French Toast with Strawberries and whipped cream. French Fries, Bacon and two Eggs over hard with cheese
    William G.

First, we have eaten at Linda's several times and we have ALWAYS had a great experience here. From the moment you walk in the door the staff are always smiling and polite. The seem genuinely happy to see you. Second, the food is always a hit. On this particular day, my wife totally won with her order. This was probably the best Grilled cheese with tomato, bacon and onions I've ever eaten, I mean it was just that good!! My French toast was good, but it could have been just a tad sweeter, like it needed some powdered sugar or something. The French fries were perfect and so was the bacon. This is your typical diner set up. Nothing crazy but it gets the job done. They could use an update to brighten up the place a bit but as long as the food is delicious we will keep coming back.

I grew up on diner dining and can be hard on places in reviews due to comparison & history. Despite the massive menu with seemingly unlimited options and kitchen chaos, a great diner has to be clean and serve bigger than your eyes and belly. Linda's is not the classic diner I remember but it checks all the boxes that truly matter; extremely clean, great staff, a full menu and plates. Truly looking forward to trying so much more.

Short stack of pancakes and two scrambled eggs

Nice atmosphere, kind service, and good food. The pancakes were HUGE and they were delicious :) The eggs were a great addition. Overall a good experience!

If you like greasy, rubbery food served cold after waiting a long time by rude waitstaff, this is the place for you.

I went alone today because I needed to pick a place for breakfast and get some sustenance in my body because I know I'm gonna need it. I'm working a side quest later today and I had time before my train came. There's not much to this diner, but it does kind of have an old-timey feel to it which is not at all a bad thing in this case. The lighting gives off a vibe that this place might have been more posh in a time long ago. But I think what really factors into my rating today is the customer service because all the employees I came across today here were super chill and nice. One of them took the time to notice I was wearing a fundraiser shirt and we talked a little bit about Tom Petty which was nice. One bit that might make you readers chuckle is that my waitress asked out of the blue if I vlog. I said no and she remarked I looked like I would be good at it. I smiled at that because little did they know I write reviews here on Yelp and I was not about to let them know that. On top of all that, service was very quick. In fact, it was quick enough to make me think twice about paying another visit to Spirit Cafe in the future. I was greeted immediately (I decided on a bar seat since I was by myself), they got my food out real quick, I got my coffee almost right after I ordered, and they even took care to bring out the syrup in advance with my coffee. Also, prices are very reasonable. For what I had today, my price was $12.29, which for 2026 is pretty good when you consider that breakfast was a full stack of french toast with a side of bacon. There is a $10 credit card minimum, but since I had a food order this time around I didn't mind that as much this time around. As for the food, coffee was good. I was given the full stack, sliced in half with butter to spread around, and 3 strips of bacon. And before any weirdos decide to judge me, yes I do put syrup on my bacon. Might as well since I'm having something such as french toast. The bacon was crispy and seasoned well. Where I do have a slight criticism for was the french toast. I usually do not like to see the egg whenever I am served this breakfast, and I was able to see the egg used in this order. It was also a little on the soggy side, but not too bad. It was an overall satisfying breakfast that will help tie me over to lunch and/or dinner. Honestly, even though my rating here is a 4, it really should be a 4.5 and that is what I would actually give it if half-stars were a thing. The customer service was excellent enough that you can't really go wrong with either rating here. I will gladly return another chance I get.

I may drive around looking for a parking spot but I've yet to have to wait for a table inside the establishment. This says a lot because their parking lot is big. The inside appears small but they have a patio with an enclosed or outdoor option. I came at brunch time 11 am on a Saturday. It was packed hut not overcrowded. This is a diner that is friendly for children. They have a kids breakfast and lunch menu. With many side items you can order. They have specials that they offer. I opted for the soup d'jour with a sandwich. The soup was the star of the day. It was manhattan clam chowder which o haven't had in quite some time. It was a nice reminiscent meal from my childhood- oh how I loved when my mom made me manhattan clam chowder. I finished every bit of my soup and could've ordered more to go. It was savory with a bit of spice. I did not add anything to it. The chunks of clam were not big and honestly they didn't stand out, but it was still an amazing soup just because it was unexpected. The sandwich was boring - roast beef with options of lettuce, mayo, and tomato ( and thread choices - white, rye, Italian). I hot roasted Italian bread. The toast was a bit browner than I'd have liked- not their fault everyone is different. To add onions would've been an up charge- I considered it but I was heading to a basketball game I didn't want to pay extra for stinky breath. They did allow me to have horseradish instead of mayo. And I had coffee that my waitress made sure was full at all times. My boys loved their food. One had the chocolate chip pancakes from the kids meal with sausage. The other had the Caesar salad wrap from the regular menu. The portion sizes were huge. Our bill was less than $50 which is saying a lot for all that we had to eat. And everyone ordered what they wanted without being limited by the time of the day. I love this diner and will head back often. It is a comfy family spot, where you feel at home: They can accommodate large groups also.

She was on her A game & took care of me. My grilled cheese bread was buttered up & crisp in all the right places. My bacon was crunchy & the cheese was cheesing. My fruit was very fresh & refreshing. Inside is cozy & comforting like a grandma's living room but w/o the plastic covers on the couch. It was very sparkling clean including the bathrooms which honestly deserves its own round of applause.
