This was a good hotpot place. I dined with friends as a party of 4, and we paid about $50 each and left pretty full. You order a la carte here, which racks up the price pretty quickly. However, this means if you don't finish any of the ingredients they pack it up for you. There were certain misses such as the staff not providing any serving utensils (tongs, ladles, etc.), but there is a call button on the iPad, to which they respond quickly. The volume is medium in the space, and their hot pot tables are quite large that we felt really far away from our friends on the opposite side lol. While this meant that we had ample room for the food we ordered, it wasn't the easiest to have a conversation, so keep that in mind. They offer an AYCE option but only after 9pm, from what I understand.
Soup base is really good. Very pricey. You can pack your soups to go as you pay for it! Very spacious and comfortable sitting. Servers are very attentive.
Da Long Yi Hot Pot was a solid hotpot option with a few tradeoffs. Setting: Spacious and has more seating in the back, which makes it great for group dining. Service: Efficient and attentive, especially for a hotpot spot! Food: After 9pm on weekdays, they have a late night AYCE! We tried the mushroom and beef tallow broths, which were super flavorful. The beef tallow was very spicy, so be warned. The sauce bar was lacking without sesame paste, and the veggie, seafood, and meat options felt more limited compared to other New York hot pot spots. The cooked dishes that come with the AYCE were delicious and I highly recommend them!

When we got there, there were only a few other tables seated so it was pretty empty. We got à la carte style, they only have AYCE options after a certain time at night. The meat was fresh tasting and same with their vegetables. We got the Benz option for hotpot, a spicy broth, pork bone broth, and tomato broth. The servers were attentive in helping us refill the broth and refilling our water. Definitely a lot calmer on a weeknight. Would come back again!

I've also come for the normal à la carte menu, which has a slightly bigger menu but is obviously pricier than the AYCE. Ingredients are high quality, and there is a decent variety to choose from. Service is quick and I've never had to wait to be seated. The space inside is pretty large with lots of wide booths/tables suitable for groups. Overall, this is a solid neighborhood hot pot restaurant, especially if you can catch the AYCE deal.
Winter time is such a good excuse for hotpot. So you bet I'm always on the hunt for a good hotpot. It was easy to make same day resy for 6 people. The sauce bar was very clean and had good options. Everything was easy to order through the ipad. The only thing that bothered me was how small the water cups are, its sooooo small.
My party ordered the pork bone and mushroom broth. I preferred the mushroom broth, but both were very flavorful! We ordered an assortment of meats and veggies. The ingredients were fresh and clean. The broth is really the star of the show. Service was very attentive, as they will ensure to fill your soup base and assist with the shrimp paste. Total for my party of two was around $140.
Some of the best hotpot I've had outside of Flushing! Made a reservation for a Friday night for four people and had a great dinner here. Chicken broth, mushroom broth and Spicy broth all hit in different ways. Ingredients were really good, and overall I felt it was a great value. P.S. I could live on the unlimited and very addictive cabbage at the sauce bar.
Delicious hotpot! We went at 9 for the AYCE, and there was so much variety! Each item came with just a few pieces (at least when we went with a group of 2) so you can finish and try multiple things. They do charge by the pound if you don't finish, so make sure you don't order too much! The side dishes were also Soo good that I couldn't get everything I wanted. And same with the desserts! Will be coming back! It wasn't too crowded when we went but it did start filling up around 10pm.

The inside of the restaurant is pretty spacious and has lots of tables, but I would still recommend a reservation as it was pretty busy when I went. The service is very attentive here and quick. I got three different broths when I went, and they were all delicious. We also ordered a number of meats, veggies, and seafood and the quality was pretty good as well. I also loved the sauce bar here and thought that they had a good selection of different ingredients to make sauces. Great hot pot spot in LIC and I would definitely come back!
This has become my go to AYCE hotpot place for a weeknight meal with friends at LIC. For those that love spice, the spicy broth is one of the most numbing spice in a hotpot broth I had in a while, but this does not take away from the rest of the flavors. The menu consists of plenty of the standard options such as beef/pork/lamb slices and a few seafood options such as shrimp and scallop. Included drink options includes canned soda, herbal jelly tea, soy milk, and coconut milk. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was always quick at night as there are not as many tables filled. Staff are always friendly and attentive.
I was craving hotpot, but not AYCE at that time so came here as I've tried the other ones in LIC. There wasn't a wait which was great since I arrived before the dinner and ayce rush. It was clean and the staff were nice and friendly. But sometimes it was difficult to communicate with them so they had to get a translator. Once you know what to order there's an iPad to pick the soup bases and food items. It wasn't difficult. It ended up being a bit pricey since it all adds up. But at least you're not rushed and they keep filling up the soup bases in a timely manner.

