Went to Taqueria Los Angeles after seeing posts on Instagram. Honestly, was pretty disappointed with the food. The restaurant is large and has plenty of seating. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. The utensils and everything is self-serve. They only have bottled water and drinks available for purchase. First visit and it was great. You place your order at the register and then they assign a table and bring out your food. They also use a robot server so sometimes it's a person or the robot. Given it's our first visit we tried a little of everything. Flauta's were large and covered with cheese and sour cream. Filled with meat and I think beans. This was really good. Taco dinner was not on the menu but we could order it with any meat you want. We liked chorizo, chicken, and al carbon. All the meets are nicely filled in the tacos and tasted great. The quesadillas was huge and delicious. Came with some salsa. The burrito was great and as big as my head. Hot sauces they had 3 types, green, orange, and bottled. The orange and green were really good, but if you can't take the heat skip them. Lastly drinks, they have a variety of drinks but no soda machine, recommended. They did have Coca Cola glass bottles. The least you could do is have someone check orders for delivery before handing the order off to the driver. Not only did I have to wait almost an hour to get my food from Uber Eats but the order was wrong. All it takes is eyes to check an order. Then you give me just red salsa not the green one. I'll never order food delivery again so A) I can get my food while it's warm and B) I can verify my order is correct before I leave. Terrible experience today! read more

Had a friend in town who wanted some authentic Mexican food. Not your typical Tex Mex, so this was recommended by someone and figured we'd give it a shot. Nothing fancy, just a little hole in the wall type of place but those typically are the best.... We walked in, and the line was crazy long, so we knew it was about to be good. Pros: Food was good, I got the California burrito with chorizo which was very flavorful and huge. My friend got the fajita chicken quesadilla, which he enjoyed as well. Cons: it was their "HH" and you're supposed to get a margarita with that, but nobody even mentioned that to us when we ordered. I had to ask only because I heard about it in other reviews and on social media. Then, my friend ordered a HennyRita and the cashier tried to charge us extra for shots of Henny because of a mistake on his part (which I will say the manager cleared up after I complained about that), so I appreciated him doing that for us. Also, seating is tough sometimes. They have large picnic tables but they're rarely clean. **Areas I think they could improve on: cleaning tables/space so that people can find clean spaces to sit/eat. Service (training staff). None of them knew anything about the menu when questions were asked, they weren't charging ppl correctly for things, and I just think the experience would be better if the service was a little more organized and customer friendly. read more

Always here about this place but never got a chance to visited once I was in the area. Wanted to play it safe on my first visit so I got the birria taco plate, which came with rice and all the fixings. Also tried the chicken tacos. I was shockingly surprised that I liked the chicken tacos more than the birria. The chicken was super flavorful and juicy. The portions were great. I also tried the pineapple agua fresca which was the star of the whole visit. I ordered the large but I wish they had a bigger size!! Menu is pretty straightforward and the cashier offered help when ordering. The food came out pretty fast but everything was fresh and piping hot! Food: I loved the steak tacos on corn tortillas! The salsas were spicy! I would recommend trying a bit before dousing your tacos in them. I also ordered the elote (corn was presented in a pretty generous portion in a cup) and it was also great! Service: I wouldn't say the service was amazing. Latin music, a robot (mostly) dropping food off at the table. 2-3 tables were occupied when I showed up. 25 minutes after I ordered I checked in up front, and somehow they had lost track of my order. They had food to me in less than 5 minutes and tossed in a Churro as an apology. Nice people. I love that they have a bunch of their salsas in the fridge that you can just grab for your table! We got the California and loaded burritos and both were packed with their fillings. These are definitely burritos that will send you into that post lunch food coma and they're also really large, half of one was enough to make me full. We got the steak and fajita protein options and tbh the meat was a little bit dry but overall these burritos were solid and I'd come back to try some of their other ones! read more

Omg. So good!! We went for Mother's Day and got a free mango margarita. All the food was amazing. The red salsa was soooo spicy and the green salsa was perfect. I loved mixing them both! Last time we came a few years ago--the Elote was not good so I'm glad they changed it up because it was perfect! All the food was great and the service was as well. Service was just terrible it was not busy for one several empty tables but the ladies in the front seemed to not be having a great day. Which seemed like if they worked together it would have made things easier but that wasn't the case. I got the al pastor and barbacoa on flour BUT my friends got the corn and it actually looked fire compared to my flour so if I came back I would get corn. It came with some SPICY potatoes as well. Meat was well seasoned (also kinda spicy) and I liked how finely chopped everything was. I tried their elote and it was pretty good as well; just really sweet corn. This place was PACKED which was expected given they had their free margarita deal for Taco Tuesday, but the place is not constructed to have that much business. Upon arrival, we waited in a line that took about 15 minutes to get through which was very manageable; however, the line was regularly reshaping as there was not enough space for the line and pass through for the food delivery robot. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations! We ended up ordering the asada fries, tacos dorado, 1 Al pastor taco, 1 barbacoa taco, 2 mango margaritas, and 1 jugo de pepita. Post ordering, we had to share a table with another group which was fine; however, the food delivery robot only comes to one side of the table so you end up having to pass or have your food passed to you by strangers you are sitting with. I do like the robot for speed and efficiency; however, they need to change the dining area to improve the process. The food looked and smelled amazing, and let me tell you, the asada fries stole the show! The meat was good quality, fries were crispy fresh, and toppings were plentiful without being overpowering. Unfortunately, everything else was not as spectacular. The tacos dorados looked and smelled like birria tacos but were fairly bland and better represented as a greasy grilled cheesy taco. A little less grease and a side of consomé would go a long way for these. Between the 2 regular tacos, the barbacoa one had inconsistent texture and was fatty/rubbery, and the al pastor one was good quality meat but had a strange marinade/spice flavor combination. Lastly, all the drinks we ordered were very syrupy especially the jugo de Pepito. It is best described as drinking straight fruit puree and needed water or another liquid added. All in all, I would come back for the asada fries, but would not go out of my way. read more

I feel like i say this every time i try a new taco spot but dang this is my new favorite place for tacos! LOL Even my mother is obsessed and that really says something. I had been drooling over their instagram for as long as i can remember and it certainly lived up to its hype! It's a small shop in an unassuming strip mall with fun art sprawled across the walls and even a little robot to bring your food to the table. The food here definitely hits the spot every time. The agua frescas, the margaritas, the horchata are all amazing. They occasionally make a Hennessy horchata and a strawberry horchata. The food, obviously phenomenal by all the other 5 star reviews you see from other yelpers. You can't go wrong with any item here but my favorites are the shrimp tostadas and any taco of your choice.
