Falafel Pita
Lauren C.

I ordered a falafel pita and it was delicious. The falafel was flavorful and not dry. The spicy sauce that I picked to go with it complemented the pita really well and wasn't too spicy. I was so full and satisfied after eating. The wait time was reasonable, everything was clean, staff was friendly and there was plenty of space to sit. Will definitely come back here.

One half of the chicken on lavash wrap. Very good!

Very good chicken wrap on lavash. You can also do this on a pita. I ordered this with everything except onion and jalapeño. It was very good and flavorful and one half is a great size since I shared this with my hubby. Service was good and ambiance is open. One side of this hop is for the wraps, sandwiches, flatbread. The other side is for coffee, drinks, and dessert. Family owned, husband and wife duo. High tables and chairs inside. Outside a few low tables and chairs but in the sun no shade. Parking lot beside shop so nice and convenient.

Falafel wrap

The falafel wrap was delicious and huge!! Definitely worth the price! The place was nice and clean with free water.

So on our way to the beach we stopped at this place in the strip mall, just south of the gas station, in the Village. It was DELICIOUS!! James, the owner, from Poland, does it all. He is the cook, greeter, etc and just him!! The portions were HUGE! Please check it out and give him your business. I would like to see this business stick around!!

Affagato

I was feeling a little afternoon treat and pick me up and this place hit the spot! I've never had such a fancy affagato, oooo and it tasted delicious. We had the greatest conversation with the barista behind the counter he was so friendly and fun to talk with. This place is connected to a kebab restaurant and it smelled amazing! I had just finished lunch so was looking for that sweet treat but next time I'm in town I plan on coming back here and getting something from the restaurant. It's a one stop shop lunch or dinner, then coffee after!

Mixed meat sandwich with everything + feta + hummus

I finally found my go-to kebab spot on the Gulf coast. The Duo | Doner Kebab serves up one of the most vibrant, downright delicious mixed-meat sandwiches I've had since leaving Chicago. Every bite bursts with fresh, aromatic spices, and the rainbow of veggies layered inside makes the presentation almost too pretty to eat. What I ordered Mixed-meat sandwich + combo (fries & Coke) Added feta & hummus -- heads-up: they're $1.99 each One wrap for my partner Total came to $43 -- a touch steep, but understandable for the area and the quality. Highlights Flavor & freshness: Meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned; veggies tasted like they'd been prepped minutes before hitting the bread. Fries: Hot, fluffy centers with a crispy (not greasy) shell. They tasted straight out of the fryer, not the freezer. Ambiance: Bright, modern interior with upbeat, trendy music and spotless tables. Location perks: Nestled in a strip mall just outside the main Siesta Key bustle, so no sidewalk crowds and plenty of hassle-free parking. A couple small notes The bread on the sandwich couldn't quite keep up with all that filling; expect to finish with a fork. (If that bugs you, grab a wrap or plate -- I will next time.) The in-house bakery looked amazing but seemed closed when we visited; no staff at the counter, so I'm still dreaming about those pastries. Pro tip: Roll in around 7 p.m., enjoy your meal, leave the car, and stroll a few blocks to catch the sunset -- dinner and a show without fighting for a parking spot on the Key. Bottom line: worth every penny for kebab this good. We'll be back, forks ready, until the bread learns to keep up. Duo just claimed the title of best kebab since Chicago for me.

Mixed Meat Döner Bowl with Jalapeño added

A Must-Try in Sarasota! If you're in Sarasota and haven't been to The DUO Döner & Deli, you're seriously missing out. I had their Mixed Meat Döner Bowl, and let me tell you--it wasn't just food; it was a religious experience. Every bite was packed with perfectly seasoned meat, fresh ingredients, and bold flavors that made me question every mediocre meal I've ever had. Pro Tip: Go ahead, add the feta cheese and hummus. If you are spicy like me, add Jalapeño. This is not the time to hold back on add ons. This spot is a hidden gem that deserves all the hype. Whether you're a die-hard döner fan or trying it for the first time, get yourself to The DUO and experience culinary greatness. You can thank me later!

Don't miss this awesome euro-style eatery that is tucked in a strip mall in Siesta Key Village, just south of the Circle K gas station. Jacob (pronounced YA-koob) honed his culinary skills across Europe. Top-notch ingredients (such as paper-thin lavash bread from Tampa) elevate his "street food" well above your expectations. It was a yummy meal in a clean, euro-modern setting. There are several high-top tables if you want to eat IN, or take your goodies (and plenty of napkins) to eat at home.