AYCE is unbeatable I try to come once a month when I'm feeling hotpot. Come on weekdays for the deal, I would say a la carte is not worth Servers cant speak english so just point and order from the screen read more
Food: Da Long Yi is one of my favorite hot pot places, and I was sad when they closed their Manhattan Chinatown location. I decided to give the LIC location a try while I was in the area and was pleasantly surprised to see the menu was AYCE. Currently, their menu is AYCE for $36.99 (Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm - 10:30pm) which includes the broth, many hot pot items, and soft drinks. The broth here is excellent and one of my favorite broths out of all hot pot restaurants; I had the spicy beef tallow and tomato. I would also recommend getting their handmade shrimp paste. Food items were generally good, but some items weren't the freshest such as the scallops (very fishy and not edible). Service: Service was phenomenal. Staff members were very attentive and friendly. My empty dishes were constantly being cleared, and they came to refill my broth many times throughout the meal. They are also always circling to see if you need anything. Ambiance: There wasn't anything special about the ambiance. Seating was comfortable and spacious. Cushions on the seats were very worn out and peeling. Overall, I would recommend this hot pot restaurant! read more
Super flavorful spot in LIC. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was basically empty, which honestly was perfect--no wait, no fighting for attention, just smooth service the whole time. You order everything off an iPad, which makes it really easy to just tap what you want without overthinking it. Food came out fast too--like, surprisingly fast. Just a heads up: the spicy broth is actually spicy. Not "cute spicy," not "New York spicy"... it has a real kick, so proceed accordingly. read more

Came here on a Monday night for their AYCE with 3 other people. We came here a little before 9 and they wouldn't seat us until it was exactly 9, which was understandable. The AYCE options were relatively limited comparing to other AYCE places that I've been to but it was still pretty decent. We picked the bone broth and spicy broth. They both tasted great but just be aware that the spicy broth was very spicy even if you choose the least spicy option. I would recommend scooping some of the oil blocks and peppers out if you can't handle spice well. The AYCE also came with one portion of shrimp paste and one tender beef with egg per table. They were both only okay. The shrimp paste was too soft and we just didn't really like the texture of the tender beef. Overall, we had a great time here. The AYCE was only $30 per person pre tax and tips, which was pretty cheap. I only know one other place in NYC that's cheaper than this place but it's all the way in Flushing. I wish their AYCE will start earlier but I will definitely come back in the future! read more
Sunday night at Da Long Yi Hot Pot in New York was a win--no wait for our group of 7! We went for 3 'Value Combos for 2,' a 'Carnivore' platter, and added extra veggies & seafood. You can choose up to 3 soup bases, which made it even better. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, not packed at all, making for a comfortable dining experience. The tablet ordering was super convenient, and they were really accommodating for my friend's allergies. Plus, the dust bag for your belongings was a nice touch, and a sauce bar to create the perfect flavor combo! read more

I'm critical when it comes to hot pot but this place hits the mark. The beef tallow soup is pretty good- very spicy at least. The chicken and pork tendon base blew us away though. Vegetables were really high quality and well cut. I appreciate their sauce / side bar- keeping it simple and good with 2 dishes: pickled cabbage and spicy peanuts my faves!! And then their sauce bar had some house spicy sauce that was just fantastic. The beef is decent and the spicy soup was good, but it's comparable to other spots when it comes to quality and price point. However some of the other soup bases, the vegetable quality and the sauce bar definitely makes this place a new favorite. Service is super quick, I didn't even notice them take our empty plates away so quickly. Ambiance, I came in on a Saturday night in NYC summertime so there were people but it wasn't bustling. I can still hear everyone talk so that's good. read more

