Service was okay, the staff member that took my order was definitely on the cold/rude side but I understand it must be hard to work for people who are mostly on vacation when you're not. My friends recommended Anna's deli to me so I had it on my hit list for my recent visit. It's a no frills deli serving up made to order sandwiches that are massive and a great value. There are a few signature Sammies and you can pick your choice of bread and cheese. You can also make your own sandwich with a selection of two meats. On my first visit I got the tuna salad. Wowza. It was delish. I opted for a half with a side of potato salad and it was a delish lunch for under $8. I had to bring some of this greatness to my fam, so I returned later that week. I opted for the surfer then which is ham and Turkey with cucumbers and cheese and it was DIVINE. I know everything tastes better on vacation but this may have been one of the best deli sandwiches I have ever had. I also ordered pickles and I love that they cut the spears fresh to order from a whole pickle. Some tips for the people that I got from the super friendly woman that helped me- the tuna is her favorite, and the marble bread is the best with the pastrami as a close second, and the surfer is the most popular sandwich on the menu. All whole sandwiches are under $10 and it comes on a round piece of bread cut in 4s. The whole is super filling, and the half hits just perfect. My suggestion- find a friend and go half and half on a whole and live your best life! This is one of two locations for Anna's. There's an ample amount of parking in the strip mall, and you can order ahead by calling. Their other location has hot sandwiches on the menu, which sound delish! Today was my first time eating here, and I'll definitely be back. I ordered the Surfer, and it was huge. I could've easily ordered half and be full, or shared it someone else. They piled on the meat, which was awesome. There's some kind of sauce on it (called Anna's sauce), and it added an extra kick of flavor. Moving from CA, I'm accustomed to sandwiches having cucumbers on them, but haven't seen much of that out here, so that was a nice touch. Added a bit of crunch. The guy taking orders was really friendly and funny, and took time to explain a few things, but didn't rush me at all. The only reason I took off one star is because entering and exiting the parking lot is a bit confusing. Not the problem of the business, but since it's so busy right there, it was a bit annoying. Another Good round sandwich My great review from a few years ago still stands strong. I stopped in yesterday for another Surfer, and it was excellent. That sandwich is always excellent. The round "can" bread was very soft, the filling flavorful. The staff was great, my sandwich prepared before I even finished paying. They have tables inside where I enjoyed by food, the décor a beach, waves, island feel. I had arrived late and was still eating when it was closing time. I found Anna's when I picked up a package from the pack and ship next door near the end of our vacation. I wish I would have found them earlier in the week. We would've eaten here a bunch. Sandwiches are awesome. They have 5 or 6 specialty ones or you can create your own. We had a couple of the specialty ones. The surfer and the villager. I loved the way they assembled them with the cheese and veggie sandwiched between the paper thin sliced meats piled high. Very filling. The special sauce was delicious. I finally got a chance to try this place out after hearing people rave about it for years. I have mixed feelings and I know it's a Siesta Key staple and a class that's not going anywhere and honestly I would try it again. The decor inside is lacking but it's mostly pick up to go orders anyway I'm sure so it's not problematic, there is also a significant odor, maybe seafood? They do serve tuna and other seafood as well as liverwurst. I ordered whole turkey sandwich. The size was too big (that's my fault, I didn't notice they offer half sizes). The price was reasonable, $11 including everything fit a very large sandwich. Not a fan of the cucumbers or Anna's sauce but if you love brown mustard it's for you. Other than that the sandwich tasted good but the bread doesn't hold up to the moisture (not sure if they offer toasted). The cashier was very nice, the hygiene practices of the other staff members preparing food was above par by far, and the service was very quick! If I get a chance to try again I will update my review after I change my order slightly to suit my tastes. read more

Anna's Deli in Siesta Key is a quaint, simple eatery with fantastic sandwiches and friendly service. My fiance and I spent the first part of our day at the beach on Siesta Key. It was my first visit down there and the beach was outstanding. We definitely wanted to grab lunch before we headed back to Tampa and initially thought about getting pubsubs. I suggested we look for a local sandwich shop instead. As luck would have it, Yelp suggested Anna's right off the top. We packed up and headed down the street to Anna's. It was about a 5-minute drive from the public beach parking we were at. Anna's is located in a strip plaza with other places such as a Post Office and a beach bike rental place. We walked up and the place was a little busy. The line was nearly to the door and there were people outside waiting as well. The line moved pretty quick. My fiance ordered their signature sandwich, the Surfer. It had ham, turkey, Swiss cheese and cucumbers on it. I ordered the Skater. This allows you to choose two meats and two toppings. With any sandwich, you can choose your bread. The sides are pretty simple. Potato salad, coleslaw or a small selection of bagged potato chips. When we walked in, the covid-19 limited seating was fully packed but by the time we got our food, a table was open, so we took it. We were here around 1:30ish so it was busy lunchtime. As for the food, we both thought it was excellent. The sandwiches were made fresh, they were big and stacked with meat and toppings. The bread was fresh and the sizes allowed them to be cut into four equal pieces. I ordered my skater with bologna and turkey with American cheese and "Anna's Sauce". I'm not sure what it was, but it was really good. The bologna and the turkey were both thinly sliced with generous portions. My fiance loved her sandwich as well. The fresh turkey, ham and cucumber was also topped with Anna's famous sauce. For sides, we ordered potato salad and a bag of chips. The potato salad was good but was lacking a little in flavor my tastes. Next time I would definitely like to try the coleslaw. This local eatery has been operating since 1971 and it's obviously a Siesta Key favorite. It's easy to see why. The food is superb, the staff was friendly and efficient, even during a lunch rush. When we head back to Siesta Key, we will be back here for lunch. One side note, if you have been to Wrights Gourmet in Tampa, the sandwiches at Anna's are very similar. read more

Just moved here a week ago and my friend said they ate here on a vacation years ago and I should try it. I didn't really have any clue what I was in for. I thought a nice basic sandwich - mk sounds nice I guess but wow. Like I legitimately was already excited about coming back before I even finished my first quarter! It was so pillowy and light and fresh. The meat was so finely sliced it made the entire sandwich divine in every way. Not too much sauce just the right amount of everything. The best start to our yearly vacation is getting sandwiches from Anna's as soon as we arrive! You can order there but we tend to call about 5-10 minutes ahead (they can make sandwiches pretty fast so timing just seems to depend on how busy they are) and run in to pick up the sandwiches. Indoor decor would not really entice someone to eat there, it is a deli after all, but there are some booths. Surfer Sandwich is a MUST TRY. On marble rye, specifically. We've also made our own sandwiches/combos and they are equally as good! Can't go wrong here. They have a great little service line going of meat being sliced, sandwiches being made and then wrapped. Everything was incredibly fresh. The meats, bread & toppings.
