We have been to the Douglas a few times and the food is great! The cocktails are very well done, definitely recommend the old fashioned. Im surprised it's not busier I assume it's the parking which is kind of a small lot. But the service is excellent, Taylor and Mackenzie in particular make the experience really nice! Not worth it. I was excited to eat here beforehand. But never again. First upon arrival, the hostess couldn't be bothered from texting. Then two servers argued over who was going to sit us because "it wasn't her turn/table." Then our server talked about "how bad this place is and this is why she's leaving, etc." Clearly everyone working here hates their job. finally at least 4 dishes on the menu... they were out of. Literally the only good thing on the menu was the smoked old fashion that they smoke at the table and over pour. Please note this is in a hotel. They should just let this place plummet and turn it into a hotel buffet and get it over with. read more

The good-ish: Friendly staff who tries, but somewhat clueless. Food that's out of season, but still good. The bad: Serving a winter menu in the middle of summer; heavy stews, pot pies, lentil bowls, drinks with peppercorns. Charging $28-$52 per plate, with servers running food in jorts and AF1's; it just doesn't match. Nowhere to park, likely why it's mostly dead on a Thursday night. This restaurant is either poorly managed or they've given up and are trying to make it through until they get purchased by another owner. read more

We moved to Parker last summer, and had only checked out a few bar and grills since then. We wanted to celebrate at a fine dining establishment for New Year's Eve, as we had friends from Washington, D.C. visiting. We hoped to show them the best that Parker had to offer. Our food was fantastic. Our server, Taylor, was friendly, responsive, and had a great sense of humor. Marissa, the hostess, recommended the Lobster Mac and Cheese, and it was tremendous. Two of our party had rainbow trout, cooked to perfection with an incredible rub. The fourth member of our party had Atlantic Salmon. He raved about the garlic spinach side as well as the main dish itself. We will definitely return. read more

Went on a Friday night and the place was dead. Drinks were good. Food was not that great especially for the price. Duck wings were wing jerky. Wellington had a soggy exterior and a strange taste. They also only gave us butter knifes. Service was not good. Wasn't sure who our server was cause everyone walked by and no one said anything. Waited and was about to walk out just as someone came to ask us what we wanted to drink. Kinda wish we had just left before she took our drink order. Only reason rating was not worse was they seem to have ok cocktails. If you happen to stay at the hotel which is very nice btw, I'd recommend trying to find somewhere else to go, unless you want a drink while waiting for your takeout to be delivered. read more

Took my son in here for a mother-son date tonight, Thursday. I had read all of the reviews and wasn't sure what to expect, but it was just lovely. The atmosphere was something Parker significantly lacks, upscale but not uptight, the food was delicious (steaks perfectly done), the drinks were great (espresso martini!), the service was perfect (Taylor!).... The only thing that made me sad was that we weren't sharing the experience with the rest of Parker - I think we were the only table.... This was our first time in and will definitely go back because until tonight I didn't think Parker had any other options for something other than bars, diners, fast food and dives. Rather disappointing experience. Ordered a smoked old fashion for $20 and it sat at the bar for 10 minutes. By the time it got to us there was no smoke flavor. Ordered a sirloin that was medium rare but very tough without flavor. Would not recommend or return. read more

Nice place with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Overall we were pleasantly surprised and I am very happy to have The Douglas in Parker and would encourage more high-end establishments for fine dining and cocktails in the area. 3 of us stopped by for a near $200 happy hour and while the appetizers we ate were very good, my gripe is with the bar and bartender. As a paying customer, when I am shelling out $17 for a single martini, I expect the freaking martini glass to be filled to the brim, not 3/4 of the way up making the drink feel more like a large shot. hopefully this was just a issue with the bartender that evening, will have to go back and update review accordingly. read more

I gave The Douglas one star for effort. The menu was appealing and the ambiance was inviting. My husband and I landed here as we were celebrating our anniversary. I left the place in tears; YES, it was that AWFUL, and no it was not the food or drinks. Everything was fine until the bartender, Ilaj, brought up politics, looking for the the people around her to agree with her point of view. By the way, I am a teacher, I teach middle school. Then when we didn't agree with her we were attacked by the people at the bar. Ultimately we were asked to leave. I can't write a review based on the one drunk racist in the bar, but I can hope that the people who run this establishment understand that their employees should not incite negative verbal discourse among customers. Needless to say, we, and everyone we can reach out to on social media, won't be going to this place. Ever. read more

Discovered this restaurant online when trying to find a place that wasn't already booked up ahead of a PACE Center concert. Read the reviews, and agree with others that it is astonishing this place is not packed. Lovely food, very friendly service despite being woefully understaffed. Mava was cheerful and so knowledgeable about the menu. Ordered the petite beef wellington as an appetizer which was delicious. Others recommended the short ribs which were indeed fork tender and wonderful. Also ordered the pork chop, which has a tasty char but was dry. Peach cheesecake dessert topped off this wonderful meal. The service was outstanding! The food was better than expected after reading some of the reviews. I had the Beef Wellington starter which was cooked to perfection. The homemade Focaccia bread and herb butter was very good but would've been better warm. The shaved brussel sprout salad was yummy and he plank fries had just the right amount of crispness. I mean...it was....... fine. The menu leads you to believe this is closer to fine dining, but the furnishings and atmosphere are boring and cheap-feeling. The food was.... again.... fine. Definitely not worth the prices they charge - at least, not the appetizers. We split a few. Did not try an entree. If the apps would have been $3-$4 less per dish, the price would have been more appropriate for what you got. Felt like they're trying to be something they're not. read more

My husband and I went to dinner last night at The Douglas. We love the ambiance. The drinks were good and the food was excellent! My steak melted in my mouth. They were out of a few items, but that didn't bother us. Our waitress was fun and polite. She was manning the bar and our table. I was impressed by her ability to do both. I do not typically write a review, but I was really impressed by the servers, food, specialty cocktails, and overall atmosphere. It's a great date night! read more
