Have lived in Parker for 10 years and got to enjoy Trattoria Dionisia for the first time. With only a a handful of places to enjoy food in Parker this is going on my list. Husband and I were looking for a nice place for a date night. This was perfect atmosphere to enjoy our time together. Had the best lemon drop martini and calamari before the main course. Could have eaten the homemade bread and butter for days. Enjoyed their lobster ravioli for dinner. We were tempted by dessert but past will return next time for the homemade tiramisu. Service was also amazing it was a great place to truly sit back and relax. read more

My wife and I ate a pizza here about 10 years ago. It was not good, but this place is still in business so we thought we'd give it a second chance. I wish we hadn't. Tonight was my wife's birthday. I ordered the Fileto di Manso which was described on the menu as a beef tenderloin with scallops (plural) and creamy potatoes pure (mashed potatoes). While the tenderloin was a healthy portion, there was no scallops to be found, not one. This is a $40 plate. The potatoes were not "creamy", instead they were so dry the look and texture resembled white rice. Worst of all, yes worse than the missing scallops, the sauce on the dish was mustard. This is Italian food. There shouldn't be any mustard sauce. What a disgusting, horrible trick. My wife ordered the veal. Veal is known for being soft and tender but this veal was kind of hard and chewy. However, the pasta that came with it was extremely dry. Not al dente, just all dry. Next, while the caesar salad was correctly prepared with romaine lettuce, the dressing was simply eggy. It wasn't a horrible flavor but it certainly wasn't caesar. If you can't make a caesar dressing just buy a good store brand and say that it's your recipe. At least your customers will still be happy. Finally, the lasagna was just ok. Most Italian restaurants serve better tasting lasagna. Honestly, this restaurant has been in a business awhile so I guess some people like it. I just know that I won't ever be going back and wrote this review to give anyone else pause before spending good money to be disappointed. read more

We wanted a simple Italian dinner. No planning. No research. Just found this place while driving by. It is located inside the aging strip mall. I was able to park at the front. Plenty of parking since other business are done for the day. When we walked in without a reservation at 5 pm Friday, it was looking slim for getting a seat and we did not wanted to sit at the bar. It is a small restaurant with maybe a dozen table. However, our hostess was able to squeeze us in under the condition of finishing at certain time which was perfect. As it turns out, our hostess is also bartender, food delivery person and wearing few other hats. Marco our waiter was attentive, all of our food served in timely manner. Few things to point out. The complimentary bread with garlic butter was cold. Not a room temperature but felt like it was stored in the refrigerator. The fried calamari with zucchini ( Zucchine e Calamari Fritti) came to the table super hot but the batter was quite heavy, not to my liking The Bucatini was spicy and full of flavor. Had few pieces of Kalamata olives and capers which brought out saltiness and spiciness from other ingredients. Its the first one on the main menu. However, Terra e Mare was at the opposite end when it came to the spiciness. It had deep flavors that were very subtle. The bucatini was bit mush but thicker appearance was intriguing. Beware - they do not honor their gift cards! We were there last night, dinner was OK. But, when the bill came, we presented a $25.00 restaurant issued gift card that we bought at one of the many charity fundraisers we attend annually - and they refused to honor it. We asked for the owner Natalia Fragapane to come to our table to discuss personally, but she had no interest in resolving the issue. We felt so humiliated that they would accuse us of falsifying a gift card that clearly came from their restaurant. So we paid our $121 bill and vowed never to return. I was excited to come here after reading a review that this was a business operated by "true Italians." Well, I was raised in Italy and this is far from true Italian. I ordered the "Ortolana" and I was looking forward to have a taste of the eggplant on my pizza. I asked the waitress to avoid garlic and onions. The pizza that came out was both chewy and burnt. I immediately assumed they used frozen dough. The pizza was sitting in condensation; it wasn't oil. It was almost as if my pizza were sweating. The pie was soggy, undercooked, and burnt all at the same time. The pizza was filled with cold zucchini (a lot of them) and had no eggplant on it. When I asked about the missing eggplant, I was told that the chef explained that the reason there was no eggplant was because it came mixed with the onion and the garlic, and since I requested no onion and no garlic they skipped adding the eggplant and did not provide an explanation about the missing item. This was 100% proof that they're using frozen ingredients. The atmosphere was off. This place is in a strip mall but the clients were wearing upscale business attire. The outside screamed "mom and pop," the inside was "lipstick on a pig." The pizza was more than $20 but I've eaten better pizzas from one of the roach coaches outside on market street. I hate leaving poor reviews. However, as an Italian, I find it disgraceful to call this "Italian." The waitresses were really nice; were they compensating for the poor quality of the food they served. read more

