We had an amazing experience here! The atmosphere felt warm and authentically Western, and the food was absolutely delicious--hearty, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The head cook came out to see what cheese we wanted with our pretzel and gave us both to try. The highlight was meeting the owner, Eddy, who was incredibly kind and took the time to chat with us. That personal touch made the visit even more special. Great food, great people, and a place we'll definitely be coming back to! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!

The Whiskey Lodge was down the street from where we were staying and we decided one night to take a walk and check things out. It was pretty dead when we went and there was only one other couple so we decided to sit at the bar. The lodge itself is pretty large and has lots of seating. They have a large assortment of whiskeys that you can sample or you can opt for a cocktail. I tried the Peat Sake: Boubon, maple, bitters, scotch mist. It was good and I'd definitely get it again. If you opt for a bourbon, pour just note that the standard size is 2 ounces and not 1 ounce. So if you only want 1 ounce, you have to make that clear because the person that helped us did not and we were a little surprised at the size of the pours. Service was ok. The person who was working was a little snobbish. I don't drink a ton of whiskey and I pronounced the name of something incorrectly and was immediately called out on it which was a little embarrassing. We also asked about hours because we saw two conflicting times and we got our heads bit off because this individual was ready to go home. Maybe he was having a bad night but customer service is the biggest thing that could be improved upon. We'll definitely stop in when we are in the area again.

This was a good outing with a large group. We kind of took over the patio area and had a good time. I got happy hour pricing on the fried pickles (I recommend them, they were sliced like chips and had a little spice to them, old fashioned (strong drink), and Avalanche amber ale on tap. Everything was great and the only thing I'd improve on is some faster service and a couple of the fried pickles were mushy. I wish I tried their Nashville chicken or the rib tips though...maybe next time. The bathroom was clean and I liked the environment overall. Parking seemed limited out front, just something to be aware of.

Wow Guys! What could have been a bad experience was made into a magical experience! To start we were attending a prepaid fare for their Crawfish Boil. It was my first time and my friend's second time. By the get way, all was was very good. Recommendation is to get an early spot because the last reservation, which is what we had, is a little reckless. Now, don't get me wrong. A lot of inexperienced business owners and their staff may have dropped the customer service ball on a night like this, but not Sonia and her team. If you know, you know. Food was great/excellent! We ordered wings, ribblets, spicy shrimp, chicken fried steak, spicy cheese fries, multiple whiskey shots and beer on top of the prepaid ten pounds of crawfish. The only comment was that the ribblets were cold and we were made aware that the crawfish was over sold by 2lbs. We were full and satisfied. Then, we were informed we were sat late, so we were led to move tables because, surprisingly, there was an artist coming in to perform live music. Who doesn't love good live music? Tyler is very talented and performed some of my favorite songs. Cool thing too is he accepts electric tips. I wish more businesses and people did that. We had a party of 10, that's five married couples, and we all agreed we would do this again. It was like homemade VIP access. We were taken care of. We drank, ate and laughed in a high energy, well attended party. A side note: the 2 restrooms are single stalls, well stocked and very clean. To Sonia; thank you for your hospitality and lovely staff that really care about your customers. I'm Looking forward to coming back.

We had no issue doing that even though there were five open tables. At two minutes before our reservation, we are still sitting at the bar waiting. We hear one of the hostess walk by and say hey A nine top just walked in. I'm seating them and assigning them to... as my husband, a two top, and I still sit there with numerous open tables. When I go to address this with the hostesses. I am told that my table is not ready and when it is, they will let me know, but they don't know how long it's going to be. When I asked why I couldn't have one of the OpenTable tables. I was told that those weren't my table or the fact that the table that's been open since I got there was close to the door so they figured I wouldn't want to sit there. No one asked if I would sit there no one checked with me about a table just because of its location. My husband and I would've been fine with the table by the door. Both hostesses gave me attitude and were rude. While we were sitting at the bar waiting, we were chitchatting with another couple that was at the bar waiting. Someone had brought up a shot called fire and ice. We were just discussing different kinds of alcohol and drinks. The owner walks up with a stuck up attitude and says I know we don't have the stuff to make that here. We don't do shots like that here. We don't do things like Jager bombs or anything else of that. Which we weren't interested in, but apparently she thought that we were. She was very stuck up almost like she was too good for us to be at her restaurant. Now keep in mind, we are very nicely, dressed, and me and my husband make really good money. I guess because we were talking about shots she just assumed we were looking for a party as if we were on spring break and decided to let us know that they do not carry those types of liquor.. the other couple as well as ourselves, looked at each other and could not believe that she would talk to customers in that manner. It just came with a cross very pretentious.. I absolutely love Woodland Park. This place is home away from home every time I'm here. I'm so excited to go eat at all the local places and do lots of shopping. But this place has officially been taken off our list of places to visit. I just don't think there's any reason to be rude to your customers or make them wait when you have open tables. It almost feels like getting put at The Bar. Is there a way of trying to make more money so that we'll sit in order drinks while we wait.

WOW this place is tasty!…read more My fiancé and I didn't feel like cooking and recently moved to the area, so we decided to check this place out. We had driven by it many times and it has been on our list since moving. We quickly found a spot in their free parking lot behind the restaurant and walked in. We were seated immediately by a friendly server and quickly settled on our order. My fiancé got the Left on Red cocktail, which was tasty! We did expect it to have a spicy kick to it, just based on the ingredients, although it was not spicy. Nevertheless, it was tasty! We each ordered a burger, and a side of fries and broccolini. The sides were small portions, but the burgers were the main event. Wow, I can't remember the last time I had such a flavorful burger!! Seriously, do yourself a favor and get the Route 44. I was instantly sold on the prosciutto and fig mostarda combo and omg it did not disappoint. To top it all off, the restaurant was offering complementary soft serve at the end of your meal. I'm not an ice cream person, but my fiancé got their vanilla cone and said it was good. We will certainly be back!

They also have some seriously good American bourbons and ryes back there. If you're into whisky, then this place is a must-visit for their eclectic selection. The food here is quite good. For me, this is the biggest reason why I come here, even though I have to fight over an hour of traffic to get here. It's worth it to me. Unfortunately that geographical challenge means that I am not likely a regular for casual hang outs and happy hours. But location is very nice (just not for my personal convenience lol).
