My group of 6 was able to get seated immediately at 1210 on a cold Saturday, but we definitly saw the place starting to get crowded round 1230-1. Overall I had a pretty good experience, they had a pretty good selection of items and quality of most of the items were pretty good. Taking a star off for a few things though: we ordered two portions of the steak rib eye, and for some reason one of the rib eyes was really thick + we wanted to cancel the seafood platter when it hadn't been brought out to us yet and were told we couldn't because nobody else was ordering it. I really enjoyed the tomato broth, and they had a good selection of sauces and fruits and a sweet desserty soup that you could help yourself to! Would definitely come back again
Love the decor here! Overall the hot pot was decent if you aren't trying to eat a lot of meat. We order a beef and a beef tongue, felt like meat quality was kinda mid. We liked the vegetables and the shrimp paste more. The spicy broth was super spicy even when it's mild You order your food through the iPad. Service here was good, we were able to get a server's attention pretty easily& and the server came around with help us with the shrimp paste and add more soup without us having to flag them down.
Real deal. Mango shaved ice. This is an amazing little hot pot joint in Koreatown. Order anything. Whatever suits your hot pot fancy. It's all awesome and perfect late night comfort food in New York. We went back as soon as they opened the next morning for another round of the mango snow ice. (Sounds strange but it made the perfect breakfast) The snowy, flaky goodness changed our lives and we've been on a journey since to find its equal.
First time for us to try a Chinese hot pot. The waitress was very nice and did provide great advices. You can get on top of the broth a lot of ads-on like beef, chicken, mushrooms, tofu etc... and you can add pasta to do a sort of ramen. The food had a lot of great flavors. Overall, this is a great place.
TLDR: If you are looking for spicy Sichuan style hot pot in the city, look no further than ER. Conveniently near Herald Square, pretty on par quality-wise with Flushing. Stopped in during the week for a work lunch. Tables were a bit tight but then again this is Midtown so not surprising. Ordering is done on an iPad as is customary nowadays. Went with the pork bone broth and the spicy broth. Both were flavorful, most meats were cooked in the spicy one and veggies in the pork bone. Fish was probably my favorite and quite reasonable at about $5 per order. All the other staple items were good, shrimp paste, tofu skin rolls, fish roe balls, etc. Extra points because they got aprons, so you can hot pot even in a suit!
Oy, $80 for a la carte hot pot for two people. This place is priiiiicey. But I guess it's what they need to do to stay afloat in Midtown Manhattan. Pro tip: Arrive at 5:30pm on a Monday night, and you won't have to wait. By 7:30pm, though, the place is packed. Best broth was the Pork Soup base, and the best items were the Handpulled Noodles. They need more leafy greens besides napa cabbage, lettuce and tong hua. Some bok choy, yu choy or Chinese broccoli would be great.
Thought the broths were okay, the spicy one was very oily and it was pretty pricey. I liked how you could just walk in and they had good sauce selection!
Not my favorite hot pot but suitable for midtown im sure because of the lack of competition. The hot pots are super old, burnt, and worn out (see photo), i believe these are called cancerous aluminum/stainless steel pots at this point. You would think they can afford to buy new pots
Excellent new hot pot location in ktown. Went early around 6pm to beat the dinner rush. There isn't a ton of seating so I could see it becoming difficult to get a table during rush hour. Portions are a little bit smaller than other hot pot places, but for us it works out since we aren't huge volume eaters, and it also works out to a much more reasonable price point. usually we're close to $200 but here the bill came out to ~120. I also noticed that the spicy hot pot soup was easier on my stomach, so i think they do a better job of preparing the sauce here. highly recommended!
ER Hot Pot has two midtown locations and is always busy! We joined the (Minitable) waitlist online, and our table was ready in around 45 minutes for Sunday dinner. I would recommend joining the waitlist before you plan on arriving. It is a more premium hot pot experience where you pay per item. The restaurant is hip with bright neon signs and clean with bins to store your belongings so they don't smell like hot pot. We opted for the two types of broth - pork leg bone and spicy. The spicy broth definitely had the mala/numbing flavor so be prepared (but maybe I'm a baby for spice). I found the broth to be rich and flavorful, while not too fatty. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, but it is pricier than other AYCE hot pot options in Manhattan Chinatown. Favorite ingredients were the Class A beef roll, taro, quail eggs, enoki mushrooms and handmade noodles (so chewy and delicious). They have some exotic dishes too like tripe, feet, pig ears, etc. For a party of four with some non-alcoholic beverages, the bill came out to ~$150 (~$38 pp) and we left incredibly full and satisfied. I would recommend ER Hot Pot if you are in Midtown looking for a more upscale hot pot experience without too long of a wait.