The service here was fantastic, but during our experience the food was extremely mediocre. My Alfredo had little taste to it and was more like noodles tossed it cream than a thick flavorful sauce. There are several good Italian Restaurants in Parker. Trattoria Dionisia is, by and large, the best. Gabriella is always welcoming when we arrive. The food is wonderful. You do not need to sort through a 12 page menu for your selection. There is a selection for every taste but you are not overwhelmed with choices. Wines are reasonably priced and deliver exceptional quality and value. Menu is very reasonably priced. Try to save room for the incredible deserts. All of our friends who have joined us at Trattoria Dionisia have loved it. Our dining companion last night thought the restaurant was initimate and "darling". She and her partner are joining us a Trattoria Dionisia soon. Another friend, formally trained in Italian Cuisine in Italy called Dionisia one of the best Italian Restaurants she has been to. Authentic Italian dishes with the highest quality ingredients. She raved about the small, intimate and welcoming space. So I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time, mostly due to another Yelp member's checkins. I always thought I would drive by it but it is tucked in a retail center. After finding parking I wandered into coziness. So cozy I thought the chef might come out of the kitchen! Con te Partirò was playing above my head. When it was time to order, I went with the meat lasagna and it came with a caesar salad, which was perfect. The bread was also hearty and fresh. The meat lasagna arrived to Strangers in the Night playing; however, I was not a stranger to lasagna and I will attest to this lasagna being one of the best I've eaten. For dessert, which I do not order often, I went with the tiramisu. It arrived to the song, "I did it my way!" To better describe dessert the song title needs to change to, "They did it my way!" It was a perfect ending. The service was perfect and not overbearing. My server was very polite and attentive. Dishes were cleared appropriately with the exception of one minor hiccup. The butter was cleared with a piece of bread left in the basket. Fortunately, like bocce ball there are no deductions for this. If find yourself in Parker stop by this restaurant and enjoy some great food. If you're a wine drinker it looks like they have some great selections for you! read more

We have been to this restaurant many times and has always had great food and good service. We had reservations for 3 for our valentines family dinner and it was a horrible experience all together. We didn't complain when it took a very long time for our food, food came looking a mess and not good as well as while we were eating our dessert and talking, the waitress came up 3 or 4 times telling us they had another reservation so basically we needed to get up and leave?! We had reservations for a group of four at 6 PM. We were promptly seated, ordered drinks, followed by appetizers and our dinner. Our drinks came out promptly as did the appetizers. An hour and a half later, our dinner came out. During this time we watched the table directly behind us turnover three times and the table behind us to the left was seated roughly at the same time as us, but they were eating their dessert when our dinner came. The waitress told us there was a problem at another table that required the manager and the Cook to come out and talk with them which backed everything up. It's confusing how it seemed like it was only our table that was backed up or.... Did she maybe forget to put our order in? My friend and I shared two dishes, the salmon which was absolutely delicious and a pizza. The bottom of the pizza was literally burnt to a crisp. When it was brought to the waitresses attention, she didn't even offer an apology. We would have assumed that there would be something taken off of the price for the burnt pizza if not, for the extremely long time we waited. But there was no compensation for either. The chicken Parmesan my husband had was OK and the other dish seemed to be OK. Our dinner for my husband and I was over $80, which is not ideal for an "OK" meal. First and foremost, you must know that I am a DIE HARD Italian food lover. Being French and recently relocated to Lone tree from Sarasota, Florida, it has been really hard to find true authentic Italian food that's affordable, tasty, delicious and mouth watering with a loving and down to earth cuisine atmosphere that is not only inviting but family oriented and family owned and this place is IT!!! This lovely establishment is FAMILY owned and the heart is in it and you can