Awesome new spot! Delicious, fresh, food served with passion! You must give it a try...great location and service. We came with a group and tried almost everything including coffee. They are truly bringing an international flavor to Sarasota. Keep it up!

Very convenient food stand located right on the beach…read more If you didn't bring a SINGLE snack like us to the beach and skipped breakfast (I know I know, WHO does that?) then you'll literally be the happiest human to know this place exists. We were in the mood for an easy beach day and didn't want to make a million stops and pack all the things. Knowing this place was around made our beach day so easy. Pros: breakfast food is available until 11am, they have all kinds of snacks, drinks, food - from burgers to nachos, quesadillas to grilled cheese. Cons: it's just a fast food spot, nothing super special about the food, the staff is half nice half stand off ish, the in house canned margaritas are just artificial lemonade. What I love the MOST about this place is you can place an order online ahead of time. Even better, you can place an order right from your beach chair and then meet at a specific meet point and they'll deliver it to you. Super cool and convenient especially with the extra long walk to their stand. I genuinely love the home made margarita cans but it would be nice if they actually put some tequila in it. Sadly, you do pay for a cocktail and get an extra light version of it.

Greetings! With me,…read moreyou'll always get what I think is the best of the best, and if I'm lucky, the best of the best of what you would never find on your own unless someone told you to go there. Out-of-the-way places that are unexpected treasures are my favorite places to find myself . For today's review, let me invite you to the unusual yet very ordinary locale that is Siesta Beach Sand Pavilion. First, we start with a word about Siesta Beach. It is an award-winning stop noted for its most define quartz sand in the country, if not the world. Add to a tremendous location Sarasota surrounding environment makes CSO a hotspot for beach, lovers, family, getaways, and people watching extraordinaire. A special note about Siesta Key Beach Drum Circle's that take place here at sunset Sunday nights. The sand pavilion serves up some unexpectedly good comfort foods. The main feature for me that I always plan to have whenever I'm in Sarasota is the blackened mahi-mahi sandwich. Fresh fish, great seasoning made to order perfect every time. The sandwich is served up on a great bun with lettuce, tomato and onion the condiments that you might care for are available at your request. There's nothing vin ordinaire about the sandwich they serve. Honorable mention besides the blackened fish sandwich are the chicken tenders and other great comfort foods. You also have a variety of great cold beer choices, and access to sheltered seating and washrooms to give yourself a well-deserved break from the sun for your time at Siesta Key Beach. The sand Pavilion is staffed by friendly, efficient staff that always seem to add a touch of local charm. The Santa pavilion at Siesta Key Beach is a bit off the beaten path away from the mainland, and can be very crowded about any given time that the weather might be nice enough for a stop at the beach. Take my word, it's worth it every time! Until next time...tk

It's got a relaxing beach vibe with outside seating and a nice patio in the back with enough shade. I could tell that they host nightly entertainment here with a small stage. For lunch, I ordered the lobster maki roll. I'm not a big sushi fan, but I was intrigued. This lobster roll was one of the best sushi rolls I've had in a long time. Also ordered include the blackened grouper sandwich, billionaire burger, and tempura shrimp appetizer. Our group loved every entree. The cocktails were also refreshing. I really loved my jalapeño watermelon margarita. Our server was wonderful - very friendly and quick service. Definitely an enjoyable lunch or dinner spot!

We booked this place via OpenTable since it received great reviews. We ended up parking next door…read moresince parking was a bit hard to navigate. The parking place had ample parking where you needed a mobile app to pay for your parking. There was a larger souvenir store there if you needed to kill time before your seating. Once it was our time for our dinner reservations, we were greeted and seated at our table. Our waitress was a bit sarcastic or had a witty comments that didn't sit well with my kids. When ordering our foods, the kids asked what type of drinks they had since it was not listed on the menu. She said Coke but didn't elaborate that they had Coke products. Since she said Coke so fast our daughter didn't hear the response and asked her the question again where she just said that's a great question and ignored her and moved on. Food wise - we had the Peruvian ceviche, Peruvian chicken, I think I had a special grouper dish. The food was good. We were able to eat everything and the kids enjoyed their kids burger meals. Outside of the waitress comments, the place placed nice modern music to listen to and had the basketballs games playing on the tv at the bar.