For this price, we could even go to Keen's steakhouse across from the street for a nice fine dining dinner
We got here early in the evening so we didn't have to wait too much. We opted for a two person meal and just paid for extra sauce. So we ordered lamb, pork belly, and marinated beef. The marinated beef was not the move for hot pot. When it went into the broth it got super tough and also soggy? The breading on the chicken was more for stir fry and not hot pot. The lamb was good but my favorite was pork belly! The veggies were yummy too. I can't remember what flavors of the broth we got, but the spicy one was super spicy. Which is to be expected, I just can't handle it. The atmosphere is nice because they played a lot of pop covers sung by Asian artists.
The restaurant is clean and has character. The food/meat/ vegetables are fresh. It has oranges and cantaloupe as side dishes. A lot of source/seasonings to choose from. Also, it has 2 types of Chinese sweet soups that free to eat. The service is great, the staff is very responsive and quick to help you.

It is a very causal place for hotpot. The soup base isn't as oily like other hotpot restaurant. Food is quite simple and fresh. The most important take home point is I don't have diarrhea after I got home like other hotpot restaurants. lol read more
Really good hot pot with great broth, meat, and veggie options. Usually, I would never order chicken, but the chicken here is quite good, very tender and moist. They also have goose intestine, which I have not seen in any other hot pot places. It's thin and very chewy. read more

My friend and I were craving Hot Pot and this was close to K-town. So, being experienced eaters in Flushing we were excited to see what K-Town would bring. Food: 3.5/5 I was honestly disappointed with menu. I was expecting duck tongue to be avaliable but it wasn't. I even had my friend (native Chinese) read the Chinese menu in case I missed it. But, it was not there. The veggie and meat selection were okay nothing particularly interesting. We ordered the pork knuckles, but there were not anything to write home about. Service : 5/5 Candidly, this is not a western restaurant. You order the food by yourself, you make your sauce by yourself, and you can call staff via the tablet. I am not disappointed by this at all. All in all, I am not sure if I would go back since I have had better Hot Pot in Flushing. But if I am stuck in Manhattan, maybe? read more

My favourite hotpot place in NYC currently. The spicy broth is so rich and buttery and spicy. The tomato broth is tangy and slightly sweet. The ingredients (lamb, beef, pork, shrimp paste, quail eggs, fish roe balls, etc) are fresh and taste incredible! The meats are of excellent quality. Plus they have virtually all the ingredients one can dream of putting into the hotpot. The pricing is very worth it by NYC standards, where I find myself spending less than some shops in Flushing but yet feeling more full. The dipping sauces are also good, nice sesame and peanut flavours with crunch from the peanut bits. The most magical thing I've tried at this hotpot place was ordering fried dough sticks and fried pork belly and dipping them in the tomato broth. The dough sticks soak up the broth and the fried pork gives a hint of sweet and sour pork, so delicious! read more
So excited there is a hot pot place in midtown! Word is spreading fast so join the waitlist (I think there is one anyway) or see if you can make a reservation. It was a 45 min wait when we first got there on a Sunday night for a party of two, but luckily when we turned away, they were able to squeeze a table for us. I loved that they had fresh handmade noodles as an option, which were delicious, and that they had a ton of unique toppings you don't ordinarily find at other hot pot places (like duck tongue skewers and shrimp paste - both of which I enjoyed surprisingly). I also enjoyed their fish fillets and tofu thread noodles. I didn't love how expensive it was. It ended up being $170 for dinner for the two of us, and they charge $2.99pp for the sauce bar, which I have never heard of (I will note the sauce bar includes edamame and sliced oranges as a snack and dessert). I also was not a fan of their fried tofu skins - they are much better at 99 favor taste, though my husband seemed to like them. But overall, I'm really glad there is a good hot pot place in midtown now. Will probably return - will just have to remember it's not AYCE and moderate what we order! read more
Pluses: - conveniently located in Ktown area - cheaper than some of the other Sichuan hot pot places in the city - that beef tallow hot pot broth is so good. It's less spicy than other places though so go one level higher spicy than you usually do. - duck broth was also good - very duck-y. Minuses: - no plum juice - no bing fen / ice jelly dessert - omg the table height is meant for little kids? Or a discreet effort to increase table turnover rate by making your dining experience subtly uncomfortable? Overall a good addition to the Sichuan hot pot scene. I would only go at an odd hour to avoid having to wait. read more
Really authentic Sichuan hot pot spot near ktown! There was no wait for a table for lunch on Saturday. Lots of menu item choices. I recommend the brown sugar rice cake for an appetizer. Sauce bar was free for us and the food was reasonably priced. It was about $100 (before tax and tip) for 3 of us (but my family and I don't eat very much) and we took home leftovers. Ambience was chill. The restaurant played old school Big Bang music which brought back college time nostalgias In summary, definitely one of the better hot pot spots in Manhattan. Visited New York and came here for dinner. We waited 30 minutes to be seated. I love that there were a lot choices for sauces. The service was good although some of our orders were put on a separate cart and no one told us it was there until we asked for the missing orders. read more

