This hot pot place has been on my list for a while especially since I outgrown (more like I can no longer handle AYCE hot pot). My friend and I came here for lunch on Sunday - would recommend making a reservation online but they had a bunch of open spots. They do have AYCE here after 9:30 pm but for the rest of us - they do have individual pots and you can pick either the sets (which include broth, one meat and veggies plus noodles). All the sets were pretty solid and we were really full from ordering the sets. My friend got the pork belly and I got the Beef Short plate and both were good quality meats and the veggies had a good variety and was fresh. You can make your own sauces and they even have a dessert station with jellies, taro balls and toppings. At the end of the meal they ask if we wanted ice cream which was solid. Overall - good vibes and very clean; I left with my hair not smelling like hot pot which is always a plus. I have walked by this restaurant quite a few times. When my little said he wanted ramen I decided to check it out. I was super intrigued about the fact that they cater to those who only eat Halal. While I am Muslim, I am not so rigid with Halal but it was awesome to have that option. I have never been to a hotplate restaurant. Busy on a Saturday evening but for good reason - excellent hotpot! We had a reservation through Yelp but it might've just been that thing where it holds a place in line for you? We arrived on-time and waited another maybe 5 mins for our table. No biggie. I really love that each person gets their own soup pot. Makes it much easier when you've got a variety of spice levels to deal with. Everything we got was fresh and good quality. The restaurant space itself is very nice and modern feeling. Pretty large with a variety of table spaces and sizes. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. Service was good and they were pretty busy but it was only felt in my drink being delayed from the bar (placed before we ordered any food but showed up only after food arrived. Husband's beer arrived super fast though fwiw) My only gripe is the menu on the iPad thing - there are no descriptions of anything (including cocktails). We kept trying to click stuff on the iPad to see the description, but it was adding it to the cart. It would be great if there were descriptions, so you could see more detail about each item before you order (at least for the cocktails). It's pricy, but you can taste the quality of the meats and other ingredients. The lamb and beef cuts are so tender and marinated well that I don't even add any of the other sauces. The make a house sauce at the table, but the self-serve sauce bar has a bunch of the classic sauces, along with some fun snacks (kimchi, seaweed, prawn chips, taro balls, etc.) I really liked the chewy mochi texture of the taro balls. They all serve some complimentary chicken portions. The fish tofu, Napa cabbage, udon noodles, and Wagyu scallion pancake were all great as well. We had 6 people so we made sure to get there on time. They gave us a table to order - drinks of course came first then we decided on food. They have an all day happy hour menu. Pro tip - don't wear your finest clothes as you will smell like hot pot when you leave. The location is a few blocks from the train station so there is a bit of a walk depending where you come from. Let's start off 2026 with a review on the best meal we had on our nyc trip. Individual set meals with unlimited refills on udon noodles. Udon noodles are basically what my kids would only eat at hot pot places anyways so it was an amazing deal for us (The usual place we go to back in LA charges $3 per small bowl of udons to cook.). Recently a friend told me they're actually very good, so we decided to give them another chance. We arrived around 12:05 on a random Tuesday. They were still setting up, so we waited about 5-10 minutes and then were seated. As first timers, we got a quick intro to the menu. You can order individual sets or a la carte from the iPad. What we didn't realize is that the individual pots can have two broths, which is something usually reserved for larger shared pots. That was a very pleasant surprise and definitely a plus for a future visit. The sauce station in the back wasn't as extensive as some AYCE places, but everything was noticeably fresher. Our individual sets turned out to be the perfect amount of food and included a little bit of everything we would have ordered anyway. I mistakenly ordered extra spam, not realizing the set already came with it. It was good, but we didn't need the extra food and ended up having trouble finishing it. The creamy pork broth was rich and flavorful, and all of the ingredients were super fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The soup bases here are amazing. The "silver soup," which is their white pepper pork broth, is absolutely delicious. The tomato and oxtail soup bases are also impressive--definitely among my favorites I've tried in New York City. The soup base comes with chicken and pork stomach strips, adding great texture and flavor. We ordered the prime beef, sliced very thin at about $30, and a seafood platter featuring scallops, fresh tiger shrimp, oysters, and shrimp paste. The waiter shapes the shrimp paste into small balls for easier cooking, and you can actually see chunks of shrimp in each piece--it's definitely a highlight. We also ordered various vegetables, tofu, and mushroom dishes. The total bill, pre-tax, came to around $150 for two adults and a 5-year-old, making this a fairly pricey spot. The sauce bar is one of the best I've seen. Their sha cha, beef, and shrimp sauces taste homemade and are incredibly flavorful, with plenty of ingredients to mix your own combination. The dessert bar stands out too, with Chinese jade jelly, different types of tapioca balls, tasty red bean paste, and a variety of toppings like pistachios and other nuts. However, cleanliness is a major issue. Many customers