    Crispy Catfish Taco

Everything was delicious!! Loved the beautiful and colorful decor. Nice place for a girl's brunch or happy hour. The service was excellent and we were given great recommendations. I had the catfish taco which was huge and flavorful. Will definitely visit again.

went here with family and friends and food was pretty good. salsa is different from any other i've had but I was a fan. the queso was like ballpark nacho cheese lol. the big stars were the tacos! I tried the bulgogi and the birria coconut curry and they were great! the flavors came together perfectly. most of their tacos are typically non traditional but I would definitely return. I didn't try the drinks but my friends said they were good too!

Thankfully this was not a dream. What a beautiful location, our server was amazing and was gracious when we kept having team members arrive answered all the questions! Biggest recommendation- take a friend that likes to share and dig in. While there were a few that liker need some tweaks Mahi needs something to bring it together. (Maybe even a different shell). Flavor was missing an element. Carna asada - good taco of you have a non adventurous friend safe bet Catfish taco - excellent Spicy chicken- spicy full of flavor of you do not like spicy don't do it Sushi taco- yummy, but didnt't translate Tuna taco- well thought out all elements were thought out. Delicious! Chicken Birria with Curry- absolute STAR OF THE SHOW! I tired a chip and salsa excellent flavor.

This place is hands down one of the most beautiful and vibrant taco restaurants I've ever been to. And the most magical thing is that the food matches the settings. The waitress who took care of me was one of the loveliest person I had ever met. Personally I think this place is perfect for a date or an outing with friends because the atmosphere, service, and food is so good. I only ordered the mahi mahi taco and it was sublime. The taco itself is huge! Coupling this with a generous portion of the tuna, the flavor itself was delightful. The corn tortilla is crispy and perfect. The chips and the ranchero sauce is HUGE! The chips are freshly made and have a bit of addicting seasoning on it. This too is a huge portion!

The Dream Tacos is an AMAZING taco spot located in Plano, just off Preston Road in a shopping plaza next to the NYLO Hotel. With plenty of free parking right in front, it's a convenient and inviting destination for food lovers. Chef Chetra has truly outdone himself with this creative culinary concept, blending French, Japanese, Southern BBQ, Southeast Asian, and Mexican flavors into a diverse menu filled with unique taco options. Not only is the food exceptional, but the ambiance and decor are equally impressive. Unlike many places that focus on aesthetics but fall short on quality and service, The Dream Tacos delivers on all fronts--atmosphere, food, drinks, and service. During my initial visit, my sister and I shared the brisket tostada pizza (a solid 10/10), and for our tacos, I went with the mahi-mahi topped with fresh mango and pineapple salsa, citrus sauce, and sriracha (10/10), while she ordered the bulgogi Korean taco (also 10/10). We also tried a few martinis during happy hour (available for $2 off from 3-6 PM, making them around $10 each). In February 2025, I had my birthday lunch here with approximately eighteen guests and they were extremely accommodating. Everyone was happy with the food, service and drinks. I visit this location at least once a month now and I always order the Lemon Drop Martini with Kettle One Vodka, and they never disappoint. If you're craving delicious food, great drinks, service and smooth R&B jams, The Dream Tacos is definitely worth a visit!

A $10 taco had me suspicious but they are absolutely worth the money. The vegan options were so delicious and I'll be back to try the other flavors! Telling everyone I know this is the place to go!

I have been driving by this restaurant for a while. Finally made it inside with a group of friends. The concept is cool as they give you dreamy, playful and unique tacos. You walk into a fun and whimsical restaurant. I really wanted to love The Dream Tacos. There were things I really liked and others were just ok. I will probably go back again to decide if it's worth the hype. Ambiance 5 STARS It's a vibe and fun, bright and colorful. It's cool and happy feeling. Love the decor and details very girly. Cocktails 3 STARS Asian Peartini was average. I wished it tasted more like a pear. It wasn't too sweet and I enjoyed that. Food 3 STARS Different and surprisingly interesting tacos. Nice Presentation on all of them. Carne Asada Taco It was ok but lacked flavor. The meat wasn't well seasoned. The marinade is missing something. Catfish Taco It was fried nicely and the pickled onions were a bonus. Shrimp and Grits Taco Interesting play on this one. Nice sized shrimps. Service 3 STARS The waitress was pleasant and helpful. We were a big group and she managed the table well. I had to remind her to get water. But overall she handled our table well. Overall I had a pleasant experience. I do believe everyone should try them at least once. I will be back soon to try another cocktail and taco to see if I feel differently. I would give 3.5 STARS for this visit.

