Loved the romantic setting/decor at this sophisticated taco shop. The first variable I noticed was the cutesy bar area. Our female sever was nice enough & frank by stating that this was her first day! And her manager recommended spicy chicken & carne asada tacos for us. Skip this restaurant! One of the worst dining experiences we have had in a while. We went in around 5:30pm on a Friday and the service was horrendous even though it was barely busy. We waited over 25 minutes to get our drinks and they were mid at best. As for the food, the bulgogi taco was good, but the rest we ordered were not good. The ahi tuna was fishy tasting and we had to send it back because the taste was gross. The chicken curry taco had no flavor and the tortilla was burnt. Also, no chips at a taco place when sitting there for over 30 minutes to get food?! I don't ever plan on going here again. The Dream Tacos was in an Instagram post that I saw as one of the restaurants in Dfw with an interesting interior. I'm always really intrigued by the restaurant that incorporates the flowers in the ceiling and they just look really whimsical as they remind me of being in London or in Europe. So we trekked all the way to Plano to try this restaurant out with great hopes and expectations. I was encouraged by all of the wonderful five star reviews of the restaurant. However,, upon arriving this past Saturday afternoon, it was not busy at all and the parking lotwas bare. It's like in a shopping center parking lot with an Orange Theory and a couple of other stores. It's not in Legacy or West, but it's around that area closer to the corporate Park part. So I was kind of underwhelmed by the location. I guess I was expecting something a little bit more restaurant like and less like a fast restaurant type with faux flowers in the ceiling. The menu was very extensive in the types of tacos It offers, which made you think that you needed more than one taco to be full. I was surprised that since this is a taco dine in type of a place, that you did not automatically receive chips and salsa. Instead, you had to order it as an appetizer, and it was either queso and guacamole or queso and salsa. There was not an option just to get salsa so we ordered the queso and guacamole option. It came with a bowl of each along with a tray of chips that were seasoned with kind of like a Lawry's seasoning salt. The three of us quickly ate a lot of those chips and asked for a refill, but it took probably 10 minutes to get a refill of the chips which leads me to think that maybe they're perhaps prepared by the order? The guacamole was pretty good. It was fresh and a chunky style. It had tomatoes, regular onions and miniature jalapeño inside. I could tell that it had lemon and lime with some salt, but it was just on the top of the guacamole. Both my friend and I felt like we needed a little bit more jalapeño for our liking and when I asked for some chopped jalapeño, we got a sliced. So we really couldn't disperse more into the mixture. They do not give you knives. You only have a spoon and fork so there was really no way to chop it up to put it into the guacamole. I ordered the catfish taco and I believe like a spicy chicken Adobe or something taco. The spicy chicken one came where it was loop warm. So none of the cheese or anything was melted. That made me have to spoon out a lot of the shredded cheese that was just sitting on top because it was cold and not mixed in. It just made it difficult to eat. I found that the catfish taco was warm so I started with it after taking a bite of the chicken one. I did like the flavor of the catfish taco. It was a rather big taco like our server suggested. So it was rather filling. I like that the taco was crispy and had just a good overall flavor to it. I didn't like the queso that came with the guacamole so going back to that. It had a gelatinous texture to it that I wasn't fond of because it tasted more like a queso pudding than a queso. I got a mango Dream margarita and that was pretty tasty. It was quite small for the price though. I also feel like even though each taco was sizable, the price of the tacos was expensive for this type of location. My son had the burger. His burger looked like it was hand shaped from ground beef and was cooked well. He ate it all and left his fries. He is pretty picky on fries. He did really like the chips though and again these chips were not just table chips, they were part of the appetizer we ordered. My friend ordered the tostada pizza or something like that. I think it had some sort of beef or Shredded beef on it. It came out cold, so the cheese was kind of melted into the tostada. To be honest with you, it didn't look appetizing to me. I thought she would've sent it back, but I think she trudged through it because she didn't really see anything else that she desired on the menu. I wouldn't say that's because she doesn't like tacos but more so that she was trying to be on a diet. We weren't quite sure what to expect from these tacos so why waste calories. So overall, my experience was just meh... just average. Sadly, I wouldn't drive another 44 miles each way to try to find this restaurant in Plano or Lewisville based on this experience. I found it to be expensive for what you get and the interior was just kind of like I decorated it. It was not very professional looking but more homemade in terms of all the flowers. So it makes it kind of gimmicky to attract you to this place that in the end does not deliver on your expectations. I think the pictures make it look prettier than it actually is in person. So I kinda expected this magical dream taco experience, but left wanting more so not quite a nightmare but certainly not a dream. read more