I went to ER Hotpot for a late night dinner. I signed up for the waitlist which works well in updating the queue. The restaurant is less spacious than other hotpot places outside NYC. The quality of the food is good and the restaurant is clean. The staff is quite attentive. For a group-friendly restaurant, I was disappointed that they can't split the check more than halfway. Also, they were almost out of drink options. read more

I rarely find hot pot restaurants in New York City that have the same kind of ambiance and feel compared to their mainland counterparts. I was pleasantly surprised to see a variety of items that I have eaten so fondly in the past available to order. I ordered the classic yuanyangguo with all of the fixings to match. Other than the meat and veggies, one item that really stood out was the fried pork belly with cumin. Really delicious. Make sure you try the orange soda called bei bing yang! Some of the best tasting orange soda I've had. If you are trying to get authentic Chinese flavors without going heavy on the carbs (rice/noodles), hot pot is a very keto-friendly option. The only hotpot place in midtown! This hotpot place is so good!! I think the location is very convenient and the food is super good. You can order on a tablet and the food gets served very promptly. They have orange slices, grapes, and kelp as side dishes that you can grab on your own by the sauce table. The soup bases are great! It is pretty spicy for the spicy beef one, so just make sure you can handle it! They have wet wipes as well. The only thing is the wait is so long. I think we waited for almost two hours to get a table. read more
Seems to have a long wait time in the evening. This is not an All you can eat Hotpot place. Ambiance of the restaurant was like typical Chinese restaurants. I was pretty excited to try this new hotpot place, but it was a disappointment. Meat quality was not that good. But other items were fresh. Also we had to share two kinds of soups only. Fruits were fresh but they charge them separately. Would I come back? I'd rather try another place. read more

Recently came here for a "work lunch". I am glad that it's not too crowded during weekday lunch time. Ordered the mild spicy soup broth and duck soup with pickled radish, both soup broths are flavorful. I was impressed by the sauce station, it's clean and organized, each smaller section (maybe 4 sauces) has a lid, which is a plus. Last but not least, thumbs up for the attentive service. It's nice to finally have an authentic hot pot spot in midtown, definitely consider coming back if I am in the area and craving for hot pot. read more

Last time I had a hot pod meal was in Shanghai, had to try this one with my family here in NY because we don't have it where we live and OMG! We loved it! They have a lot of choices, the sauce bar is everything you need, the service is excellent, though you might have to wait for a little while if you go during rush hour. The place is super clean and everything was just PERFECT! So perfect we had to go again and visit twice while in NY. read more
It's a pretty good spot for hot pot. The restaurant is very modern and the taste is pretty good. The pickle duck soup is surprisingly good. Compared to the hot pot places in Flushing, this place lacks the variety of food in general. Some of my typical hot pot dishes are not on the menu here. I'm glad Manhattan has another decent choice. Food quality is amazing! Love the atmosphere as well, its very inviting. Logistically everything is well done, Napkins are under your table, you can pack your bag or coat away on the side of the chair. Service is really quick during a busy time, also their toilets are heated and very comforting lol read more