This place lives up to its name! I can't wait to try more of these AMAZING tacos. Every bite is blasted with flavor. The care and attention to detail placed into this food is top notch. Each layer of flavor adds to the next. I am sooooo looking forward to going back. The atmosphere and esthetic is also that of a dream. So posh and pretty. I met a friend here around happy hour and we both enjoyed every bit of the experience. The service was also really good and pleasant which is another plus! Now to what I tried: Goat taco: 10/10 never had goat prepared this way before. Every ingredient mingled well with each other. The flavor and texture collided exquisitely. Sushi taco: 10/10 definitely a complexed but balanced choice of ingredients. The freshness of the salmon was so good. The texture of the fish against the crunchy elements really aligned. Chicken quesadillas: 8.5:10 I did not order this but I did try a bite. Great flavor and quality of ingredients. I prefer the tacos because they are more elevated in flavor. Definitely not a regular quesadilla you can get from anywhere. Coconut margarita: 10/10 never had a coconut margarita before. So glad I tried this one. It was so creamy and delicious. Definitely refreshing and full of flavor. Great balance against the alcohol.

I absolutely love the way this restaurant is decorated! There's indoor and outdoor seating available. As for the food, they offer a variety of specialty tacos that are slightly larger than your standard tacos. There's some fusion tacos that recreate different cuisines in the form of tacos. Typically 2 or 3 tacos per person should do the trick. Overall, the tacos were pretty good!

This restaurant was equivalent to stepping inside of a dream. There was a menu with endless amounts of options for tacos. I would say a majority of the tacos I tried were top notch and different than your typical taco. Reccommend: Philly cheese steak taco & chili relleno were probably my favorites. Staff was very kind and explained the menu. Overall a solid spot.

Not just a beautiful decor, the food actually matches! The food is great, and our bartender was amazing. We started with a chicken tostado pizza and it wasn't overly hearty & was still light. The tacos are packed and 1 and a half had me stuffed. The lobster and shrimp taco was really good and the spicy chicken taco was perfect. My boyfriend enjoyed the fried catfish taco and sushi salmon taco. Would definitely be back

Tacos are always a good option when you are out for an evening night of fun. But having tacos at Dream Tacos is just next level enjoyment. The energy and vibe of the restaurant is great. The servers were amazing and fun to interact with. Everything we ordered tasted great. Chicken quesadillas- nice flavor and the quesadillas was filled with chucks of chicken Crispy sushi taco (not shown)- wow the flavors were amazing. The taco was so full of filling. I made a second taco out of it Guacamole and chips- love this Steak taco- another super stuffed taco. This one for me was a little bit salty, but it wasn't unbearable Cocktails- all were well made and delicious

The quesa birria was good but I did find the beef itself a bit tough. Otherwise the flavor and taste are good and the consommé was one of the better ones I've had. Overall, I think the tacos were good, but they were a bit greasier and saltier than the other traditional taco places I love. Ambiance: The restaurant is a casual counter order place. Once you order the staff will bring the food to you. There were plenty of tables. Food: The menu was pretty expansive and inexpensive. They had tacos (over 7 kinds), tortas, tostadas, gorditas, and gringas. I ordered 5 carne asada fajita tacos for myself. These tacos were TINY. I can probably eat like 8 if I were super hungry. I love my tacos with a splash of lemon, and some cilantro and onion paired with them. The onion and cilantro were freshly chopped and fresh. Service: The service was quick and the staff were nice.

Tacos, Tacos, Tacos…read more... How do I love thee... let me count the ways.... I love you with fajita steak, shredded chicken... al pastor, and with shrimp... Being Mexican, having had an unhealthy share of street tacos in Mexico... I'll tell you that it doesn't matter if you like it or not. This is one of the closest taco spots in the area to hit close. I mean this in the most sincere way possible... If you are wanting tacos from a place where a kid from a Chick-Fil-A store or commercial is taking your order, and all of the food choices are combination of about a dozen ingredients slopped together by someone who seriously thought a GED was "Good Enough" by the company behind Pepsi (cough Taco Bell) then this place isn't for you. I like my steak where the recipe to the chicken, pork, and steak isn't "cut bag open and place in warming bin idiot". All jokes aside this place is pretty legit. It's authentic enough where I'm pretty sure I was the only native English speaking person there, including the customers. But not so authentic that there was a cows head in a pot. This place has twisted my arm for all of my Taco money. While you transparent folk are going after the latest version of the Doritos Locos Tacos that's largely corn and recycled Chinese newspaper I'll be here.
