Love this place. I am a nurse, so always on my feet. My sister and I went for a 20 minute foot massage (which was amazing) followed by an hour long full body massage. My partner and I had a couples massage here and enjoyed the experience. They are located at the end of the mall and have a surprisingly large space given this location. The environment is clean, tranquil, and smells quite yummy. The changing rooms are well equipped and while waiting, some small snacks/drinks are offered. It was my first couples massage, so I didn't really know what to expect...the gals we worked with were friendly but it was clear that it was a bit awkward for them too. I booked a massage for tomorrow at Noon as I have had a good experience here recently. There are many places to go to for a massage and I might add, that come at a lesser charge. Through no fault of my own, I now have to work and couldn't make this appointment. I was just told that since I gave a 21 hour notice, instead of 24 hours, I am still being charged for this appointment. The front desk told me they do this because the therapist expects to make their money and how unfair is it to them that I canceled 21 hours in advance as opposed to 24. I am livid, not only do I not get to have the massage I was looking forward to, now I am paying for this? Because I am unable to book in the same day with the same therapist? Unacceptable customer service. You have lost a client at this point. read more

The massages and therapists I've had here have generally been good. I am writing to warn people about the various monthly packages sold to they "Wellness Community." From my experience, these have been a complete scam. I began the "Habits of Harmony" package four months ago. Aside from the monthly massages, I have not received any of the benefits promised to Wellness Community participants. Not a single "exclusive monthly offer" so far. No "special events." And when I asked about the choice of "three complimentary treatments" in my birthday month, I was told all that is offered is a 15-minute foot bath. The entire monthly membership program at least at this Boulder location is not even a"bait-and-switch" scam, but more like a "bait-and-forget-about-it" scam. I asked at the front desk last time I was there, and the woman working could not have expressed less interest. Give the lack of resolve by on-site staff, the past few weeks I have twice gone to the spa's "Contact" link and sent a message asking about this lack of full benefits for monthly packages sold at the Boulder site; yet, so far not a single reply from anybody at Dragontree. Their contact page says "Getting in touch with The Dragontree is stress free;" but, it seems only stress-free for them because they don't bother paying attention to incoming messages. Frustrated with the whole poorly managed operation, I ended up having my credit card company block any further payments to the spa. read more

Had an amazing spa experience here from beginning to end started with a foot scrub and scalp massage and ended with a 90 massage. This spa feels very secluded even though it is right across from a parking garage on 16th. Never heard the phone ringing or customer interaction during our spa treatment rooms are very sound proof. The only drawbacks are the sandals they give you are very uncomfortable and there was a mix up on the charges at the front desk we had to call and sort out well after the fact so attention to detail after services needs some work. This spa was such an amazing experience! I loved getting to go back and put on a nice, cozy robe before the massage - and there was a steam room available for use in the restroom! Along with a shower and lockers for your clothing and personal items. Everyone my boyfriend and I encountered were so kind and welcoming. The massages themselves were amazing too! Definitely the best massage I've gotten. Chris even gave me tips on stretches I could do to relieve tension. The spa is nice and I like the calming Moroccan decor. There's a nice dressing room with locking lockers, showers and a steam room. When I first started coming here you could come early for your appointment and get some time in the steam room plus a shower before your massage. Now (pre-pandemic - not sure what their policy is at the moment) you're only allowed to arrive 30 minutes before your appointment, and they're strict about it. So by the time you get changed and get your stuff situated, you only have a few minutes in the steam room. I get not wanting people to hang out for too long, but 30 minutes just isn't enough. And their services are expensive, and I felt with the extra steam time I was getting my money's worth. Not sure if I'll be going back. Another annoyance is the carts the roll down the hall with the foot soak basins - it's so distracting when you're trying to relax in your massage - you can hear every turn of the wheel as it clunks down the hallway. This could be fixed with carpets but they don't bother. Meh. read more

I have tried to like Dragon Tree, but I left disappointed again today. I find that the therapist are not very skilled. When Im paying 150.00 dollars for a massage I want it to be good. My thearpist came to get me for my appointment five minutes late so by the time my session started it was running ten minutes behind and he did not extend the time I lost at the end. read more

