The Duck Inn offers a fun and traditional take on Chicago classics. Their menu offerings are an elevated creation of Chicago dishes such as the Chicago Dog and Decent Beef. It is located in the Bridgeport neighborhood. It was a very warm, chic type of restaurant. You can come on a casual date night, outing with friends or a place to watch sports! They offer a television in their bar area. Although their menu was amazing and nothing to complain about -- one area that fell short for us was service. While it was not bad enough to ruin the meal, it lacked the attentiveness and hospitality we would expect from a place like The Duck Inn. The service felt slow and disconnected. We asked for recommendations and our bartender felt like it was a chore to answer. We had to wait to order food and beverage. This took away from the overall experience. That said, the creative menu and the satisfying outcome of the foods/ our order warrants the given stars. The Duck Inn menu is definitely worth adding to your list and trying!! AMAZING MENU AND FOOD.

I went to the Duck Inn for my birthday dinner on a Sunday night and had a wonderful time! Our server was sweet and very helpful with recommending the best dishes to try. Our favorites were the brown butter crumble brussel sprouts and the duck wings. I thought the whole roast duck was a little lack luster. $85 felt pretty steep a price for two breasts and two legs plus only like six small wedges of duck fat potatoes and a salad. The star of the show was definitely the fois gras crème brûlée. On first glance, it's a confusing combination but the it works perfectly. The fat from the fois gras makes the dish even more creamy and rich with a slightly salty, decadence that would win over any food critic. I fell in love eating it, and am still thinking about it days later. The ambiance of the Duck Inn is fancy/casual. The servers are all wearing jeans and t shirts (more or less) but the vibe is fancy and stylish. You can really wear anything (except maybe pajamas) and fit right in. I really enjoyed the layout of the space, with lots of tables and a nice bar space at the front. The vinyls were a lovely touch in the lowlight of the night. Overall, I would give the Duck Inn 4.5 stars. The only thing really pulling them down was the roast duck because I just didn't think it was worth the price. A definite winner for a birthday dinner though!

We went to The Duck Inn for their Restaurant Week brunch and it was marvelous. The portion of the duck wing and duck hash was significantly larger than expected (I had originally imagined more of a shredded/chopped meat situation lol), and it was incredibly flavorful with a really well balanced flavor profile. Being in Pilsen was also a plus -- easy street parking and perfect for a nice post-brunch digestive walk around the neighborhood afterward. The only slight downside is that they don't offer any regular menu items during Restaurant Week. We had hoped to add a side salad and maybe dessert, but there were no additional side options available, which means we'll have to come back another time! Overall a really enjoyable brunch and an excellent Restaurant Week deal!

From our Japanese Highball, Sicilian White wine, Crudo and Rotisserie Duck as our main dish, we dined extremely well at the Duck Inn! Our server curated a fantastic dinner and paired our dessert with a glass of Montenegro! A very memorable meal!

I came for Chicago's Restaurant Week 2026 and enjoyed everything we tried. Overall, great food for the restaurant week brunch price. Our server was very friendly, parking was easy on the street, and the ambiance was perfect for brunch. Biscuits: 5/10 - dry and flat biscuits, but the butter and jam are great Duck wings: 9/10 Cheese curds: 10/10 - the best cheese curds I've had Spam: 9/10 - thick slices of spam with kimchi mayo sauce Bridgeport Breakfast: 10/10 - large portion with crispy duck leg

We visited for restaurant week and would say that the food quality met expectations. The first course was the beet tartare, which was interesting with the capers and supremed mandarins, and paired well with a few slices of buttered and toasted bread, but failed to convert me into a beet lover. I could still taste the "dirt" flavor of the beets which I didn't wasn't a fan of The curry butternut squash soup was deliciously warm and spicy. I loved the slightly tangy touch to it and the bacon pieces through the soup was a great way to enhance the flavor Both the entrees - duck confit and braised short rib - were really well done. The duck was not overly salted and loved the bed of caramelized onions it sat on top of The braised short ribs had a sweet glaze on top that helped to balance the saltiness and fattiness from the rest of the dish The bananas foster baked alaska was a hit - super fun way to end with the theatrics of a toasted meringue and salted caramel sauce poured over the dish table side. Service was decent but would say I didn't appreciate them come up to me to ask for a receipt after I told them I paid directly through the app. They stopped me at the door in front of other people and when they realized it was their mistake, they simply walked away without any apologies said.

