Xiang La Hot Pot in Koreatown was such an awesome hot pot experience to do with my friends! The place is so big and clean, especially their nice sauce station and ice cream section. They do à la carte style hot pot so you order everything you want off their pad at the table and you can do 4 broths like we did! I loved the spicy broth and the tomato broth. The flavors of the soup really added to the ingredients being cooked. The meat and seafood quality was very good! Once we placed our order, everything came out in under 10 minutes.

Located smack in the middle of k town. This is The most unbeatable lunch special in Manhattan. For $19 you get a generous portion of two type of sliced beef, veggies, tofu and noodles plus your choice of soup base. Lunch also comes with slushy drinks, side dishes, sauce bar and ice cream and coffee. Service is great. Love the booth seating.

Went for the lunch special and it was amazing. A great hidden gem. The beef hotpot w mushroom broth, was delicious. A very chill vibe and totally enjoyable. An extra perk is the free coffee, ice cream, and slushies. Everything tasted so good and despite the very generous amount, I only had a little left to take home.Definitely check this place out.

Solid hot pot and not my favorite however, the meat quality was all pretty good. Something that's stuck out to me about this place as they had a slushy machine and it was really good to mix drinks in. They also have hair ties at the unlimited sauce bar so that was really good.

I saw this spot on Tiktok for its $19 lunch deal and had to check it out. Located in K-town, it's a great, affordable, and convenient spot to grab a bite with friends. When I went during lunch on a weekday, there was plenty of space and it was super clean. Service was very quick and attentive. My friend and I both did their beef and seafood hot pot lunch special and it was delicious. The quality of all the ingredients was great and the broths were delicious. The portion was actually a lot bigger than expected and I was stuffed by the end (neither my friend or I finished our food). Would definitely recommend their lunch special and I would love to come back.

Here's the revised Google and Yelp review: The bipolar NYC weather had me craving something warm and comforting and Xiang La Hot Pot in Koreatown delivered in the best way possible They specialize in Sichuan style hot pot and one of the standout features is being able to have 4 different broths in one pot. We went with the spicy jasmine, mala, tomato and mushroom broth. Fair warning, they are not kidding about the spice level, the spicy jasmine and mala broths are seriously intense, especially once the cabbage and tofu start absorbing all that heat. My personal favorites ended up being the mushroom and tomato broths which were rich, comforting and incredibly flavorful The menu has a great variety of options including meats, vegetables and cooked dishes like the spicy mala rice cakes, Chinese bbq skewers and fried spring rolls. Standout picks for me were the shrimp paste balls, beef slices and lamb for protein, and mushrooms, cabbage and lotus roots for vegetables The sauce bar is a highlight on its own, with so many combinations to create your perfect dipping sauce. The complimentary unlimited fruit including sliced oranges, honeydew melon and salted peanuts is a really nice touch, and the free soft serve ice cream at the end, including a yogurt vanilla flavor that tastes just like Asian yogurt drinks, is the perfect way to cool down after all that spice The $19 lunch special is an incredible value and with hours running until midnight on weekdays and 2am on weekends this is a great spot any time of day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a solid and affordable hot pot experience in NYC

The hot pot game is strong with this one.... As I've previously noted, Midtown Manhattan is now saturated with authentic hot pot restaurants. You can't throw a stone without hitting some pork bone (see what I did there)? Where soulless corporate suits decreased, steaming bowls of mala oil increased. And I'm here for it. The latest on the soupy train is Xiang La. Don't let the second floor K-Town location fool you. This place is as legit as it comes, from the umami goji-infused Pork Bone Broth to the tingly anise-saturated Mala Broth we yin-yanged. The ingredients were as fresh and well-cut as you could want, and unlike some competitors, Xiang La offers plenty of dark leafy greens to satisfy your fibrous tooth. The meat and seafood were similarly pleasing (though less fibrous), with none of that Wagyu mark-up that makes me roll my eyes. Perhaps best of all, they don't charge for their sauce bar....and their sauce bar includes SACHA SAUCE (a must for Taiwanese hot pot lovers)! Plus, they're savvy enough to take advantage of their choice location with late-night offerings like $39 AYCE hot pot after 11pm and discounted alcohol. Let's be real, if you've just danced and drunk your face off at Mission or whatever, what sounds more delicious than a rich, savory bowl of DIY soup?

I had a chance to stop by this new spot in k-town next to h-mart. It's located on the 2nd floor in the building next door where you can either walk up or use the elevator to get there. The inside is brand new and felt super clean including the bathrooms. There was no wait on a Saturday night and the staff were all super friendly. For broths we chose the special handmade beef oil broth (spicy) and the pork bone broth. For food, we had the Wagyu chuck roll, New Zealand lamb roll, Crown Daisy (highly recommend), pumpkin, and Chinese yam. They also have a nice sauce station which includes free slushies! They had Grape and Mango flavors which were really nice on the side with the spicy food! It's definitely on the medium to higher end for hotpot price but the quality of the food seemed good enough to match the price.

I picked up my mealpal order today. Got home and found the spring rolls are missing. Very disappointed.