tell.... The daughter Jasmine is super sweet, Luis is also another waiter that went above and beyond. He waited on us today and made sure that we knew everything about the menu, answered any questions we had about their specials which was really nice and we didn't feel rushed at all. I had the butternut squash pasta special and he had the lobster ravioli. It was delicious not only was it delicious but tasty, not too dry not too overcooked but it had the perfect real authentic Italian flavor. It was the perfect combination of buttery goodness with fresh, appetizing flavor that burst in your mouth as each savory bite will make you come back for more!! I just can't say enough good things about this place I will definitely recommend it and be back time and time again and suggest you do the same give this place a try I promise you won't regret it!!!!! This has always been one of our favorite spots in Parker. For dining in, the atmosphere is cozy and this is a great "date night" spot. However, we also more frequently order take-away from here. Orders are always ready quickly and just as delicious as dining in. The servings are good sized and delicious. The service is also always top notch. I tried to eat here with my parents this evening and it was horrible. The meatballs were frozen on the inside. The Ceaser salad was stale and flavourless and the bread was cold. Who serves cold bread??! The ravioli I ordered was hard and bland. My mom and I had to send it back. Food was good, as always, but no one had their eye on ball. While the wait staff was very pleasant it is obvious that management is very much lacking. Three times we were told that they did not have what we had requested. One was special (ok can forgive that), two was a menu presentation (they were out of mushrooms) and 3 was a dessert. The other occasion was after waiting for 15 mins to order our drinks and another 15 for them to arrive, our apps and salads were immediately served followed by the entrees within 10 minutes. While always a good meal, i think i will just come here for pizza now on and save my full dinners for other restaurants. i am not sure anyone is paying attention when a party of 4 is going to spend $300+ on dinner and drinks. I had this restaurant saved for some time. It seemed more like a nicer restaurant where a nice bottle of wine would be enjoyed. Fortunately, we were in the area that evening and I took advantage of the opportunity. The restaurant is smaller than most. Other than a lady at the bar, we were the only ones there. Hannah took us to a table where we started discussing the menu. I imagined Hannah thought I was going to be high maintenance when I asked if the sausage was flavorful since our last experience at another Italian restaurant was very disappointing. We chose the Caprese Salad as an appetizer and Italian Cavatappi and Vitello Saltimbocca along with a bottle of wine. I was hesitant because one of the last places we went, the sausage had no flavor. Fortunately, the dishes did not disappoint. The marinara was a little thinner than I am used to, but I used the bread to help soak it up and enjoy it. So maybe that was the plan. Dessert came with a Chocolate Mousse Cake and Crème Brûlée. I got the feeling this restaurant had a few regulars, about four tables came in and the gentleman behind the bar seemed to pay extra attention to them. My wife and I have been going to Trattoria Dionisia since it opened, and we have always had fantastic experiences there - the food, the service, everything. I don't know what was going on there for Valentine's Day dinner two days ago, but our meal was an absolute train wreck. We arrived on time for a 7pm reservation, and had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table - no big deal. When we were seated, the server took our drink and appetizer order. The drinks came out promptly, but the bruschetta (how hard is bruschetta?) took forever, not arriving until 8pm. At that point we ordered our entrees, which were supposed to come with one soup and one salad - the soup and salad never arrived. After about 30 minutes, the server returned and told my wife that they were out of the risotto side dish, and asked if she would prefer mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes or pasta. My wife chose mashed potatoes. ANOTHER half hour later, the meals finally came out (so now it's 9pm). My wife's meal had roasted potatoes instead of the mashed potatoes she ordered, and the meal initially brought to me was something altogether different than I ordered, so it took about another five minutes for me to get the correct meal (one of their Valentine's Day specials, which I would have thought would have been pre-staged). The server also poured me a second glass of wine that I didn't order before I could stop her, but she did comp me that. We had been planning to order dessert, but by the end of this disaster, we decided we didn't want to wait another hour for dessert, so we just paid and left. The food was good when we eventually got it, but the service all around was absolutely awful and deserving of only one star. Whatever issues they were having, I sure