Came here for restaurant week with my friend and it was a great experience! I've been here before and have always enjoyed the food here. We both did the $30 brunch and we started with the buttermilk biscuit with duck fat butter and house jam. The biscuits were quite small but they were moist, and it paired really well with the duck fat butter. For our second course, we had the duck wings and cheese curds. The duck wings were dressed in Japanese bbq sauce which had amazing flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by the cheese curds, they tasted very light and I loved the aioli it came with. For our main dishes, we shared the Duck Hash and Egg McDuckInn. The portions for both dishes were very generous. The duck skin on the duck hash was perfectly crispy and the duck was very tender and moist. Paired with sweet potato hash and scrambled eggs, it made the perfect dish. The Egg McDuckInn was also a very flavorful sandwich, especially paired with the black pepper maple aioli and griddled onions. We were both very satisfied with these dishes. Since we were celebrating my friend's birthday, our server was so nice and gave us a complimentary dessert! It was very generous of him and it tasted delicious, it was some sort of apple pastry with ice cream. We definitely enjoyed our experience and we will be coming back!

Up 'n' Over Burger with Decent Beef: A stellar diner-style double cheeseburger. Upgrading it with the shaved prime rib ("Decent Beef") and giardiniera turns it into one of the most decadent mashup sandwhiches in the city. Wow that was a great burger this place has great service. Thanks for being so great.

I couldn't love a place more! The Duck Inn has amazing food, a great bar selection, and really cool aesthetic. I enjoy the service and the fact that it seems that everyone remembers me. Each time I come I feel welcome and I'm always happy to be there.

Came here for Chicago Restaurant Week 2026 and honestly the $60 dinner is a great deal! Portions were generous and everything felt thoughtfully done. The vibe inside is dark, moody, and the staff is super friendly! For restaurant week we started with the umami beet tartare which surprised me because it's a cold dish with unique flavors. The second dish was the wild mushroom and creamy toasted barley was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. If you like risotto types of food you'll like this dish. The third dish was absolutely the star of the night - the confit duck - wow SO good! Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily the best dish on the menu. Finished with the bananas foster baked Alaska, which was a fun and delicious ending. They were very accommodating with my food allergies, which I really appreciated. I also tried the brussels sprouts and loved them, and my friend got the duck wings and couldn't stop talking about how good they were. For the price, the portions, and the quality, this is absolutely worth trying!

Snowy Sunday morning for brunch and it was so great! A cute little spot on the corner, we got here around 11:15 on Sunday and it was too busy but plenty of tables with guests. Our server was sweet and knowledgeable. I got the Duck Hash and it was yummy! I'm usually not a fan of soft scramble but it worked with the hash. The only thing is I wish there were more potatoes included with the meal, I only got a few but everything was cooked so well!! I would return to check out their dinner menu!

My friends and I decided to meet up at the Duck Inn for brunch on a Sunday morning. We were able to make a reservation the day before so I thought the restaurant wouldn't be super busy, but it was actually packed! The decor throughout the restaurant was pretty cool, with many ducks scattered about and some news articles about the restaurant. I got to try their Rotisserie Duck Hash and the French Toast. The soft-scrambled eggs and hollandaise sauce that came in the hash were delightful and complemented the duck very well. The duck itself was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, exactly what I wanted. The French Toast had apricots and some crumble on it and I really enjoyed that combination. I really had no notes about the food! Service throughout the meal was excellent, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. I can't wait to come back for dinner and try their full rotisserie duck! Food: 4.75/5 Service: 4.5/5 Price: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Overall: 4.5/5

I came to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday during Restaurant Week. The food was delicious and full of flavor. I especially loved the duck and would definitely come back just for the rotisserie duck. Our server was very welcoming. I would recommend this place to family and friends. Street parking available.

It was no wonder when we arrived that there was a line out the door. We waited around 45 minutes, and the bouncer was a really nice fellow who kept track of the numbers and people at the door. Upon entering, we were immersed in a dimly lit retro-style lounge. It was quite loud inside and packed as we walked to our seats. The server was great at taking our orders and offering suggestions. I opted for the French 75, which featured sparkling wine and mixed gin, brandies, and citrus. The drink was delicious, but STRONG. I don't know what they put in the cocktails in America, but I am always finished after one drink. Needless to say, we were all struggling to finish our own drinks. My favourite touch was the coasters, I ended up keeping all of them so that I can reuse them at my galentines event next year. The 'bisous' with the kiss on the other side is a perfect touch! I think the drinks are fairly priced for USD. I would love to return someday to try other drinks and bar bites, and also try their sister bar, Sparrow.