We also wanted tacos, so we killed 2 birds with one stone, as the saying goes. The aesthetics are so nice inside. There's about 4-6 tables outside which is good considering it's in a shopping center. Was over for lunch last Friday with colleagues - been thinking of going there since I see this place whenever I go for work out at the OTF studio next door.. Few others in our team were also keen and hence the decision was easy!! Ambiance has a vibe to it, thanks to the decor and the colorful seats... The decor gives out energy to the place which was good... Seats were tricky though - we were in the long table and chairs were stacked next to each other... Due to the design of the chairs, only one person could sit at a time since you have to pull your chair out all the way, sit and push yourself along with the chair... Seats were comfortable though, good armrest and lumbar support making it easy... Food has good variety and it has fusion all over, as advertised in their sign board outside and on their website/IG... I decided to try Tandoori Chicken and Spicy Chicken - Tandoori Chicken had more salt than needed but it wasn't unpalatable but definitely it stood out... Spicy Chicken had no spice at all which was disappointing... Plating was good, food did look pretty appetizing.. They serve on a deep fried Tortilla - that is unique but do factor that in if you are looking for healthy options... Our server was Kaylei, she was knowledgeable and had high energy... Food came out within 15 minutes as promised... Felt Gratuity Fatigue since they charged 20% by default, probably because we were a group of 11 - contentious since the kind of dish on their menu doesn't really require lot of work for the server... I wasn't sure what to expect with a "global fusion" taco place. I've been to other places where they put weird things on tacos and I'm usually not the biggest fan, plus they're usually very expensive for the amount of food. This place though I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the tacos. I got the Philly cheesesteak and the tandoori chicken tacos, and I also tried my wife's carne asada and Vietnamese tacos. All four were delicious. My personal favorite of those was probably the carne asada. The decor is a bit funky and the seats are honestly very comfortable, which is a strange thing to put in a restaurant review. The prices are a little steep in my opinion, as it's generally $7+ dollars for a single taco, but the taste makes up for it so I'm not knocking any stars off for that, just set your expectations accordingly. The service however, was excessively slow. The food arrived relatively quickly, but that was the end of the service. Once we finished eating (before we paid) we sat there for 15-20 minutes with no one even looking at us while I was waving my arms around trying to get their attention to pay the bill. It seemed like they may have been a bit short staffed and the 2 people working there were clearly busy, so I don't blame the employees themselves. But that would've probably lasted much longer if I hadn't gotten up and approached the bar. Unfortunately I cannot give a 5 star rating without a strong service experience. Overall, I'd return here and try out some other tacos. Hopefully next time they have the appropriate number of staff members working. read more

Food is really good and they have one of the best Palomas I have had in Texas or possibly anywhere! Make sure you have an appetite and try a few tacos I recommend 2-3 depending on how hungry you are. I don't love the chips and salsa but it is decent but you have to pay for it so maybe skip it and try something different. Dream tacos has an instagram worthy interior and great location at the border of plano and frisco off Preston road. I got the tofu taco and I really liked it! The tofu was super crispy and the flavors were tasty., I am not a huge taco fan and can't have cheese - there were not many non dairy options and tacos were pricey. I think it's definitely worth checking out, but know this is a fusion taco place. For example they had a beef wellington taco, and a taco with Thai flavors. Truly everything had such a wonderful and decadent flavor profile; however, if I had to choose a favorite, I would say the Thai chicken birria was the best! I also would've given 5 stars; however, I had to dock some points for the napkins having a stale scent (they were definitely clean but smelled like they may have been left in the washer too long before drying) and the lack of menu explanation for first time guests. As this is a unique concept, a walk through of the menu and recommendations would've gone a long way. I got the pulled pork taco- the pork was not pulled pork, and arrived cold. I also got the fajita chicken taco, which arrived hot and was good. We both asked for the carne asada taco but they had sold out. Fries can be best compared to In 'n Outs but these actually have salt and pepper. The serving sizes are great, they are very generous with the meat. Service was fine and they didn't charge for our margs- I'm not sure if that was accidental or intentional. They told us to come back for Happy Hour to get half price margaritas. That's still crazy when you add tax and tip. Working in food service for years it really pains me to write a review based on service but the service was horrendous. They didn't have one of our tacos due to it being out and instead of letting us reorder quickly they ran off said they would come back and went ghosted us until we got the check. The server did the same thing half way through asking him to make sure it was removed from the bill and while I was trying to explain the story he ran off to find out what we were already told that they had no more scallops for the taco. We came as a group of 5 on a Thursday night with my grandma, and we loved it! We were skeptical about it at first because the outside does not say much; but the inside is what counts! Gorgeous interior with decorative flowers and chandeliers, and I loved the mural paintings along the wall. Disappointing to see there are still TV's everywhere though. The food was beyond our expectations--the waitress was very honest and also told us the tacos were quite large. We didn't believe her, but she was right! They were good sized tacos, and 2 is enough for the average person. The chips and guac were very tasty, and the chips were perfectly salty and not greasy. The salsa came warm (temp. Warm) and the nacho cheese was scarfed. We loved our tacos--I ate the chicken artichoke one, and asked for the lemon butter sauce on the side to reduce calories. This place was a great find. The food focuses on non- traditional taco offerings, which were all very, very good. We got a Vietnamese taco, a tofu taco, and a more traditional beef taco. The tortillas were great and the fillings were flavorful for each and every one. Price was reasonable. Cloth napkins are a nice touch as we're the comfy chairs - even at the bar.
