During the most recent snow/ice storm I requested service. in the area most people are dealing with icy roads/driveways due to freezing temperatures and lack of supplies. This company refused to pull in my driveway in their VAN. I made arrangements for them to park in my neighbors plowed yard the next day they refused to walk on the ice to service my home. The tech guy waited in his van for about 15 minutes then left no call or anything. I tried calling back 3 separate times no answer when I finally called from my husband's number someone magically answered. While I'm not at liberty to put anyone's safety at risk if this is an issue that you have had and you witnessed my street/ road conditions why not just decline the service instead of making me continue to wait only to be told after day 2 that you can't service me. And the only concern you have is that you have had 2 technicians come out to waste time and money. Nevermind the fact I have no normal heat running. I called two other places and one (Benjamin Franklin) actually wanted to charge $350 dollars more for the same work, and then came down in price to be just $100 more than Southern...I know I'll never call Benjamin Franklin! They have always changed out the filter for me for free as long as I purchase the filter materials. However the last few times dealing with this company has been absolutely horrible. On 2 separate occasions I have had to call the office because an outrageous bill was sent to me listing services that I did not request and were not performed. Mind you the company is less than 7 mins from my home, and it only takes the worker approximately 9 mins at most to change out the filter as I am here at home while they are doing it. The first bill I received was for $140 worth of charges of which they apologized saying I should have never been charged anything. The latest bill was for $91 of which I called over there explaining to the gentleman who answered the phone and was extremely rude and condescending saying, " we had to come out there didn't we? " I advised him if he looked at the times they have come out they have always done this for free being that they installed the system, and as long as I provided the filter. Im not sure if the gentleman at the office was new or just didn't feel like looking up the information but again he was extremely rude. I checked with 2 other local companies of which one is in downtown Richmond and they even advised if its a unit their company sold and installed that is typically something they will work into their schedule and just change while in route to another location. I was actually going to see about having Adams install a new HVAC in the future but after these last few instances they have lost my trust and will now lose my business. I will be posting this also on other sites to make sure customers are aware of how this company attempts to charge for additional services that were not completed or asked for.

As for the job itself (garbage disposal replacement) the service tech tried to unjam the old one first (which would have saved me money) but came to the conclusion the old one was toast. As he was boxing his tools I asked if White Glove did any water quality testing and explained a problem I suspect I have on my supply line. He offered to take a sample on the spot that would be sent off to a lab. He quoted me a price and said I could pay in a week when the sample came back. How much more could I ask for? Great first experience with White Glove. They are at the top of my list for future needs.

I was actually going to go with another company for my next years annual contract but after meeting Nick and watching him go about his job, I'm staying with White Glove. You might find a few companies cheaper than White Glove but by sticking with them, I know I'm getting my monies worth. Thanks Nick for your professionalism and your work ethic.
