Went in after seeing a pop up of their meatball grinder special on yelp. Man behind counter is always super attentive. I can be a wierd meatball person. Sometimes Ill taste & be like"no!" Texture, taste,etc. I'll get all hyped up & then dissapointed. This meatball grinder did not disappoint. Texture perfect, great taste, just enough sauce & oozing melted cheese. read more

Food was cooked to perfection and lots of it. Waitress and cook were happy to make any request as long as the ingredients were available. Coffee was hot and fresh. Clean and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend this. We were waiting for our windshield to be replace and stumbled upon the Diner. read more

My partner and I just bought a home in the neighborhood right across from The Eagles Nest. We work from home and are always looking for new places for a quick takeout lunch. I have a lot of dietary restrictions and sandwiches are easy on the stomach, so I love a good local deli. I tempered my expectations knowing the Eagles Nest is new to the area, but they have since blown us away with both their food and customer service. I often get paninis on the plain side and they are always cooked to perfection. We love the availability of hot sides like tater tots. I recommended a cookie on their Facebook page and they actually made it (and it was delicious, affordable and HUGE)! They have modified salads, sandwiches and grinders to our tastes, made lunch early in the day when we needed to work around meetings and are super friendly to my partner every time he goes. We're so happy to have them in the neighborhood and look forward to patronizing them on a weekly basis. read more

Nice when you are greeted by the owner and treated like a local. Excellent burger with crisp bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle slices, cooked perfectly and set on a very fresh lightly toasted bun. Side of tater tots was huge! This local dinner has really good food and customer service. We walk up to the counter to order our food and sit down and the food comes out in minutes. The burgers are really good and they cook it the way you want it. The grilled cheese with bacon is awesome because they toast the bread and melt the cheese perfectly, the bacon is always crispy, the curly fries are also really crispy and come out right every time. My family and I ate there last Saturday. We found this gem of a place when we got hungry while in town on an errand. The owners and staff are welcoming, helpful, salt of the earth, and very special needs family friendly. After looking at the menu we decided we would even have dessert. We ordered: The pastrami Reuben, Wicked Chicken, 5 piece chicken tenders, Chicken Salad sandwich, and order of fries and drinks. For dessert we chose; oreo cake, tiramisu, and carrot cake. Every aspect of our meal and experience was fantastic. Each of us tried a bite of each item. No one had anything but yum to say about each item. My oldest is a buffalo chicken lover and it was so good he devoured it quickly. He was raving about how good it was. My reuben was one of the best I've ever had. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKING A DRIVE TO TRY THEIR FOOD. We live on the coast and we'll be back there for sure. read more

My husband and I stopped for lunch at this Deli after a visit to a new dermatologist. We're new to the state and we wanted to experience a local dining spot that rated 5 stars and rave reviews in our internet search. I ordered a tuna melt and my husband had the Cheese, Bacon plus their own extra ingredients Quesadillas. I could only eat half of my sandwich because I insisted on sampling the Quesadillas. And the warm, crinkly French Fries. We live in Beacon Falls but it is only a half hour away and we will be back just to enjoy the food and the ambiance. They had wintertime window art by a local artist, warm conversations with drop by customers and friendly conversations all around, including us. It was relaxing and the food was delicious. Their menu is extensive and mouthwatering just to read it. And did I say that we ended up taking half of our sandwich & Quesadillas home with us.