are young, and the sauce and dessert bars often appear neglected--messy and not cleaned promptly. Random items are scattered around the walls, open cabinets, and even on tables used for storage. The open kitchen looks disorganized. It's clear the owner has a great concept and high-quality ingredients, but the operations feel poorly managed--more like a chaotic street-side eatery in China than a Manhattan restaurant. Any all you can eat dining experience HATES to see me and my big bro coming. Big bro is from Taiwan, and is more protein oriented than any other human being I've ever met, and his physique is proof. When I recommended Dolar Shop, a Chinese hot pot restaurant in the East Village, I got the "I'm down" text. Those are tough to get from big bro. We walked in ready to go HAM, as it's all you can eat past 9:30pm for $46. We always get our money's worth out of an all you can eat restaurant. Hot Pot is cool because you pick your broth, mix your sauces from the sauce bar, and get full plates of raw meat and cook them right in the flavorful, boiling hot broth. This is only my 2nd time having hotpot, and it's such a unique dining experience. I've found the best way to learn about a culture when you can't hop on a plane is to try the food. Our feast consisted of the following: Flat Iron Beef (3x), Beef Boneless Short Rib, Chuck Eye Roll, New Zealand Lamb Flap, Beef Short Plate, Rib Eye, A Choy, Sweet Corn, and the Fish Roe Balls. Our favorite was the flat iron beef, as we got three orders of it. After our meal, we were as full as Ben Simmons after he got a max contract, but there is always room for soft serve ice cream. If there are two things in life I am an expert on, they are soft serve ice cream and rotisserie chicken. This soft serve was ELITE. I was feeling myself and tried to do the DQ Blizzard test on it, and failed miserably. My ice cream fell straight into the hotpot. Have been coming for their AYCE after 9:30 for the past two weeks and this may be my new favorite AYCE hotpot in NYC! This place only had personal pot but you're able to do two different broths per personal pot. I have tried their spicy, tomato and bone broth and my personal favorite is the tomato and bone broth combo. The best thing about their hotpot was the quality of their meat. Sliced beef in AYCE hotpot is usually way too lean or way too fatty but the beef was perfect here! My favorite cut was their USDA rib eye and I would recommend only getting that cut for beef! Their veggies, seafood, and noodles were self-served on the market table. There were a lot of options and I loved how I can just grab it myself so I could control the amount and reduce food waste. They also had a lot of dessert options and you can also ask them for a mini soft serve! The AYCE was only $46 per person and this was so worth it for the quality of the food. The service was also amazing the last two times when I was there. Highly recommend coming here if you don't mind waiting until 9:30! The rest of the veggies were standard but really nice to have. For the noodles I chose the hand pulled noodles and they were really nice too. Very very long so I recommend ripping them in half before you put them in to cook because fishing them out was so difficult, but well worth it because they soak up the broth really well. They also had a sauce bar to make your own sauces. They premade us one that was pretty good but i'm all about that sesame and garlic sauce so I went and made that and it was so good. The sauce bar also had a bunch of other goodies like candies and little panda marshmallows which was perfect for... THE UNLIMITED SOFT SERVE!!! I came here at 10:30pm for their late-night all-you-can-eat hot pot ($45.99 per person, every day 9:30PM-12AM) and it was incredible. The quality of the meats really stood out--tender beef short plate, juicy chicken thigh, lamb flap, and pork belly, all sliced fresh and perfect for hot pot. On top of that, there are over 50 extras to choose from--seafood, veggies, noodles, tofu, and even desserts. Everything was fresh and kept coming nonstop. The vibe is modern, sleek, and fun--perfect for groups of friends or anyone who gets hungry after hours. Service was attentive and quick, which made the whole experience even better. Reviewing the lunch/afternoon set menu (offered 11am-5pm) that Dolar Shop offers. Tldr: it's worth. I visited with a friend on a Saturday noon reservation. We each got a lunch set, and picked different cuts of beef. For broths, I split mine half creamy pork broth and half spicy broth with mild spice level. I was a huge fan of both, though the mild was pretty spicy and I ended up using the pork broth more. Portions were enough for my friend and I (both having skipped breakfast) to be completed satiated. All the ingredients were good quality and I enjoyed the variety. Service was prompt, water was always filled, and food arrived quickly. For context, the set comes with a cut of meat you choose and a tray of hotpot items, like lettuce, enoki mushrooms, imitation crab, shrimp balls, bean curd skin, spam, chicken, and so on. You can order unlimited servings of rice or noodles, which we took advantage of a couple times. At a buffet, in addition to concocting dipping sauces you can get unlimited helpings of kimchi, seaweed salad, AND dessert - think taro balls, ice jelly, red bean, popping boba, diced dragon fruit and mango, marshmallows, orange slices, gummy bears, etc. Don't forget there's free vanilla ice cream, which the waiter offered to us at the very end, long after we'd stuffed ourselves. The ambience of this restaurant feels more polished and tidy than that of other hotpot spots where AYCE is the only draw. You'll see that reflected in perhaps the slightly higher prices here, but the quality is there and the lunch set is a good deal IMO. In total (tax + tip) I forked out $39, which is not bad for this experience; there is no shortage of bougie brunches in the city that will rack up a much higher bill.
