! Helen brought our out and my heart nearly stopped! Our Juliette..who is no bigger than a loaf of bread was completely limp and shaking..her brother Roneo was cowering and tremoring. She screamed at me "These Little Spoled Rotten Dogs That Cried And Wimper Just Getting Their Nails Clipped!" She had Juliette wrapped in her winter cloth coat so we wouldnt see that she had shaved her to pink if her hide and nicked her. She shoved Romeo's coat at us and yelled "Here Take This Thing And Wash It!"..I laundered it that morning myself. Last she screamed at us "GET THESE DOGS OUT OF HERE!"..because out of complete fear..Juliette was loosing control of her bowels. Ummm is that really that unheard of at a buisness that deals with DOGS!.annnd we always clean up after them!.IT HAPPENS!..It is now 2 days later..little Juliette is-still half catotonic from this BRUTAL human being HELEN! It breaks our hearts that this person betrayed our trust..WORST OF ALL BETRAYED THE SACRED TRUST OF OUR DOGS!..PLEASE!.. I implore all that read this..AVOID THIS BUISNESS THE DOG WASH TOO and its owner and groomer Helen! She is hateful to both dogs and humans and should never be allowed either one!!! read more

Total ripoff. Used to be an excellent groomer but has changed. She was totally confused about our appointment twice, two years ago. I had confirmed and written in my book. She was wrong. She just charged $25 for a missed appointment two years ago - we hadn't been back since, but thought we'd give her another try. Also charged extra fee because our dog is "difficult " (behavior not defined, nor was I informed beforehand of the extra charge). So unlike our experience at her former facility, years ago. Sorry, Helen. Really liked you and respected you very much, and we had valued and appreciated your work in years' past. No worries, we won't bother you with our business ever again. read more

Bad experience all around. Made an appt for 2 of my dogs. That week of their appt. she was calling regarding the appt for one of my dogs. I called her back and asked what was up, she said ok bring them both in but they'll be done late as she was booked. I said it's ok to change the date. We changed them to Tuesday. I got there Tuesday and she said you got the wrong date down it's Wednesday, what's wrong with you! I brought them in on Wednesday (shame on me) and after 2 hours of them Being there she called and said no hot water maybe we we could do it on Wednesday. No way. I got the impression she just didn't want to do them. Ones a Bischon and ones a cavachon. Not an easy cut. She actually groomed them in the fall and hacked them but i was giving her a second try but that didn't happen. Maybe she's good for big dogs, definitely not for my two. Buyer beware. Amazing to read the one star reviews of this brilliant, caring, disciplined groomer. Helen is so much more than the standard chain or even small salon Groomer. Her knowledge about the physical condition of the dog. Her kindness with the dogs. Her understanding of the dogs personality. I brought my standard poodle O going in looking like a Bouvier crossed with an Orangatan. Both great looks. Both great animals. But not the look I wanted for my standard poodle who had just come from several months hunting in the Arizona mountains. When I returned for the pick up I was stunned at the beauty Helen had captured, bringing out the beautiful breed standard. Today in the parade there were over 50 dogs entered for Oktoberfest and O went as a French cocktail server complete with wine glasses and beautiful up do She received more ooohs and aaahs than any other dog. Helen has a decidedly bigger than life personality. And that works just fine for me as it clearly did for O. I live in Las Vegas but when here 4 or 5 times a year I will be at Dog Wash Too and honored to be a client of Helen's. read more

Terrific groomer. Helen is kind and patient with our feisty Westies. The dogs were in a great mood after seeing her unlike their behavior after seeing another more expensive groomer in town. I highly recommend this groomer and we have now switched over to her service. read more

Love Helen, she's the best! Trust her completely with my cocker spaniel. She always makes him look great. It can't be easy, he doesn't sit still. Always available when I need to run in for a quick nail trim. Just because someone is loud that doesn't make them rude that makes them HOH. Can't say enough good stuff about her kindness and professionalism! I don't trust anyone with my fur-baby. Only the best will do. read more

I must say that this is one of the best dog groomers in the area who has been here for over 27 years and has thrived because of the quality and Care dogs and their owners love to come in to see Helen , she is a fabulous groomer with no fancy foo foo nail polish and weird things just a great grooming great service and a terrific terrific clean shop if you want your pet groomed this is the place to go no questions about it many of her clients even drive from Massachusetts just to come see her and get their dogs groomed no wonder why all her furry friends look so beautiful and their owners love the dog wash too! read more