Imagine my shock when we didn't even make it past the bouncer because he was so rude, AS OTHER RECENT REVIEWS HAVE MENTIONED AS WELL! We had dinner nearby and walked to Bisous after, and saw there was a line of 5 or 6 people outside. We expected this as we knew Bisous is a first come, first serve bar. We were curious what the wait time would look like, so we approached the front door to ask a host or employee inside (we assumed there'd be a desk with an employee working it who could give us a wait time). We had no problem waiting, just wanted to see how long they estimated it would be! Before we could even fully open the door, the bouncer swung the door open from the other side and hit me with the door. I stumbled back a few steps and he looked at us and said, and I quote, "What do you want?". I laughed at first because I thought he was joking and putting on a tough guy act. He was not. We quickly explained we just wanted to see what the wait time was, and he said "don't you see there's a line outside?" We said yes, and explained we just wanted to know a rough estimated wait time. He just blankly stared at us while ushering us out. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer-service roles for a very, very long time. This encounter was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but he also hit me hard enough with the door to send me stumbling back, and then said nothing about it and continued to address us in a tone that was nothing less than annoyed and irritated. We didn't end up going inside because that encounter left such a bad taste in our mouths. I don't believe in spending my money at establishments that don't treat their customers with the bare minimum respect they deserve! Bummed we didn't get to experience it, as I'm sure it was lovely inside and I can only hope the rest of the employees were much more kind and accommodating, or at least able to answer a simple question. Fire your "bouncer" (??) and hire someone with some basic customer service and communication skills!!

We made a reservation ahead of time, which I'd definitely recommend, but it wasn't overly packed and we were seated without any issues. The vibe in there is top tier. People were standing right behind me to order drinks; I didn't feel overly crowded by any means but some who aren't used to that kind of bar/clubby vibe might feel that way. The music was a little loud to be heard over all the folks there, but I wasn't talking to anyone so it didn't bother me (was just sitting and reading a book). The bartender was really nice and attentive despite the fact that the place was so packed. I had a drink called the "Gentle Fish" which the bartender rec'd as a sweeter/more floral drink. Admittedly it was a little strong, but the flavor was nice! It was different from most other drinks I've had, and I enjoyed it. Was strong enough I definitely did not need another though. Of note, this place is downstairs under "The Hoxton" hotel, there's no entrance directly to the bar from the sidewalk/street (you have to enter the hotel lobby, then follow the signs toward the back and go down the elevator and/or stairs). There is a person who checks your ID when you enter and seats you if seats are available. The bathrooms were very clean. Not sure about parking but street parking is definitely very limited; I imagine a paid lot would probably be the easiest thing or taking the train from wherever you're staying if you can (which is what I did).

I was excited for the experience having heard how busy it gets, blah blah. These positive reviewers need to seek out other tiki bars. After you negotiate the alley entrance and go down dangerously dark stairs, you are met with crazy boring decor. I kept thinking there had to be more right? The whole point of a tiki bar is to strike a mood, but hanging a very few polynesian masks on the wall, putting up a grass facade over the bar and dressing the servers in vaguely polynesian outfits is sad. I've seen private tiki bars at people's homes that are more exciting. Add to this a comparably boring music selection played far too loud over boomy lo-fi speakers and you'll wonder what's going on here. So what about the food and drink? Completely uninspired for anyone who's had more than a mai tai before in their life. About a dozen extremely common drink choices is all you get!! No specials, that's it. When I asked if this was the whole cocktail menu, the server said it was but they have a full bar so you can get anything you want. Well, I could get that service at just about any bar in the world, so big deal. Maybe it would be better if you sat at the bar and chatted up the bartender. One could also go taste their rum selections and other cocktails in the Bamboo Room, but I hate that kind of elitist nonsense. That's never been what tiki bars were about. The drinks we sampled were okay at best. Even the namesake 3 Dots and A Dash cocktail was lackluster and used cheap cherries for the dots instead of classic Luxardos. (If you know, you know) The appetizers were okay, but way overpriced. 5 tiny spring rolls for $18. Come on guys, enough already. I'd rather go to the bar at the Polynesian Hotel at Disney than return here. This place is a hard pass.
