I do know when I pulled out my debit card she increased the total for "credit" then a giant screen popped up asking for either a $1, $2, $3 tip. That's over 20% on donuts that I already over paid for lol. Tipping culture is pretty insane and inflation too but expecting customers to pay nearly $2 for a tiny donut is ridiculous. Donuts aren't anything spectacular. Save yourself and visit another shop. Or grab a donut at the grocery store.

The customer service felt unwelcoming, particularly if you are not a regular or clearly part of the local crowd. The vibe was more cold than hospitable, which is disappointing for a place that clearly sees a lot of foot traffic. As for the food, the donuts are actually pretty decent and show some promise. However, the sausage in the kolaches was a letdown in both flavor and quality and detracted from what could have been a solid offering. The bread used for the biscuits and similar items is also very specific to this shop and while some may enjoy it, it was not to my taste and felt more odd than comforting. Overall, this is a spot with potential but inconsistent execution. Between the unfriendly atmosphere and uneven food quality, it is hard to justify more than two stars despite the good location, size, selection, and pricing.

Instead of doing the traditional birthday cake I reached out to BearCat Donuts for a customized peanut allergy free donut. They knocked it out of the park with a decorative box and a custom made 1 and 4 donut with various flavors and colors of donuts holes. It presented beautifully and was a hit with everyone. This special order was a first for BearCat Donuts and I have to say the customer service and the donuts were amazing! I will definitely be starting a new birthday tradition!