hope they address them. Our first time there and we found it to be a quaint, intimidate, and cozy restaurant. Walking in, there was a help wanted sign....which we found out was a precursor of what was to come. We experienced the service was lacking and left a lot to be desired. We sat at the bar for approximately five minutes before being acknowledged. Interesting fact about this nugget of an experience was each of the three servers walked back and forth behind the bar multiple times without any greeting or eye contact! Perhaps, that was another glimpse of what was to come?!? Salads are literally lettuce, dressing, and tomato slice.....nothing more. Bread, waiting on the table when our party was seated, was extremely dense....very heavy and served room temperature that came with one small round of cold butter. I kid you not....one piece of butter for a party of four! I find it interesting when bread is not served warm and served with cold butter because that is what I want....cold butter which cannot be spread on bread without destroying it and making it look like a sheet made for a ghost costume for Halloween! Entrees were ok....nothing to write home about. The lasagna was frozen in the middle! Nice amount of mushrooms on the chicken marsaella. Italian sausage was rubbery. Pasta was served with runny sauce. The desserts are displayed in a case....individually plated and wrapped. The visualization was not appealing as they did not look fresh; therefore, we did not order anything. Which we typically order dessert as we were celebrating a birthday. As this was our first visit since it has been open in 12 years, we will not be rushing back anytime soon. The lack of friendly servers, quality of food, and taste left us feeling like we chose the wrong establishment. I would rather give 2.5 stars but that's not an option and 3 stars is too generous for the price you pay. When you first walk in, the ambiance is great. Exactly what you would want with a small, Italian, homemade feel. However, it took us several minutes to be greeted at the door and seated (it's a Monday night with maybe 3 other tables). Then after being seated it was nearly 10 minutes before anyone greeted us to take our drink order. Turns out only 2 people were operating as host/wait staff/ bartenders. *The Italian margarita was the highlight of the entire experience, highly recommend you come for a cocktail or nightcap and order the Italian marg.* We had our toddler daughter with us and though she was well-behaved as a kid that doesn't use full sentences can be at dinner time, it was clear that it was NOT a "family friendly" environment. NOT what you expect from "authentic Italian." The pasta was not homemade, and neither was the sauce. Bland. Had to add salt and pepper to our dishes, which is not how Italian food should taste. What a disappointment. I looked around for a nice place with authentic cuisine and a nice atmosphere, and when I got there and was seated, I realized I'd have to lower my expectations. This place is fodder for a much longer review, but, really all you need to know is that the food was below average, even for American "Italian", and the atmosphere, this particular night was not at all welcoming. Apparently, if you're not a regular, they don't really care to know you. The Sicilian barman, husband of the chef, and, I guess, co-owner, actively did not want to speak with me, in Italian or English... possibly I ordered the wrong dishes, but they didn't have the wine I wanted from their list, nor the sparkling water. These things happen. The thing that put the nail in the coffin, apart from the standoffishness of most of the staff, was the dessert. 2 mini cannoli that were mushy and old tasting. The server, Hannah, was very nice and gave as good service as she could, although they were pretty clearly under-staffed for the night. The first clue I should have had was the 40-ish fellow standing in the foyer waiting to be seated, resplendently attired in torn jeans, and a tee-shirt that said, "I will poop on everything you love!" I only wish he hadn't... it's too bad. These folks obviously mean well and work hard, but the menu has all the usual misspellings that characterize menus at Italian "red sauce" joints all over the country. I've always wondered why restaurateurs in America don't spend time curating their printed menus. It's a small detail, but usually very revealing, that when a place tells you they have chicken "picatta," it's probably a good indicator that it won't be very good. I'm so sorry that I can't recommend this restaurant, but I'll bet you that, since they have a lot of regulars, they most probably won't care. read more

It's Amore , I'm hard to please. Often more critical about restaurants than I need to be. With that said, this is the best Italian I've had in a long time. I travel to NY and Philly and this place rivals restaurants 4 times the price. From the atmosphere, to the service and the food was OUTSTANDING. I also came in grumpy because my wife botched the reservation. Anyway small dining area 45 max. Reserve in advance. The bread was homemade. The garden salad was fresh and crisp.