Tried Xiang La Hotpot in ktown and it hit the spot. The soup bases were so good, rich and flavorful, exactly what you want when you're craving comfort. I love that they offer lunch and late-night dinner sets at such a good price! Everything was satisfying & they have great quality meats. Also, they offer complimentary ice cream as well. Definitely one of those spots you can keep going back to!

Decent hot pot spot in an unassuming 2nd floor location. Good ambiance, ample seating even for larger groups. Meat selection was alright (got the post 9pm wagyu set), cubes are an interesting choice for hot pot. Would have appreciated more variety in the set (mainly mushrooms and a few selection of greens). Sauce bar also did not have the largest selection, but covered the basics.

Website banner says that the much deal is until 3pm but they did not honor it and said it's wrong

Came here at the end of December because of their advertised lunch special for $19. The pop up banner on the homepage of their website clearly says it's available until 3pm. (I took a screenshot today in January 2026 to show that their website still says this). I arrived at 2:10pm. This place is located on the second floor of a building. There's stairs and elevator access. Things were not great upon first arrival. There was a long line of people waiting to be seated and the workers didn't seem to be very phased at that and were slowly making their way around to seat people. I finally got seated all the way in the back corner away from everything and was handed the tablet to order. I start scrolling up and down and through all the menu tabs looking for the $19 deal. I even looked around and saw sandwich boards advertising the deal. I tapped on the "call for help" button as I didn't see any staff around to wave down (or they were all far in the other side of the restaurant anyway) and waited. No one came so I pushed the call button again and it said that I already pushed it and can repush after 5 min. I sat there patiently waiting. No one ever came after 5 min so I pushed it again and waited. I eventually got up and flagged down a worker and asked about the lunch special and that I can't find it on the tablet. He then just said we don't have it, it's done. I ask but isn't it until 3pm? And he just tells me no. I then show him the website on the phone (not a screenshot, but the actual website on my phone browser) and pointed to the pop up banner. He tells me the website is wrong and walks away. I'm speechless and follow up and tell him to please cancel my check as I no longer want to dine. Terrible experience.

For their…read moredinner menu, you can do AYCE hotpot and bbq for ~$43pp, which also includes appetizers and some drinks. For alcoholic drinks, such as soju and beer, you can add ~$7pp for AYCD. The tables are spacious and the place is bright. We ordered a variety of meats and veggies for hotpot and bbq and it was alright. The hot pot is definitely better than the bbq as the meat quality was too fatty for bbq. Moreover, because they don't change the grills, the oils from the meat just pool onto the grill and the meats get really oily to eat after a while. We also got the fried chicken, spring rolls, and fried buns apps and I thought that the chicken and buns were good but the spring rolls were okay. The only thing I would have to say is that the service isn't the best. Although they are kind, half of the things we ordered never arrived or we had to constantly ask them to bring it out/check on our order.

I loved this place!…read more I came here on a late Friday night, probably around 8pm and was glad that they were still opened. We were greeted very welcomely and was seated right away. It was unusually cold in NY during this time (5/23/25) and initially we were seated by the door where we would catch the cold draft every time the door opened. We asked if we can switch seats and the waiter was more than helpful. I feel bad for not getting his name, because he was very helpful throughout the entire dinner service, but, I've been walking around in the cold all day and the only thing that was on my mind at that time, was a nice warm meal. I've done a lot of Chinese hotpots and this was the first that we get the soup and grill without a price difference. The selections were typical, some may say less than other places, but, I felt that less was better. When there is too much to chose from, you don't know what to pick or pick too much. The one thing that I did missed was fresh tofu. They had a variety of tofu but not fresh tofu. But, I probably shouldn't waste my stomach space on tofu for and AYCE, anyway, lol! We opt for an non-spicy and a spicy soup base. If you are like me and do not like mala (numbing spice), I would not recommend getting a spicy soup base. Even my cousin, that does like mala, said it was a little overbearing after a while. If you do love spicy, like me, they have a condiment station to make your own sauce and have several chili options to chose from that is not numbing spice. For the price and selections, I feel that it was very satisfying. I really enjoyed their homemade peach and kumquat lemon tea; but, order fast because once it's gone, you are out of luck! The place was clean and the noise level was average. I think this is the best Chinese hotpot place that I have experienced in USA and would definitely go back!

I decided to give the LIC location a try while I was in the area and was pleasantly surprised to see the menu was AYCE. Currently, their menu is AYCE for $36.99 (Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm - 10:30pm) which includes the broth, many hot pot items, and soft drinks. The broth here is excellent and one of my favorite broths out of all hot pot restaurants; I had the spicy beef tallow and tomato. I would also recommend getting their handmade shrimp paste. Food items were generally good, but some items weren't the freshest such as the scallops (very fishy and not edible). Service: Service was phenomenal. Staff members were very attentive and friendly. My empty dishes were constantly being cleared, and they came to refill my broth many times throughout the meal. They are also always circling to see if you need anything. Ambiance: There wasn't anything special about the ambiance. Seating was comfortable and spacious. Cushions on the seats were very worn out and peeling. Overall, I would recommend this hot pot restaurant!