I had heard so many good things about Dragontree Spa but it was just this week that I finally made it there to experience all the good things firsthand! First of all, what a completely gorgeous, lush, relaxing space. Every detail, from the beautiful, deep burgundy (I'm not sure if that's the colour - it really is its own shade!) on the walls to the warm, professional nature of all the staff really made my visit such a special experience. I went with some friends and we did the Sweet and Simple package, which features a relaxing foot bath (I choose the milk - it truly did soften my summer-callused feet!) and a great foot and leg massage. My friends and I sat in the sangha (community) room together and were able to socialize and catch up together while at the same time having this extremely relaxing treatment. It was so much fun but also restorative and rejuvenating. I took a tour of the massage rooms and they are so beautiful - each one with customized lighting features and a calming atmosphere. I do not have enough good things to say about this spa. Every single time I have been there (about 5) over the past 2-3 years I have left completely rejuvenated and relaxed. You will notice they are pricey but the service and knowledge of their therapists greatly exceed the price. I have had my share of Groupon massages and left disappointed. I wish I could remember each therapist individually to call them out. I am one of those who books at the last second so I never keep the same therapist each time. Very disappointing experience here. My husband and I were long-time clients of the Dragontree in Portland. We recently moved to Louisville and I bought him a massage at the Boulder location. He sat in the lobby area for 15 minutes prior to his appointment, not acknowledged by reception. His therapist talked the entire time, and he left totally un-relaxed. He was sent a survey to fill out after his massage, and he did, stating the reasons he was unhappy with the experience, to which he received no response. Super disappointed and it's unfortunate because we really loved their Portland spa. read more

I had a great experience at the Dragontree Spa! The space was beautiful and serene and very well-maintained. The change rooms had everything you could possibly need, including clean hair brushes and ample towels. They were spacious and clean. The robes were very comfortable! The service was outstanding and the ladies who initially greeted me were warm, friendly and attentive. For the majority of my experience, my massage therapist was Holly. In all my years of visiting spas in Boulder I have never written a review, but after this experience I had to! It was absolutely amazing. I went for a facial and my mom was supposed to come but woke up sick. They didn't charge for canceling and the receptionist was so sweet and understanding about it. She was so kind and engaging! I got a facial from Molly and I must say she was extremely knowledgable and gave me great tips for my skin type. This wasn't just a facial it was an entire experience. I LOVED my time at the dragontree spa this weekend. everyone was very nice, i loved all my serviced, i felt pampered and refreshed.... until i got to the facial. the esthetician was the worst. she was rude, degrading, mean, and made me feel like i was making her day absolutely terrible. this was my first time ever at a day spa - so i wasnt sure what to expect. she put me in the room and told me to take off my shoes. i took off my shoes and she left - i guess expecting me to get into the bed. when she came back and i was standing there like an idiot she yelled at me for not getting in! THEN she continued to yell at me for having sandy chai scrub all over from the treatment previously. then she yelled at me for holding my head up for her to clean off my back. then she made some smart ass comment when she was asking if i "clean your skin yourself." i said yes - she continued to criticize me for using my nails, or a tool, to clean my skin. no ma'am. i use face wash to clean my skin "IM TALKING ABOUT EXTRACTIONS!! HOW DO YOU DO EXTRACTIONS!!!!!????" i dont know about you guys,.. but i think cleaning my skin is washing my face. SO long story short - i'd highly recommend the dragontree spa. I will be back. but take my word - the esthetician is the worst person in boulder. i am there to get pampered and feel like a princess - not to be criticized and yelled at by some mean old lady. read more

I went and got a massage and another treatment last week. This was my first time visiting this spa and I was so excited because I've always wanted to try this place out. After the massage, I got a treatment that involved the massage therapist pouring oil over my forehead. After about 5 or so minutes I was bored and my neck was starting to hurt from the way I was laying with my head back. So I asked the massage therapist if this is all that was going to happen with this treatment and she said yes. I don't know but I guess I had different expectations and thought maybe it would involve a scalp massage too or something. So she and I kinda laughed and she asked if I wanted to be done and I said yes, I couldn't sit like that for 30 minutes. Long story short when I went to check out and pay, the girl at the front desk was extremely rude and made me feel so uncomfortable because she was grilling me on the fact that I didn't like the oil treatment and why I didn't. She was trying to make me feel guilty by saying that normally they would make a client pay for both treatments even though I only got through 5-10min of the oil treatment. She also had the audacity to say to me that this will never happen again, and that the next time I will be charged. She actually said it like this : "ok, so this will never happen again now will it?" She was talking very condescendingly to me like I was a child. She was a straight up snot. I said I loved the massage and the massage therapist but just didn't care for the other treatment and it wasn't what I expected. I paid her, then said I'm sorry I didn't like it and she just ignored me, said nothing and I escorted myself out the door and left. I have never felt so unappreciated and talked down to by someone in a place like that. It was apparent that it was all about the money, and not that I was satisfied about my visit. She obviously did not care about whether I would return again, but that's ok because I won't. What a typical snooty boulder business! No thank you! read more