I think for novice hot potters we needed a litttle more guidance than what was given. All the food was ordered via a tablet. Everything was good but warning the mildest spicy broth is SPICY and I can handle spice. read more
Da Long Yi Hot Pot is a chain restaurant from Chengdu, Sichuan that has expanded globally. We had been to the Manhattan Chinatown location and wanted to try LIC. It is a more premium hot pot experience where you pay per item. The restaurant is clean and relatively quiet, and they have a big drawstring bag to store your belongings so they don't smell like hot pot. We opted for the split broth - pork leg bone and spicy. As a Sichuan restaurant, the spicy broth definitely had the mala/numbing flavor so be prepared (but maybe I'm a baby for spice). I found the broth to be rich and flavorful, while not too fatty. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, but it is pricier than other AYCE hot pot options and didn't have as many vegetable options. Favorite ingredients were the prime beef slice, fish roe ball, taro, quail eggs, and fried soybean roll. For a party of five with 6 beers, the bill came out to ~$300 (~$60 pp) and we left incredibly full and satisfied. I would recommend Da Long Yi Hot Pot if you are in LIC looking for a more upscale hot pot experience without too long of a wait. read more

Came on a Sunday night around 5pm, so no wait! But I can see this place getting busier on weekend evenings. We got the 2 person value meal, which came with angus beef, sliced beef brisket, a basket of veggies, wood ear mushrooms, mung bean noodles, and fresh tofu skin. We also got the split pot with spicy beef and tomato soup bases. Both broths were rich in flavor and tomato base was great to drink even on its own! Overall pretty okay if you get one of their combo meals, and they have a wide variety of Chinese drinks available as well. Servers were attentive and came back a few times to check on us throughout the meal. It was expensive for what you're getting though, and you can definitely find better options in flushing or Chinatown. read more

We were in Queens for the night and I was craving for some spicy hot pot. Checked out a couple of Google recommendations and found this. Our go to is typically Haidilao which is amazing but noticed that Da Long has spicier options. We had the extreme spicy beef broth. The server asked us a couple times if we're sure. I don't think he's seen too many people have this broth and said be warned. We had a bunch of mushroom, rice cake, duck liver, short rib, lamb and sirloin. Everything was amazing. The heat was perfect, I got my spice high. Definitely visiting again Great find read more
I went to the new location of Da Long Yi hot pot in Long Island City. It is a beautiful space and they have an enclosed garden area with so much light. There's a big selection of food for Hotpot. The service was very attentive and we enjoyed the visit. read more
The hot pot broths were the best Ive ever had. I really enjoyed the pork broth and tomato broth. They had enough flavor for all the things you put in the broth. I didn't try the spicy broth because I can't handle spicy. The portions are great for Al la cart. They give a lot of fish. The regular red meat is the normal plate size. The sauce station has mushroom salad which is kind of spicy. The pineapples were ripe and the oranges were flavorful. I highly recommend coming here with a group of 2-4 people. They do have tables for larger groups but it would be harder to share the pot. read more

Da Long Yi isn't all you can eat, but quality wise it might be one of the best hot pot places I've had! Each table has a code that you scan to order (Everyone can add into the order but one person sends it to the server). We got an assortment of vegetables, meats, and other hotpot essentials and all of them really hit the spot! I particularly enjoyed the crab paste as it was really fresh tasting compared to other places I've had. I will say though... they really mean it when they say the spicy broth is spicy so be prepared if you decide to order it for your soup base. There's also a wide variety of sauces and condiments in the back along with ample seating for larger parties. Da Long Yi is probably on the pricier side for non AYCE hotpot places, but I think for the quality of ingredients it's well worth it! read more

Da Long Yi is one of the most authentic and delicious hot pot places in NYC and allows BYOB. Both the broths and ingredients options are high quality and fresh and the menu is huge. They recently started providing a table-side ordering tablet which has pictures of every menu item, which is very helpful for anyone unfamiliar with traditional hot pot. Not being AYCE, the price point can be a little higher than some other hot pot restaurants but they offer "2 person Value Combo" for $66 (excl. broth prices), which includes two meats, veggie platter, mushroom, meatball and noodles of your choice and is quite filling. A typical bill for two is around $90-$120 and you leave satisfied and stuffed! Reservation is recommended for weekends and any cold/rainy/snowy, hot pot cravable weather! read more
